I received several bids for electrical work on our home and ultimately chose Callahan for the work. Glad I did! Steve’s crew were professional and great to work with, very flexible with us as well. We had 2 new exterior lights added and old electric removed. They arrived on time however we needed to remove some more sheet rock so they could access the wiring. They were able to move another appointment around to allow us time to do what needed to get done and were able to come back in the afternoon. Overall great experience and I definitely know who to call next time we need electrical work done!

The crew from Callahan Electric are the best. They are punctual, professional and fun to work with. They clean up after themselves and stop to explain any time I don't understand what they are doing. We have been using them since 2017 for various projects from installing a new electrical panel to hanging a chandelier. We will continue to call them with future electrical needs.

Excellent company and service from start to finish. We had a short somewhere in the house leaving the front of house and outdoor lights dark. Called this company and had a very helpful person on the phone that set us up with appointment about 2 weeks out (not an emergency or it might have been sooner). Before the appointment we were contacted about earlier time than original and that worked for us, we also had that time confirmed so we were not kept guessing and waiting. Marshall was able to quickly find the problem and fix the short and it was not where we expected, he also found another issue that he fixed. Overall very happy with timeliness skill and speed of this company and its crew Also bill was very reasonable and that was a nice surprise.

Callahan Electric called at 8:30 this morning and asked if they could change my afternoon appointment to this morning between 9:30 p-10:00. Murray came, replaced the 2 fluorescent lights with the new ballast free LED ceiling lights I had ordered on Amazon. He.also tightened the loose outlet box screw in the kitchen and replaced a 2 hole outlet with a grounded 3 hole outlet. All in about 30 minutes. Initial inspection, call charge was quoted at $225 or $250, I don’t remember which and $150/hr after that. He was early by 3/4 of a day and very thorough and very nice and worked efficiently and quickly to get all done in the 30 minutes. I have now added them to my contacts. I will definitely be using them again! In adding them I now know why they wanted to come early. They are on the same street over on Foster Road, about 4-5 blocks over but across Powell Blvd. Murray just hit me up as the quickie on his way out from home base to his first scheduled appointment giving him tine off toward the end of the day when I was scheduled. I am very happy to have it down earlier so a win for both me and Murray! He left saying they would email me the bill. Nothing yet. Anyway, I give Callahan a 6 of a 5 star rating!!

Outstanding company with a great reputation. Callahan upgraded us to 200 amp service and upgraded the panel in our old Portland home. The city inspector told us that Callahan always does quality work and always passes code. They took care of it all in a day and saved us thousands of dollars. Some companies bid the same job at 2x or 3x the price. Stay away from Mr Electric, Greenbox, Roth. You will get high quality work that fits your budget when you choose Callahan.

We first met Steve Callahan in 2016 when we were having our kitchen completely remodeled down to the studs. Steve and his crew, including Marshall and others, reconfigured all of the wiring to accommodate installments and relocations of new appliances, including a range, exhaust fan, refrigerator and microwave. They also added new tamper-resistant outlets throughout, including one in a new larger island, and also installed new wiring for under cabinet lighting. In addition to the kitchen, they installed wiring for two sump pumps in our crawl space.
This January 3rd, Marshall came out to check on the heavy chandelier in our bedroom, which he and a co-worker had installed in December 2019. It’s still perfect! Every Callahan employee has given us excellent service, with competence and kindness, and you will be very happy you called them!

I have worked with on two separate jobs now. Both crews were extremely helpful and knowledge. Their pricing was better than most quotes, and on both jobs they finished faster than anticipated and helped with some other random side projects. Quality has been superb and Steve was able to work me in within just a few days of calling. Highly recommend

Marshall from Callahan just left our home and I had to write a review immediately. We just purchased a home and had several outlets stop working (old home with old wiring). I had another electrician out last week that couldn't resolve the issue and stated it would be a much bigger and more expensive job.
I decided to get a second opinion and called Callahan. Marshall arrived early, was friendly, professional and resolved the problem within 15 minutes. I will definitely be contacting Callahan again with any future electrical needs. My only wish is that I had called them first. Thank you!

When I knew I needed to update the electrical in my home, I was really worried whether I'd find a company I could trust.
I found Callahan and hoped it would be a good choice, and it absolutely was! Steve Callahan came out and was so clear and kind, I felt a sense of relief after we met. The guys came out, did the work and they too were clear, kind and patient with my questions. The job was done well and quickly.
The guys had to drill a hole in my bathroom wall and broke a tile. Steve Callahan did not hesitate to pay for the fix. It was a small fix, and the integrity Callahan Electric displayed was really impressive.
Lastly, but not least, the cost...EXCELLENT!
An entire new electrical panel, several new outlets, new light outlet and fixture, and grounding of appliances all for just a little over $3000. I felt this was a reasonable price, especially because it came with the peace of mind that I hired the right company.

I am a contractor who has worked with a lot of electricians over the years and I can confidently say that Steve and his team are some of the best that I've ever worked with. They have excellent communication which cuts out a lot of the hassle of scheduling etc. They are trustworthy and will work with you to save money rather than constantly trying to upsell or tack things on. And to top it all off, their prices are competitive and consistent. This level of competence and care is unfortunately rare these days. Sam and Kurt added some outlets in our kitchen and a light fixture above the kitchen sink. They are a great team: timely, friendly, efficient and respectful. They did all the work under 3 hours and was very mindful about doing minimal cutting to our dry wall and ceiling.
Steve is the owner; he provided the initial bid for the work, and he was very professional and organized. Shelly who did the scheduling is a great communicator. Overall, it’s a very organized place you can trust. I’ll be using them for any future projects and recommending them to friends and neighbors.

When we were asking around to replace our electrician who retired, Callahan Electric came highly recommended by more people we talked to than any other. The bid was reasonable, communication was clear, and both the office staff and person on site were friendly and professional. They accommodated our very specific requirements for installing a new induction range, and two other small jobs I'd been putting off and did not cut corners. I'm very happy with the work and this is now our go-to electrician for the foreseeable future.
