Just finished a project with Ross NW Watergardens. I highly recommend them. Ben and the crew were professional and easy to work with. We came to them with some general ideas and areas that needed addressed and they were right in sync with what we needed. Great sense of style.

Ross NW Watergardens completely redid our front and back yards, from design through completion. The design was great, and the execution was quick and painless. They listened carefully to my needs and wants, and gave me a plan that met them while remaining in my budget. All I did was look out my window and watch the magic happen. What a pleasure!

Ben and his team were wonderful to work with. In the design phase, Ben came up with very good starting concepts and listened to us very well in later design versions.

About 1/2 through the process we realized we wanted to switch something in the design and Ben and team were very flexible and presented good solutions, which we really appreciated.

Ben is extremely knowledgeable and helped us out in places that weren’t even on our radar (I missed out on the family green thumb.)
We have a small yard so they were able to come by a few times in a two week period to get the job done. Although our yard is small, they did almost everything (irrigation repairs, fence, sod, removal of weeds, and planting.)
It had only been about a month since we completed the project but I can tell everything was made with the highest quality and will last.
I get compliments from my neighbors whenever they walk by!

I had a large pond with outdated barrel filters that needed updating. I also wanted it made more shallow and easier to care for. Ben came out promptly, discussed options and understood exactly what I wanted. He listened to my wants and as a gardener, I appreciated his flexibility when discussing plants and design. His crew came out promptly and in about 5 days, everything was completed, from re-purposing old rock, to re-laying pavers perfectly spaced and in a pleasing pattern. They were very respectful of existing hardscape and plantings taking care of sidewalks and driveway when unloading materials. I was able to work with them to move plants into other spaces in my yard. The new plants Ben spec'd out for me look perfect. In addition, they were able to update my low voltage lighting. The pond was a bit of an eyesore and now it's easy to maintain and pleasing to look at and sit by. I really wanted my frogs to come back and this past week, they're back in full force! The two mallards that come every spring came back this week too! They didn't seem to mind that the pond was a bit smaller.

We really enjoyed the design discussion with Ben. He pushed us just a little bit to explore some unfamiliar concepts, but was very good about recognizing the general sense of what we were after.

Joe did a great job of explaining the design to the crew, and it was a lot of fun to watch things unfold day by day.

Ephrian was the crew leader and a real artist at placing elements such as large stones. It was obvious that the same attention to cohesive design was shared by Ben, Joe, and Ephrian.

We couldn't be happier with the results!

Ben and his Dad did an excellent job on our property in Lake Oswego. They installed an outstanding 4 zone sprinkler system, they repaired a damaged seawall, and they installed two gravel paths for us. They were reasonably priced, prompt in their service, and extremely knowledgeable about landscaping. I would recommend them to anyone. We had a minor problem with one our sprinklers, and Ben responded immediately. A great company!!

I contacted four different companies for quotes to get my small urban backyard turned into a patio. Two of the companies never bothered to return me a quote. Ben and his team at Ross NW were the fastest to respond and their quote was much more competitive than the other companies.

The work was done in the time frame he promised and I was happy to find that the quoted price was the final price as well. In addition they were able to work their time table around mine nicely and the patio looks beautiful!

Would highly recommend them for any project!

Ben and his team were excellent! We started with just a design and knew immediately that we wanted to continue work with him through installation. Great quality work, fair pricing and amazing communication along the way.

I found Ross NW Watergardens after researching Japanese gardens and deciding to have one installed in our backyard. From the moment that I contacted the company I knew that I had made the right choice. Ben responded to my inquiries very quickly and we arranged a meeting to discuss possibilities. After the initial meeting, Ben sent us a proposal for our consideration. Upon finalizing the plan after our input, a date was set to begin the work. Due to a heavy schedule the actual work began about a month after our target date. The wait was worth it!!
The installation crew led by Efrain was excellent. They were efficient, neat and very talented. Efrain's work on our patio as well as his execution of the garden design was above and beyond our expectations. We are absolutely delighted with the results!

Ben and his team of craftsmen did an outstanding job on our total landscape renovation. The design Ben proposed captured all of our wishes and then some. From the initial meeting with Ben, to the daily interaction with the crew, professionalism was evident. The crew's attention to detail and craftsmanship made the design come to life. Excellent and timely communication. What a contractor should be.

After completing a whole house renovation, we were ready to embark upon a landscape makeover to match our contemporary/Asian themed home. Our mission was to find someone who could design and install landscaping to tie our house and yard together.

After interviewing two other landscape designers, we found our perfect match with Ben Bowen and Ross NW Watergardens. Ben met (and exceeded) our list of desires for our yard, starting with his keen ability to envision what we could not imagine. He quickly saw through the existing, worn-out mish-mash of trees, plants and grass that had been cobbled together over seventy years of planting. After accepting his thorough proposal, which confirmed all that we had discussed, his crew went to work.

Ben did an excellent job of communicating with us from beginning to end. The project came in within budget and was completed in the 3-week timeframe he had promised.

His knowledge of plants, trees, boulders, landscape lighting, irrigation and other landscape details gave us confidence during the undertaking. The quality of all materials used was top notch, including healthy, happy plants, grasses and trees.

Ben was always available when we had questions, and we knew that he had our back should anything go awry. The entire crew at Ross NW Watergardens was knowledgeable, efficient, hard working, and respectful of our space while there.

I hired Ross Watergardens to design and install a Japanese garden around 3 sides of my condo. Ben Bowen was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. He listened with interest to all my ideas and incorporated them wherever they made sense. The design process was a true collaboration. I never felt rushed, even when I needed a few weeks to study up on natives and wildlife friendly plants. Ben always responded within a day or two and got new designs back to me within a week. Once the design was complete, he set a tentative start date and stayed in touch as the date approached, always respectful of my schedule.

The design itself is gorgeous - beyond my expectations. The large stones make me think I'm in a mountain hermitage. And the plants are beautiful, even in their winter colors. I can hardly wait for spring.

The landscape lead, Efrain, arrived with a crew every day between 8 and 9. They had all the necessary equipment, and worked steadily and efficiently until the job was done - ahead of schedule! They cleaned up at the end of every day and especially well on Fridays.

I can't say enough what a pleasure it was to work with Ben and his crew on my garden. Their communication, expertise and professionalism made the project a true delight.

Ben and the entire crew were all amazing to work with from the initial consultation through completion of our project. Ben took the time to carefully explain each element of the design proposal to make sure we understood all the necessary details. We encountered a few delays with the crazy winter snowstorms and some unexpected issues (none of which were the fault of Ross NW Watergardens) and Ben and the team went above and beyond to help us resolve them while keeping open communication throughout the project. The end result was better than we could have expected and we are thrilled with how everything turned out!
