My parents used to love coming here, but stopped after multiple bad experiences with an older woman (60s-70s?) with short hair (possibly the owner?) I was surprised to hear this, because we've always had excellent customer service here, especially from the younger woman (30s-40s?). The younger woman has gone above and beyond to help us, and the plants we've purchased over the years have been wonderful and lasted years and years, making them worth the higher sticker price. Well, we went in today and experienced the older woman for the first time as she checked us out. OOF! She's unnecessarily curt and incredibly unkind. As if us spending $300+ of our hard-earned dollars on shrubs was an inconvenience or burden to her. Quite surprising, really. What's she so mad about? Maybe it's time to retire. We will be back because I love the nursery, we'll just try to arrange it so we come when she's not there. She should stick to the plants and leave the people-ing to the other staff.

Great selection of plants, trees, fruit trees, containers, and they carry pond supplies. Great service. Very calming vibe. They have a mini beer garden and a food truck outside.

The selection is fantastic and the staff is very knowledgeable. The plants are always strong and healthy. When I've needed certain types of vegetables and they're not yet in stock because I like to plant early, they always call me as soon as the plants are available. Great customer service!

My sister and I recently discovered this nursery and absolutely love it you can come and sip on a cider and a beer and stroll through the many house plants and outdoor plants and ponds and sculptures it's absolutely amazing!

Beautiful nursery with lots of plants and gardening options. Prices are about average for the area. Staff is very helpful.

The plants and flowers they have are beautiful. I get some lovely flower arrangements there every year.

This place is so amazing!!! My aunt and uncle live in S Salem and I'm in Portland. We wanted to do something special for them and Clare was so helpful with orchestrating the delivery AND the choice of plants and card for the family. I called today looking for a 4 "ceramic Christmas tree as I had bought one there a few weeks. Phone rang about 8 times and I figured they were busy so I hung up.
No sooner had I put my phone I got a call back from them.
Said they hadn't got to their phone in time and wanted to know if they could help me now.!
What!! I was so surprised they had taken the time to call me back. And to top it off the lady even went to 2 different places in their gift shop to make sure they had 2 and she put them behind the counter with my name on them.
Kudos to them for great customer service and I'll see them tomorrow!!

Good old Guentners....wife and I, enjoy good stroll throught the garden. stopping at the bar/lounge for beer/cidar, as my wife is searching for just the right plant or plants (Grrr888 selections and prices). Also, if you time it..... just right, a band might be playing in the back ground.... enjoy ur time wisely!

If you like plants this is your place, if you like wine this is your place if you like beer this is your place, you can bring your kids shops for plants 🪴 and have fun all in the same place this is your place.... Excellent customer services with a lot of knowledge about plants and trees. The little Hawaiin bar is the best secret in town... you need to try, Salem is lucky to have you 💝

Beautiful place. I’ve been here a few times, but came back on a day there was live music and it was absolutely lovely. Spoke with the owner a bit - she’s really cool and so so knowledgeable. Great music, beautiful space… and a shaded beer garden area to boot. It was a great visit. Highly recommend - especially if the band is playing. Nice people, great environment.

Guentner’s Nursery is a long standing go-to spot for plants in the Salem area! Their variety is great and displays organized. What my daughters love is all the dinosaur statues scattered throughout the site. My wife is on a new house plant kick and they have a good supply of those and home decor items too.

Went to the hospital was there for hours this is what I seen Every hard workers .when it come to ur foreman Antonio lazy sitting in his truck .he must get paid by salary for all the owners know he could go home half day and they wouldn’t know.its vary troublesome when u see things like this.I hope the owner looks into this so he’s not token advantage of.

Sloppy service, below second rate. The job only looked complete from a very long distance. Additionally the employee I had the misfortune of interacting with buried my car in snow and refused to give his name as he rolled up the window and flipped me off.
Incompetent in addition to being exceedingly rude.

Contacted on 23rd of February and was told that husband wouldn't be able to look at place for an estimate until the following Monday and that I would be getting a call from him. I received no call from husband and called back on March the 4th wondering why no call yet; no one answered so left a message. I never received a call back, so tried calling again today March 7th, still no answer so left another message. Called again to see if anyone would answer and finally got ahold of Denise. She didn't have an answer as to why her husband hasn't been out to look at the place, she said she gave him my info and to call me. She said that she isn't sure when he will get to make it out because he's really busy. I am baffled at how they run their business! Very hard to get ahold of and don't return calls, and can't give you a time when they can come out!? Not a place I would like to do business with so I told her I would find someone else!

Jose and his helper did a fantastic job on my yard, front, back and side. He was on time and did exactly what we discussed. I hired him to maintain my yard twice a month and feel he will continue to do a good job!
