It is our pleasure to write this review for Artistic Landscapes (AL). We had been contemplating turning our backyard space into an outdoor basketball court with an accompanying area for turf for our son and dog to have an additional area to play. However, our backyard sits on a slope and has limitations to the space as we have no backyard access due to green space that backs up to our property. We consulted with many companies over a period of several months and received various bids. However, Artistic Landscapes had worked with several homes in our neighborhood and prior to accepting one of our bids, we decided to reach out them to get their perspective on what the space could be.

I will start by stating that we are extremely happy we went with AL and felt very confident from the first moment that we met Robert that this company would be the right choice. As many reviewers have spoken to, working with Robert himself is one of the most appreciated parts of our experience. He has a sense of warmth and compassion for his customers, and works hard to understand their needs, desires, and ultimately their vision for the space. Our project was difficult due to the space issues, but it was evident that Robert wanted not only to make the vision work, but to deliver a high-quality well-designed product. He was a joy to work with, a great listener, and it was amazing to watch ultimately the collaborative vision unfold over 5 weeks as he interpreted what our wants were through his own artistic style.

Additionally, we were so grateful for his crew, led by the foreman Bonaficio. We were told at the onset that AL had never done a basketball court before ours. And despite this, his crew worked tirelessly for 5 weeks to execute our vision and you could see daily that they were genuinely invested and excited over the time spent to see it all come together. The court was a surprise gift for our son’s birthday and the crew even went to great lengths to keep our son from know what was coming in our backyard and took part of unveiling it to him on his birthday. Those types of personal touches, you cannot get with just anyone or any company.

It goes without saying that the project itself turned out amazingly and we couldn’t be happier. Seeing this space transform in our yard for our family is a memory we will always treasure, and Robert, Bonaficio, their crew and Artistic Landscapes are the ones who facilitated this memory for us. Thank you so much, Robert.

We had seen the work done by Artistic landscape while going for a walk in the Tigard area during the summer. We wanted a new fence and Pergola put in in our own yard and felt that the work we had seen was exactly what we wanted. After meeting with Robert, we decided to move ahead and could not be more thrilled that we did. The fence around our entire acre, as well as the Pergola, we done within our timeframe. The craftsmanship that went into each project was exceptional! I can not say enough about Andrew's crew for the pergola and Bonafasio's crew on the fence. Each came on time, worked diligently to get the work done in a timely manner. and left the workspace spotless when all was said and done. The end product for each, far exceeded our expectations. We will always consider Artistic landscape first when looking at additional projects. Thank you Robert and crews for the amazing work!!

We're extremely happy with our new yard - we started with absolutely nothing with a lot of needs needing to be met in a small space. Robert came with amazing ideas and problem solved our drainage issues and gave us space for our family to grow into. The thing that sets apart Robert's work from other is he really thinks about it in terms of beauty, not just hardscaping or uniform design.

This is my second time working with Artistic Landscapes. Robert arrived on time for our appointment. He is personable, creative and trustworthy. I described what I thought should happen in my backyard and he gave me ideas that took it over the top. His crews arrived on time everyday and did not have to be watched over to make sure they were doing things correctly. I went to work everyday and his crews did a great job. Any concerns I had, which were nearly nil, Robert addressed promptly or reassured me he had thought of the concern before I did. I would hire this company again in a heartbeat.

Fantastic group! Robert and his foreman Sergio are a dream to work with! Friendly and professional, and we got a great value! My retaining wall looks beautiful, and we got a lovely new fence and lawn with it for a wonderful price. Would definitely work with them for every outdoor project

We used Artistic again for another big project. New back lawn! Robert, Sergio and all their crew is awesome. So friendly. On time. Clean up work area at the end of each day. Don’t hesitate to hire. Artistic knows what they are doing.

They demoed the deck and old patio and walkway, including a slab under the deck. Then created 2 new patios out of pavers and a new walkway. Removed an old water feature that didn't look good and put in a new beautiful water feature. Removed all the old plants and put in all new plants and boulders to provide a lot of color and texture all year long. They also removed the existing sprinkler system and installed a new drip system so we can walk through while it's running and not get soaked. They contracted out some stump grinding for old trees that were removed and some electrical work to have 2 additional lamp posts installed. Also installed a completely new beautiful fence all the way around.

They did a fantastic job! It looks much better than we ever imagined. When we first started we wanted to cut costs so we were only going to have about half done. Then things transpired in a way that we needed to go ahead and get the entire project done. They continued on with the additional work and finished the project. They were punctual and very communicative throughout the entire project. His guys, Sergio and Andre, did the bulk of the work and they were a pleasure to work with. Sergio was always willing to stop what he was doing to answer my questions or take my suggestions on something I wanted a specific way. It was a bit on the expensive side but the whole thing overall was a fantastic experience and we are extremely happy with the final result.

Wow just wow!! Robert and his crews are amazing. Blew our expectations out of the park. They did 4 days back to back of fixing our old sprinkler system, adding a new timer so the water runs at the correct times, a major major clean up, new bark, new pea gravel, two new pathways, 6 new beautiful boulders, adding over 30 new gorgeous plants, leveling gravel so a gate would open, trimming back pesky vines, seeding and fertilizing our lawn, pressure washing and more!!! I met with 5 contractors before Robert. Only Robert and one other even got back to us with a quote. I knew after meeting Robert for the 1st time that we would go with him. The cost is worth it. He is experienced, kind and just has “it”. He has the vision. We have now signed up for weekly maintenance with him. See our before and after photos. You will definitely be able to tell which ones are after! 😂

Robert installed my sprinkler system 10 years ago when we first bought the house. Planting since then resulted in a need for a re-do which was done recently by Sergio who was excellent. Adjustments were made, some sprinklers were added and some removed and Sergio explained everything, etc. They've also done paver and porch work for me before and I've always been happy with the results.

Robert and his team exceeded our expectations. Robert’s vision, passion, and insights in transforming our space was exactly what we needed, and completely complemented our own ideas. It had been 18 years since we “recreated” our landscaping and the team nailed the brief! Additionally, Robert’s team has been remarkable - both during the onsite work, but also as they’ve assumed complete, on-going maintenance. We contracted Artistic Landscapes to help remove roots that were growing underneath (and x-raying through) our back yard turf. They not only took care of the problem but actually went 'above & beyond' actually leaving our property aesthetically BETTER that it was before the project started. Expectations exceeded.

Robert & his team absolutely exceeded our expectations. We communicated our vision, and he completely nailed it and then some! They did a full renovation of our front yard, installing a dry-creek bed design that is stunning and will add so much value to the home from the curb appeal alone. The materials (rock, boulders, plant selections) are all top-notch and have passersby stopping to stare. It turned our home into the nicest one on the block. Robert stayed within budget and was regularly on-site himself, and his crew was very friendly, worked extremely hard, and took extra care to clean up each day. We highly recommend this company!!!

My wife and I recently built a new home near Newberg and we hired Robert and Sarah, the owners of Artistic Landscapes to handle the yard. The scope of work was considerable from our perspective; it included multiple retaining walls, 22 irrigation zones, hundreds of trees, shrubs and small plantings, steep slopes, two paver stone patios, lighting, steps, pathways, lawns, and a water feature near the front door. The work was done over several months, and we couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome. We knew we were in good hands from the very beginning. Robert and Sarah’s vision for transforming our property was innovative and practical, giving us exactly what we had hoped for. Their work is exceptional. Every detail was artistic, thoughtfully designed, and executed with such skill that it feels like a mix of home and vacation when we arrive home.

Robert is extremely passionate about his work and helped us make some design decisions for our backyard. With his suggestions, our yard ended up looking better than we imagined! Robert communicated with us every step of the way, checked in on the project's progress, and made sure we were included in all the decisions.

The crew is incredibly skilled and efficient! Our project was a bit tricky and required a lot of demolition and prep. The crew did the work entirely by hand and made significant progress each day. They were very diligent in cleaning up the work areas every day and were very detailed in all their work. We are extremely satisfied with the quality of their work!

We needed our rotting railroad tie retaining wall, a shared fence, our gate, and part of the neighbors' front yard fence replaced.

Artistic Landscapes was great to work with. Robert explained everything in detail when he came out to provide the bid, we were kept informed throughout the process, and Robert was quick to respond to text questions. They were even able to start the job early.

Jeve and his crew did a fantastic job with the demo of the old wall and fencing, building the new block retaining wall, and setting new fence posts. The old retaining wall ran right up to the property line with the fence attached to it. Because we were replacing it with block, the new shared fence would have to run either behind the retaining wall or in front of it. We had the new fence built on the property line, so the new wall was set slightly back from that with enough room that we can easily take care of any weeds that may grow between the fence and wall.

Bonafacio and his crew did a beautiful job. The fence posts that our gate and the neighbors' gate attach to are 6 x 6 posts instead of 4 x 4 posts for added stability. He also installed our gate so it would open wider than the old one.

Both crews kept the work site extremely clean. The only noise we heard from them was construction noise so they were very work-from-home friendly.

Robert did a final inspection of both the work and job site cleanup after the work was finished and gave us information on how to care for the new fence and retaining wall.

I would not hesitate to use Artistic Landscapes again.

We are thrilled with the landscape design and installation work completed by Artistic Landscapes. Robert helped us plan a beautiful layout, choose the right plants, and create an outdoor space we can enjoy. The work crew was organized, communicative, and detail oriented. They left the work site clean every day and were very respectful of our home. We are so happy with the final result and would gladly hire them again for future landscaping projects.

Artistic Landscapes finished our entire property this summer - there wasn’t an area untouched. From our initial meeting, I could tell Robert was passionate about his craft, very knowledgeable and trustworthy. I let him know basically what I wanted but I let Robert, Sergio and his crew take the reign on design and functionality on what they thought would look best. And let me tell you…we are BLOWN AWAY. In this case you get what you pay for. High quality work, big clean trucks, hard workers, crew lined up their equipment neatly, and they clean up the property daily before leaving. Robert custom selected plants and trees with taste, design, and what would flourish in each spot…plus took into consideration what we like. Even random neighbors noticed and mentioned how organized the crew was and impressed by their huge equipment!

We LOVE our landscape/outdoor living and grateful to Robert, Sergio and the crew on making this vision we don’t think possible, come to life.

If I could give a negative 100 I would... Ive called this person about 2 or 3 times and have never gotten a call back! Just rude...

I would recommend this company to any of my friends and family. Great customer service. Mark was very knowledgeable and very customer service oriented.

He shows up on time, professional, quality, and gives it to you STRAIGHT! No BS, he will tell you what is real and you decide. Highly recommend.
