I've used Mike's tree service for removing some large alders from my backyard in SW Portland. They've always been responsive and true to their word. They've done a nice job on everything: taking care of the yard, other plants and cleaning up.

Mikes Pruning and Tree Care has been nothing but a positive experience. His pricing is very fair and the workmanship as been excellent. Mike has communicated throughout the week long project and I can't say enough good things about his team. I hope this is the beginning of a long working relationship.

This is the second time I’ve had Mike & Co prune my trees. Once again: a stellar job! Prompt, attentive, and professional. They took great care to trim and shape my precious large flowering cherry and attend to the maples. They were so good that a neighbor came out and hired them on the spot! Also, I had three bids and they were the best price. Couldn’t be better. Thanks Mike and Team!

Had three trees removed in my parkway, they were ruining my sidewall also had a tree trimmed up. He came out the same day and gave me a quote. Scheduled and work done within the week. His crew was awesome. Took the time to walk me threw the pruning of my tree and made sure it looked esthetically pleasing. Cut down the trees safely, brought a wood chipper to dispose of the trees, thoroughly cleaned up all of the mess. Coming back to grind the stumps when I get the sidewalk fix. Also Very reasonable priced. I highly recommend them for all of your tree needs

I live in a community in Wilsonville. Mike and his company came out and removed three large trees, one bush of notable size and a smaller bush, all from my front yard. Now my house looks a lot larger and more inviting because it was so hidden before. He also took care of all of the stumps. Not only is Mike is a miracle worker, but he is an awesome guy also.

Service was very professional and the employees are respectful and great at communicating the process.. I appreciated them responding as fast as they did to my situation. I will recommend them in the future and continue to use their services when needed

Excellent experience! I Had a massive project. Several huge trees that were encroaching on my home. They brought them to the ground without incident. This company went above and beyond. Very knowledgeable, fair priced, timely removal, full cleanup, easy to work with and out beat competitors on pricing! I highly recommend.

Mike and his crew did a great job limbing a huge evergreen tree as well as removing an invasive Tree of Heaven in my front yard. I had to schedule a couple months out due to it being the busy season for arborists, but he called me a couple weeks later when an earlier date opened up due to a cancellation. His pricing was good too!

Mike was super professional. Came out in person gave us a quote on the soot that seemed reasonable. His team got to us within 2 days and did great work.

Mike and his team were excellent! They removed a dangerous sweet gum from our backyard after we had two very large branches break off near where our children play. Mike’s team worked safely and efficiently. Being in Portland we realized we had to also deal getting a permit in order to remove the tree and Mike’s team helped with that too. Highly recommend Mike’s Pruning and Tree Care! We will be using them again

I have used Mike's Pruning and Tree Care for 13 years, when he was just a one man operation, HIMSELF. From the moment I met him, it was obvious he didn't just trim or cut down trees, but that he is a true arborist, knowing when, how and how much to trip or cut. It has been such a pleasure to watch his company develop into what it is today when there is so much competition.

Mike is your guy! Look no further. You will not be disappointed. He has a great crew that works for him that do a great job, and when they are finished you wouldn't even know they were there except your trees look amazing! Mike GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND to do what it takes to achieve a great result!

Mike and his guys are awesome. Handles permits with the city of Portland very well, responsive and professional. They clean up after themselves and deliver great service. We were referred to Mike by our neighbors and when we have people looking for tree work I always pay it forward and tell them to call Mike. Tree work is never gonna be cheap because its dangerous work that involves expensive equipment and serious skills but Mike is competitive in his bid. If you are looking for a company stop your search because this is the best out there IMO.

Mike gave me a very fair price and with Eddie and his crew did everything I asked and more. They consulted with neighbors, took great care in pruning a major tree, cleared all the brush of roofs and yards and made the result even better than I imagined. 5+ stars.

Best tree removal/trimming company out there! Our Neighbor’s tree fell on to our fence and we reached out to Mike after hours and he was there first thing the next morning to look at it. Had his crew there by mid-day to take care of it and they were done within a few hours. They were friendly, skilled and efficient and did an amazing job with the removal and clean up. We have used Mike to trim trees for us in the past and quotes are always fair and work done quickly!

First--totally professional and reasonably priced. Also, quite possibly the nicest guys to have around doing work on your trees. Interviewed a few and these guys are the best.

I work with a lot of contractors because of the 2 properties that I own, and BY FAR, the crew that works for Chad and Honl Tree Care are some of the best I have worked with. They are efficient, friendly, organized, and above all, they listen to your needs. Their prices are great and if you want a job done right, then Honl Tree Care is simply the best in town.

Fast turn around on the estimate, willing to allow us to change the scope of work, arrived on time, extremely clean, crew was professional and talked us through the process. We have worked with Honl twice now, and will always call them for future work.
