Great company, great customer service, great partner.

Not only is Charter willing to go above and beyond when it comes to project completion, they also go out of their way to ensure community members are informed and at ease when it comes to community rehabilitation and upgrades.

As a real estate developer, these are main focuses when it comes to projects. I really enjoyed working with Charter and appreciate their ongoing support to local community efforts and exceptional project results.

Keep up the terrific work Charter!

Charter is a wonderful company and it would be impossible for me to list all of their positive qualities, but here are a few: Communication, site management, subcontractor management, budget conscious and they VE to help us come in under budget.
Great company, I can't recommend enough!

Let me tell you about how much my client felt heard and taken care of by Alicia at Charter Construction! This is a client that has high anxiety and apprehension about dealing with middle of the night leaks. Not only did Alicia put my client at ease, she quickly dispatched out the team to get the leak taken care of. THANK YOU for treating our mutual client so well!

Charter Construction Company is amazing! Organized, coordinated, communicative, clean. I would hire them again.

I had a water leak in my condo. From the minute that Rob Myers, the Charter Project Manager, and his team walked into my unit, I knew I would be in great hands. They were informative, polite, and incredibly empathic to my situation. We had to patiently wait for the HOA insurance policy to kick in (mine was amazing, a shout out to Nationwide) for almost six months. In the meantime, Rob communicated with me while the process was underway. When the project was finally approved, Charter’s team came in and seriously, ‘rescued a damsel in distress’ they recommended a company to move out my things (a shout out to ServiceMaster), and literally went in there and accomplished the mission as soon as possible. They are a family run company and it shows, they’re amiable and always coming in with a positive attitude in the midst of a misfortune. I was mortified, but they helped and coordinated, made new partners in the process (a shout out to Macadam Flooring), literally hand held me through the process, explaining everything and also provided very helpful guidance. I am very thankful to Rob and his team. I would, without reservation, recommend Charter Construction for any job, from small to major. I want to add that this is not the first time I work with Charter, I had a major water leak in 2015 (a different property), and Charter came to the rescue back then as well. Thank you Charter!

Charter was an outstanding contractor partner to work with. Communication was great, stayed withing budget and surfaced ideas to reduce un-needed scope. Work quality was best in class. Cozmo was on to of the project every step of the way.

As an Owner Rep, I used Charter to help resolve $5MM+ of buildings leaks throughout a development that was built incorrectly (long story). Charter was great to work with from start to finish and provided a level of care and professionalism that made a hard project feel easy.

I have been worked with Alicia C. on many projects and couldn't be more pleased. She is great at what she does! Very communicative, knowledgeable, quick to solve problems, and truly dedicated to her clients. She is an absolute pleasure to work with! Highly recommend!

Charter performed an approximate $3M building envelope extensive repairs project on our 26 townhomes in 2024 in Lake Oswego. Their construction staff was excellent as was their coordination with the homewners. The work was preformed timely, on budget, of the expected high quality workmanship, and without any hassles or signficant change order requests. They worked well with our building design consultant. We have nothing but praise for Charter and would recommend them without hesitation to other homeowners associations.

We recently used Charter Construction for a rehabilitation project on a pedestrian bridge at one of our retail centers. They were thorough with their communication during issues with the City permits and kept us informed on the progress all the way until closeout. The bridge turned out beautifully and we're very happy with the results!

For a full year, Charter Construction "lived" in our condominium community as they re-constructed our entire 7 level roof in downtown Portland. From the team leadership to the contracted workmen to the communication team, they were efficient, courteous, safety-conscious, and of course, highly competent in the daily tasks they performed all whilst people lived in their homes, a highrise condominium building. We were SO fortunate they accepted our project!

Charter Construction is currently working at an HOA where I manage the landscaping and Loren and his team has been nothing but great to the crews and myself so we can stay on top of the landscaping services we still need to attend too. Has communicated what area they will be in on what dates so we know where to steer clear! Thanks Loren!

This project was due to water damage thus only some of the moulding needed replacing. The original moulding install was done two years ago and in a high rise which I know added a lot of extra steps for them. The crew installed the new moulding to a perfect match up and the client is very happy with the results! Also, Tim was very helpful in the calendaring of the work and it was done in a very timely manner for me to keep the project going.
    Thank You for the efforts

I have had terrible experiences with live-in construction companies in the past with theft and lack of respect to personal belongings. I met with Ian prior to the removal of the entire wall in my unit and he assured me that the team and contractors would be quick and professional. Checking security cameras throughout the day, I noticed they put extra floor protection down, removed shoes upon entering and did not damage or touch any personal items or attempt to enter doors to my bedroom. I applaud Charter and Ian for the integrity and professional work done. Aside from the cold next few weeks, I do not have any concerns with the work being done inside and on the balcony/patio area over the next few weeks. They are the crew you will want to work on your apartment or home. My ONLY complaint is they left my front door unlocked after working inside.

Over all the team that has worked in my unit has been pretty good, if we have had an issue they fixed it, except for nails and screws in my tires and they give me the runaround for the last 2 weeks about getting them replaced. I have worked with the foreman that is understanding and tries his best to correct it but his PM Dino always wants to put a bandaid on it and call it good.. I’m very frustrated with the upper management of charter and still to this day STILL NOT RESOLVED !!!!!!

Charter construction helped me with a smaller project for my home. I needed one side of my house re-sided and a window installed in a dark room on that same wall.
Dillon came out and was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. As soon as the window came in from the manufacturer, Charter was on the job and finished quickly and as promised. The crew did a nice job. Dillon was available to me for any hiccups along the way and also came out at completion to touch base and inspect. I am very happy with the experience.

We recently did a major masonry project with Charter and were consistently impressed by their professionalism and communication. Amy was particularly helpful and knowledgeable. There were a lot of moving parts, and she made even the larger obstacles and transitions feel seamless.

Charter Construction executed the complex project of re-piping our old condo building by hitting every metric on the nose:
    - excellent project design at most competitive price
    - maintaining timely and responsive communication with the Board and our residents
    - meeting the project schedule even with additional work the Board added during the project
    - returning in-unit finishes to their original, or better, state even after extensively required demolition. The quality of all the work has been outstanding.
    - coming in under budget, even with additional work added by the Board

Work was done while residents occupied their units and the Board heard nothing but high praise from all our owners and residents during this very complex project. Honestly, we can't believe the project went so smoothly given its extent and technical challenges. The HOA Board

I moved into my apartment in Gresham at the end of December. It was under construction when I looked at it but the manager assured me it would be ready in time. The entire building was undergoing a major fix due to improperly sloped decks (not built by charter to my knowledge) and major leaking.
I showed up the morning of my move to find little had been done, the master bedroom was dry walled but not painted and the second bedroom I was planning to use as storage still hadn’t been mudded and taped and textured and the living room had equipment strewn about it. I had movers showing up at my house that had been sold in less than two hours to pack me up and move me here so to say I was stressed would be a a massive understatement. I called the manager and she immediately came to see. She was shocked it wasn’t finished but assured me they would get it done as quickly as possible. So 6 hrs later my movers and I arrived to find little had been done. Everything was piled into the living room and I was left amongst my belongings. I was told by charter that the work would be done by the next day. So I moved as much of my stuff as I could into the second bedroom and the master and shifted what else I could so I could at least sleep on my sofa. It took a week for that work to be finished except for the master bed room which the building maintenance staff came and painted the next Monday. What I didn’t know was that there was also a major leak in the apartment, I noticed there was some wet spots and bubbling in the living room drywall on the day I moved in and pointed it out and the building manager told Charter. A week after I moved in it rained and I had water running down my living room window so I called the manager again, she called charter to see when they were going to coming inspect the issue. It took two more weeks and I had my windows plastic’s off to catch the water. It was another 4 months before they came in to abate the windows but hadn’t been given clearance to abate the other spots where the dry wall had bubbled. That took another 2 months. So finally 6 months after I moved in living with my belongings stacked up in the living room and spare bedroom with only the kitchen and master bed unpacked, I had to move all my furniture and boxes out of the living room and shove them into any space I could so the rest of the living room could be abated. Then I had to wait a week and a half before the drywall was rehung mudded and taped and textured. Now here I sit waiting while the only thing preventing Maintenance from painting and letting me actually unpack is 12 feet of trim… it’s been a week since drywall was done and my hell is still going on.
This has been the worst construction nightmare of my life and has added unbelievable amounts of stress and I would never recommend this company based on their inability to get the work finished. As for their quality… I’ll let you know the next time it rains

If You Want Your Building to Survive the Next Apocalypse, Call Kyle.

You want a contractor who actually shows up? You want siding that doesn’t peel off like sunburned skin after a weekend in Cabo? You want someone who doesn’t make you feel like you’re funding their third vacation home in Maui? Well, look no further than Kyle Knees with Charter Construction.

    Let’s talk about features:
    • Nickel-and-diming: nope
    • “Surprise” change orders: nope
    • Shady sales pitch: nope
    • Transparent proposal, fast turnaround, and siding that laughs in the face of UV rays and rain? Yep.

Let me tell you a story. One day, I looked at my retail building and realized the siding looked like it had just come back from a 40-year war. Water damage, sun damage, probably emotional damage. I called Kyle. He gave me a proposal so fast I thought I accidentally ordered it off Amazon Prime. I approved it, and like a miracle, the siding was replaced, sealed, and finished before I even had time to panic-scroll Pinterest for color inspiration.

This siding will outlive me. It will outlive you. It will outlive your children’s children. Future civilizations will uncover this building and write dissertations about Kyle and his Team’s craftsmanship.

Things this siding is strong enough to do:
    • Survive a Category 5 storm ✅
    • Deflect passive-aggressive customer comments ✅
    • Possibly withstand nuclear winter (not tested, but I feel good about it) ✅

Kyle catered the proposal exactly to what I wanted, didn’t upsell me on nonsense I didn’t need, and still came in at a price that didn’t make me consider selling a kidney. If I ever need more work, I’m calling Kyle before I even call my therapist.

Bottom line: If you want siding that lasts longer than most celebrity marriages, stop scrolling. Call Charter.

Charter Construction is the general contractor for the exterior envelope replacement of 26 homes in our neighborhood. That entailed the removal and new installation of roof, siding, windows, gutters and paint. They have chosen excellent and professional subcontractors. Charter’s onsite lead foreman is great. Very knowledgeable and is very capable of answering questions and concerns of the residents. The office staff are friendly and keep us informed of the status of the project. Overall I/we are very pleased with Charter Construction and recommend them highly.
