Reviews of local pros in Springfield, Oregon

Had work done by "From the ground up" on our winter home in Hawaii. Awesome work and reasonable prices, would recommend them to anyone who is looking for any type of construction work. I just need to figure out how to lure them back to Hawaii.

From the Ground Up Construction re-roofed our home, which required significant rebuilding due to dry rot. Their specialized knowledge determined that the original design of the roof did not have adequate ventilation and drainage due to the slope of the roof. They completely rebuilt and redesigned the roof and added specialized venting and drainage channels. They have also remodeled our adjacent shop. The work crew were knowledgeable, courteous and hard working, they got the job done in record time and the results were spectacular. I will use them for any of my future projects. I HIGHLY recommend them for all of your construction needs!

Reliable and beautiful craftsmanship! Any of your construction needs, they are able to do. Will definitely use them again.

I bought a house built in 1970 this past spring and needed to do a full remodel on it before my family moved in. I am not a contractor, so I wanted someone who had ideas and experience to make my dream home come true. I spent hours on Google reviews and Angie's List looking for contractors to interview. I ended up interviewing 6 contractors at my new house. These contractors ranged from a single man operation to a very large local builder. The remodel was going to consist of building a new master bathroom, pantry, and laundry room. The kitchen was basically going to be gutted, lots of tile work, new doors, all new trim, rock in a brick fireplace, and new floors would be put in throughout the house. The remodel was a daunting task and extremely intimidating. I found From the Ground Up Construction by reading Google reviews. Allen and Dori, the owners and contractors, were extremely responsive and came out to the house right away to share ideas and take measurements. Their bid was delivered a short time later and was extremely competitive. They were so genuine and easy to talk to. Their experience in the building industry was obvious and their ideas showed that. I hired Allen and Dori and I am glad that I did. The remodel took over two months and cost over $80,000. It was a large project because it involved many moving parts from subcontractors, schedules, permits, inspections, etc. Allen and Dori were punctual, worked extremely hard and thorough, honest, trustworthy, and completed the work in a timely manner. Allen and Dori went far above and beyond what I asked of them. Our relationship with them was not an employee/contractor, but they were like family. There is really not enough space here for me to list all of those details, but my family is so grateful for their work. If you need any project done, you would be doing yourself a huge favor by bringing them out for a bid. I cannot recommend them enough.

We had a half bath that really needed an update. Ground Up delivered even more than I hoped. They found that there was rot and mold in the flooring which they didn’t expect and removed it all. I appreciated all the advice tips and the finished product is fabulous. A hard working husband and wife team and so meticulous in their work. I highly recommend them for any home improvements project.

Very good skills and knowledge of the construction. Very reliable and honest.

Juan did an absolutely beautiful job on our kitchen floor. He showed up on time, started and completed the job in the timeframe specified and was courteous, kind and respectful. He had good suggestions to save time and money. He was very knowledgeable and skilled in his tasks. He went above and beyond by making a handmade, custom threshold to match the floor which is strikingly gorgeous. Thank you Juan! I will call him again.

Very professional. No issues noted.

Outstanding in his field, or concrete slab...

RGS Contracting provides top notch carpentry and concrete work! I highly recommend using their services for your next project!

Robert has an innate ability for design. He did our addition and an exterior update. Thrilled with the final results.

Robert and his crew are extremely skilled and detailed in their work. He is a pleasure to work with and provides some of the highest quality craftsmanship in the Willamette Valley. Would recommend to anyone!

obert went above and beyond for our project challenge that no other contractor was wiling to take on. The spec: On a steep hillside, design and build two massive concrete retaining walls; level the area between to make useable patio space; concrete stairs on a parallel slope; and concrete walkways.  Robert consulted with us every step of the way, meshing our design ideas with his know-how and expertise working with concrete in the PNW, specifically the Willamette Valley.  Despite numerous additional project complexities/rabbit holes (for example, encountering 30-40 feet of granite rock), Robert persevered, always presenting a measured solution set and resulting in a finished product that is as aesthetically pleasing as it is structurally sound.  Robert's work ethic is unparalleled and we feel very fortunate to have found a concrete artisan with his knowledge base and a pleasure to work with all around.

Robert did a full foundation replacement of my house during the "great winter of 2016-17" The site was an absolute muddy mess compounded by non stop rain, snow, a very restricted crawl space and several other hurdles. He had everything working against him and stuck it out to the very end and completed the project on time and on budget. Looking forward to working with him again soon!

I am so happy with Robert and his team at RGS Contracting. They did an amazing job on my back deck and the concrete work on the patio. I feel like I have a work of art in my back yard! Robert can really taken it to the next level! That kind of quality work is really hard to find!

We had Robert, the owner of RGS Contracting, repair our foundation. Robert was timely and professional. Robert went above and beyond what we contracted him to do. We were thrilled with the workmanship and could not have asked for more. We would hire Robert again if we needed additional work without hesitation. We highly recommended RGS Contracting.

We hired RGS Contracting to build us a new bar and displays for our retail establishment. Not only did they create a bar with a better than imagined style for us, with intricate storage tailored to our needs, but the concrete top was finished to perfection and basically blew our minds. They should also get an honorable mention for coming to the rescue on some other build-out needs we had that another contractor was failing us on. Their attention to detail when crafting and installing the wood wall facade and the flooring fixes they provided us were way better than we had envisioned or expected in a rescue mission like we had.
If at all possible, I will always use RGS Contrating for my remodel or new construction needs.

Robert and his crew did an excellent job on reconstructing our entire bathroom. His integrity and honesty about the job were primary selling points. Then he walked us through every the details of what was needed before starting, then discussed the progress during the job. He and his crew worked thoroughly and quickly. I highly recommend RGS Contracting!
