Six months ago I decided to cut down an average sized plum tree in my backyard and dig out the stump. Considering i fell the tree myself, I assumed removing the stump would be fairly simple. After spending 11+ hours total over the course of the six months with what seemed to make no difference or progress of removing it - I decided to call Very Good Stump Grinding.

I was extremely impressed with how efficient the team operated. Gaining access to my stump required them to move my fence and they left it perfect after completing the job. Their machines are high quality and the employees were all very professional and respectful. VGSG had the locating service at my house the day after calling so they could get started. From arriving at my house to completing the job took less than 1 hour and i could then finally move on to the next step of my landscape project that I started 6 months ago. I truly wish I had called earlier and put all my time and energy somewhere else besides attempting to remove the stump myself. I highly recommend VGSG to anyone.

I spent $70 on a dull chainsaw from Home Depot that did absolutely nothing to the stump I was attempting to saw into smaller pieces. I almost went back to rent this tiny stump grinder that was undoubtedly going to be a complete bust. I found Bryce online and decided to give him a call. He was friendly, attentive, and punctual. He was able to come out in just a few short days that worked with my schedule. Within 30 minutes he had completed ground the stump into nothingness. This stump was probably about 2.5 feet wide (at the top, larger at the bottom) and about 3 feet into the ground. All of this at a much more affordable price than renting a labor intensive piece of junk from Home Depot. 100% would recommend!!! Save yourself some time and just reach out to Bryce!

Highly recommended. Bryce did an excellent job at a good price. I had a tree stump against my house's foundation in a tight side yard with only 5' of clearance between the house and a fence. He was able to maneuver his smaller stump grinder (which is still quite large) through a tight spot and get the job done. He put up screens to prevent any damage from flying rocks. He was careful to avoid damaging my plants on the way in and out.

Very good stump grinding is one company I would call back anytime for stump removal. Bryce and his crew came out and removed a stump from my yard, they were professional and they removed what I thought was a very large stump in a few hours. I am personally very satisfied with the work they have done.

Bryce was very professional and prompt. His machines are very impressive. He was able to squeeze his largest machine through a 3 foot gate and it made very quick time grinding a large cherry stump and about 20 smaller stumps. He also finished grinding roots out of the front lawn (a job the previous grinder did not include). The large machine was also very precise and able to get the roots that were touching the concrete driveway and sidewalk with no damage! And best of all, he is very reasonably priced!

Bryce was a pleasure to work with. Very responsive to my request for an initial quote with a fair and competitive estimate. His follow up and communication was excellent. Actually even adjusted the price downward when we later changed the scope. He has all the equipment needed for large and small jobs and he and his tech were very skilled and mindful of my property and other landscaping. I highly recommend!!! 5 stars!!!

Totally excellent experience- both Bryce, the owner, and his awesome coworker, sorry I forgot his name, were very thoughtful about not damaging adjacent grass or other trees’ roots. They worked safely, quickly and did an awesome cleanup job. They even used a blower to make sure the area was looking clean and tidy.
Bryce was very responsive in texting when they were coming and when they were leaving.

I had some very large stumps to remove 6 feet across with roots and they went 18 inches below surface. They also cleaned up a 200 foot area in front of my property, delimbing quit a few trees.
These folks wasted no time getting the job done !! Thanks 😊 will be using them again for future prodjects.

I couldn’t be happier with Brice’s work! He was well educated, had the best equipment, and was all about safety and clean worksite. I was tempted to rent a machine from depot myself. After seeing what he did, and how far down he dug, there’s absolutely no way the rental machine would’ve done that, it also would’ve taken me days to do what he did in an hour. He has the big guns!!!!

Bryce and Jack were awesome—total pros and super down-to-earth. The kind of guys you actually want to give your money to. I originally called and they gave me a date that was about two weeks out, but when I asked if there was any chance of getting it done sooner, they got back to me quickly with an earlier spot (which I really appreciated, especially knowing how busy they are).

They showed up early, knocked the stumps out fast, and made the whole thing easy. Great service, great vibes. I’ll 100% be recommending them to friends and definitely using them again!
