My experience with the team at Smile-a-Mile was outstanding from start to finish. Every member approached the painting process, from the choosing of colors to the extra care to do the best and most careful painting possible, in the most professional way and were a pleasure to deal with .
Everything was clear about the process and my input was honored. Matthew and his team provided just what I was looking for.
I am so pleased with the way my old house looks that see it in a new way. It also gets the approval of the neighbors, who get to see it more than I do! I highly appreciate this company and how they provided everything I was looking for.

*BEWARE* sneaky misconduct by Smile-A-Mile Painting business. They are unethical, despicable, & unprofessional, just a few of their good qualities. Losers kept my deposit money 5 months before shockingly, unexpectedly canceled my painting job, just 1 week before the appointment. Their lame excuse was my house is too far away & they did not have the staff. They refused to reschedule. They knew my house location when they provided an in-person painting quote, 5 months earlier, & then returned a few later to do the paint color match. Luckily I received a full refund of my deposit & avoided legal action by court for breech of contract. After months of seeking a reasonable resolution, executive management at Smile-A-Mile, specifically Chelsea Deitchler, master manipulator tricked me into filing a formal grievance & sending additional photos of my house. She dragged out the process >4 months. End result:  She ignored me & failed to offer a grievance decision or resolution ! I confidently conclude that the toxic culture of apathy rolled down from top management in their WA headquarters to the Salem, OR office. I CANNOT recommend this disgusting company. Don't trust them like I did. I wasted substantial time over several months when I could have searched for an honest company, not easy, as you can see.
Update 4-15-24, only after viewing my Google Review, Smile-A-Mile stated their employee under-bid the job. But no one ever made that assertion until now, over many months wasting my time & no resolution. I still do not recommend this apathetic company. Their unnecessary mishandling this grievance reflects adversely on their customer service. They don't care.

I really like this company and the professionalism they showed on painting my house. The communication was really good if there was an issue, they was able to bring it up to me and was able to resolve it pretty quickly so I think this is a fantastic company to have come paint your house. The only thing I have about the company and this is a lot of places in Oregon as well. When you sign the paperwork there is a tip amount on there. I know we’re not obligated to tip the contractor. It makes me feel like if I don’t then it kinda looks bad, I believe that the worker should be paid enough to do the job without having that tip amount on there and that if the customer wants to tip extra, then they should be able to do that without something on the paperwork. You have to sign when the job is completed.

Smile-A-Mile Painting exceeded our expectations! We have an older home with some odd challenges. They spent the time and effort to fix problems and give the house a long-lasting coat of paint. We highly recommend them - the best house painters we have ever encountered!

I want to give them five stars but the fact is the project manager failed to show up to two scheduled meetings applied. The wrong paint color didn't follow the manufacturer's requirements on caulking and the company has never come back out to complete the job and it's been 3 months. The contract is still open. The job is not complete and I'm going to have to fix what they did wrong. Personally I would go with someone else a smaller company.

Arturo is a very kind and hardworking guy. He and his coworkers did a great job in my house. I’m glad I met Arturo and the company.

Sorry to say ....I wouldn't refer your company to anyone with my experience. Communication w your company was the worst I've experienced. Your guy who did the estimate, very nice but not able to keep his word about cleaning front porch rails which has some con webs a couple spiders.After nearly 3 weeks had gone by only front porch horizontal railings appeared cleaned.....kinda. Dark cob webs present on verticle posts going all the way up all connected to porch railing. The two painters when they arrived about 2 weeks later saw the cobwebs and said they would remove them...and did nicely. They took care to tape all necessary areas before painting. Good job. Your appraiser guy got a hold of me shortly thereafter so I could pay the balance. He never came to meet me at arranged time/day at my house for final payment and never called to say he was going to be late, or if we could meet next day or if was not coming at all. We contacted each other about a week later or so about another payment day/ time. Second
time, no show, no courtesy call/ text to me to let me know he wasn't to make appointed time. Don't understand why your guy who represents your company would not want to be paid. My friend referred me as she gad your cimoany oaint inside her house and she was happy w workers and results a few years ago. This 2 time she was very frustrated w the painters. Not the painters fault as she said the paint job was not made clear to them on paper. My friend won't be using your company nor referring in the future.

Incredible company, Winston is one of the most dedicated and passionate individuals I’ve met. Smile a mile really cares about their customers and have been in the painting game for decades. If you need a professional painting company that really rolls out the red carpet, call these guys!

This is an amazing company, they are known for stunning customer service and do great work- We recommend them as a company and as people. Winston is great management, cares about his clientele and their happiness, the quality of work they produce as well as the community - 5 ⭐️’s all around!

The painting crew did top notch quality work with big attention to details. Our Crew leader was Arturo his communication, leadership skills and work ethic was like no other contractor I have ever dealt with. Arturo and his team were so respectful of our property and did not get a drop of paint where it was not suppose to be and the cleanup was spotless. We literally had not one single do over or problem.
Thank you for making driving up to my house a pleasure everyday, I love my house thanks to Smile A Mile Painting.

Smile a mile painters were a great team of hard workers! Arturo, Juan, and Luis were detail oriented, pleasant, and professional. I very much appreciated Arturo checking to make sure of satisfaction with the progress each day. Corrections were needed and thoughtfully executed. Communication with home office could be improved. However, I do recommend this company with ease and gratitude.

Absolutely horrible experience dealing with this company. We had damage to our home due to negligence and after promises to make it right, I’ve now been forced to start the complaint process with the CCB, have had to get our attorney involved, and the front desk has been advised to only take messages from me. I was very understanding of the situation and was more than willing to work with them, but they have made it clear that this is not a priority to them as I am not receiving any follow up. I understand that stuff happens, but the lack of concern has turned this experience from wonderful to absolutely terrible!

I never reached out to Smile-A-Mile for service on my home. However one of their pressure washers came and washed my house. He had the wrong address. I came home extremely confused as to why the paint on my house was destroyed. They didn't leave a note and never reached out to me. They have still never reached out to me. I found out through my neighbors that Smile-A-Mile was the company that was at my house that day. When I called them it took two days to get a response. They immediately admitted to knowing about the situation and said they would have one of their estimators come and assess the situation at my house. I was hopeful this small mishap would be resolved. However after the estimator came out I never heard back from them. It's now been more than a month and several conversations later and they continue to lie about getting me answers and have not even offered a solution. I have been extremely disappointed by their complete lack of communication and desire to fix their mistakes. They have been very unprofessional and I would not recommend using their service in any capacity.

Arturo and the boys did a fantastic job! Not only offering a competitive price, but also having a faster timeframe. Other company's were booked for 2-3 months out. Arturo had us scheduled for about 1 and a half week out!

Not only were they reliably fast, but they had unbeatable pricing!

I had my 3800 sq ft home painted on the outside about two years ago by them and I had a few places where the old paint let loose so I called them to redo those spots under the two year warranted. They did that and I was happy with the work. While they were here I had them quote to do a inside bathroom that had mold starting in the corners. I though it was reasonable so I had them do it while they were here. I was also happy with that work.

Just wrapped a job on my home with Smile a Mile Painting-Salem and couldn’t be more happy/pleased! They did an outstanding job, and are truly, very kind, and respectful, begging to end in the process. I highly recommend them

The paint crew did a fantastic job, and came back quickly to remedy a few issues that you’d expect with any two story, three color paint job. I will certainly recommend this company to others!
