From Owner Jim to the whole team for scheduling and actual work performed to remove all old knob and tube and rewire our 1906 home, we had an excellent experience with Red's Electric.

Their quote was reasonable and there were no hidden fees. All their recommendations were solid (even the ones we didn't take and now wish we had) - the work was performed on time, the team was extremely respectful, thorough, friendly and ultimately did great work. When one of our areas didn't pass inspection, Red's quickly scheduled a follow-up visit and made all necessary modifications at no additional charge.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Red's Electric. We had to get quite a bit of electrical work done on our old home. They provided a detailed estimate, answered our many questions, and did a great job completing the work. The job turned out to be more difficult than they originally thought, but they stuck to their original quote (even though they had to stay late a few days and do some additional work). They made sure the job was done right and that everything was working perfectly before they finished. I will definitely be using them again in the future for any of our electrician needs.

I just had my second very positive experience with Red's Electric. The first time, they installed a higher capacity plug in my home that had very complicated routing needs and today they helped troubleshoot a fuse issue. Both experiences were punctuated by professional courtesy, fairness and timely response. Well run electrical company as far as I can see.

We had an issue with power not coming on after trying to install new lighting fixtures in the kitchen. The problem was beyond our abilities to fix. I called Red’s on Sunday, they scheduled us for first thing Tuesday but had a cancellation and were able to come earlier on Monday. Ronnie arrived and dove right in, she identified the issue and then found more issues that we had been living with since a recent remodel. She fixed EVERYTHING in record time! We have used Reds for over 15 years for all of our electrical needs. They are all very professional and knowlegeable and we recommend them to all our friends and family.

Electricians themselves were friendly, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. The rest was a mess, qouted 3 day job, it lasted 2 months (9/24/24-11/25/24), this was both due to poor scheduling on Reds part, and electricians leaving 3 hours earlier than quoted each day.
Though the estimator seemed to be taking notes and listening, I found that I had to repeat requests to the electricians, and then was treated as if they were favors to me, despite being very clear during the quote (I wanted 2 light fixtures moved during rewire). While they were very transparent about the dozen drywall holes I would need to repair, they never mentioned that they would be punching a hole through my roof, negating my roof’s warranty. When I pointed out that the mast installation was not flashed properly, I was told “I’m sorry it’s not up to your standards, this is how we always do it.” Then they came back and slapped some more tar on it. I had to call a roofer in, as I didn’t want permanent water damage.
Before the job was complete I got a call from a confused employee asking if the final 50% payment had been lost. I had to explain that the job wasn’t even completed yet. We were repeatedly told they would schedule the required city inspection, but when we called the city, we found that Reds never scheduled it. While it did pass inspection there were corners that they had cut (exposed wires, no hard wired smoke detectors).
After inspection they came out for one last ‘clean-up’. Where I was told ‘just so you know, you’ll be missing a big piece of siding over here when I’m done’. At this point it was November, so I spent that weekend unexpectedly replacing siding on my home. Communication, both internally, and with the client, is absolutely lacking.

James came by in December to do an estimate walkthrough and worked with us to ensure that we were getting the best value for what we wanted to do. He was extremely easy to work with. On the day of the work, Joe and Guthrie showed up on time and did an amazing job. I cannot say enough about the care that they took to ensure that the minimal amount of damage was done to the surrounding areas of the install and rewire. They were extremely thoughtful in the approach to each detail of the job, down to diligently wiping their shoes before entering our carpeted basement. The quality of their work was outstanding and I highly recommend them to do any electrical project you may need.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The scheduling office was phenomenal and communicative. Doyle was amazing - he was knowledgeable, respectful, and explained how I had lost power. He made fantastic recommendations that really improved the quality of lighting in my home. Costs came in for my home exactly as the front office had described it would. Doyle walked me through the final charges to make sure I understood where the numbers were coming from. He was so amazing that I recommended Red's Electric Company to my family. James came over to do a free estimate for a family member and it was the same great experience. Scheduling was done very well, the estimator came exactly on time, and spoke with a good depth of knowledge. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for professional good service.

Waited a while to review but after ten months I’ve never experienced any issues with their work and at the time of installation they were polite/professional. Had a panel upgrade from 100 to 200 amp that was priced much more competitively than three other companies.

Red's moved an electrical panel and laid some grounded outlets as part of a garage remodel. There was some miscommunication between me, the estimator, and the electricians about how the outlets would look (i.e., they set more industrial ones suitable for a garage rather than cleaner looking ones for what will be an office). When I contacted Red's about this, they fixed it as soon as possible. Throughout the process, the staff was always friendly, helpful, and absolutely punctual.

Reds is always so professional and easy to deal with. I trust them with all my electrical needs and tell all our friends about them. If you want the job done correctly the fist time these are the guys to call. Very high quality of workmanship every time we need them on a project.

I had Red's upgrade my electrical panel for a heat pump and reroute an old, out-of-code, dishwasher electrical line. The process was great from start to finish!

All of the folks that I interacted with made sure I understood the different steps involved. They were very thorough in their approach and communication—including coordinating with PGE, adjusting around around tree trimming needs, sending a roofer to confirm that the shingles around the new mast had been properly sealed, and submitting/scheduling permits with the City of Portland.

The electricians that completed the project were kind and efficient and solved all the weird issues that come up in an old house. The worksite was left fully clean after they finished.

Red's pricing is very reasonable for the high quality of the work. I gathered a number of bids for this project and they were very straightforward with their pricing and were not at all pushy with sales. I appreciate that they are focused on doing what they do really well and not on marketing services you don't want. Additionally, they are part of Qualified Electricians PDX and they can connect you with a coupon for $200–$300 off the project.
