Bryan was very helpful during estimation process and answered all my questions and gave me some useful tips. The scheduling was easy and the new insulation was added one week after. They also hoped with the forms from the energy trust so my discount is applied. Great work overall!!!

Brought NW Weatherization in to inspect and diagnose an issue another vendor had noticed, and I am happy I did! The inspection agent was SUPER informative, told be what my issues were, provided estimates with rebates and tax credit estimates. Additionally, he recommended an order of attack for getting everything done on my time schedule to help with my budgeting. On the day of service, they showed up an entire hour early and finished work early. Can't beat this level of service from my experiences in PDX so far. Thank you!

Great interaction from start to finish. My initial consultation quickly identified the problem (I thought it would be, "oh, your insulation is old and/or crappy", but it was actually, "you have no insulation anywhere but under the floor"). They helped set me up to get sweet rebates from EnergyStar that almost paid for half the job and, within a day, two crews had insulated both my attic and all of my exterior walls. It was less than a week from first call to sitting in a toasty living room writing a review.

The two crews knocked all the work out in a bit over half a day and were super considerate, laying down plastic on the floor and letting me know when they were done. The outside was cleaned up nearly immaculately. When I heard they were drilling a bunch of holes in the outside of my house I was a little worried I admit, but besides a few slightly-worse-for-wear cedar shingles you can't tell anything happened at all from the outside. A few spots inside got insulation bits on them from the spraying: the dryer duct and a few outlets that had openings for running wires through. One loosely-attached phone-cable jack I've never used was pushed out by insulation foam but it was a thirty second repair, and it's not the itchy stuff they used to use it was easy to clean up.

If you're considering having this done... I have been fighting my house's temperature since I bought it three years ago. It was built in the 50s and this is the only thing that's ever really annoyed me about it. First I got a mini-split system, and during summer it just overpowers the outside temperature and it's amazing, but the heat can't keep up with even mild winters. There was a notable draft throughout the house and unless the heat was blowing on you it felt kind of cold.

As this work was being done, I could feel the difference, and now my heat is barely even blowing and my entire house is warm. If you have an old, drafty house call these guys immediately!

We had blown in insulation added throughout our attic. They also sealed ceiling penetrationsm and submitted our rebate request to the Energy Trust for us. Great estimator, crew and office people. Competitive price. Professional, clean, on-time. I would highly recommend this company.

They were friendly, covered our floor with plastic to ensure cleanliness and showed up at our scheduled appointment time. The company went a step further and helped submit our Oregon Energy Trust rebate form which saved me time. Would highly recommend this local, family-owned business.

I was able to get quickly scheduled for some much needed additional attic insulation and the team was able to get the job done fast and clean. Excellent experience! NW Insulation responded quickly to my request, sent an employee to assess and measure and provided a quote the same day. They even included the Federal tax credit info. On the day of installation, the crew showed up early and completed more quickly than planned. They were very conscientious and, except for a few tufts of pink insulation, I couldn’t even tell they had been there.

NW Weatherization re-insulated our crawlspace. The guys did a great job. They were careful about not making a mess and they cleaned up after the job was done. The floor is much warmer now.

I am very appreciated of the great work they did on my attic insulation. I had them quote back in April or May and it looked very good (what/how they would do it and the cost) but I had to finish some things on my end for the attic to get ready for it. I added more ventilation through the soffits and improved some vents for the stove and bathrooms (the salesman Ryan recommended this to me which I appreciated). I also finished up some electrical cables and drain vents in the attic which were just things I needed to get ready or improve. I did have to ask a few questions while I was getting things done (which took about 3 months because I'm doing lots of other work on our house) but the salesman (Ryan) always gave me good replies/feedback. Just to confirm, it was my work that took a long time for it to get ready. They were always available in a week or two and when I finally got done they were ready less than two weeks. I was hoping it would be good for the workers and they did a very quick and awesome job. Since they did so well there is a good chance that I will have them add some insulation into our walls. I talked to Ryan about this and it definitely looks like it will be another good and very cost-effective improvement for our house. Thank you Northwest Weatherization!

The crews were on time for our project and worked professionally to complete it on schedule as promised. Great guys to work with, they protected furnishings and floors and cleaned up well before leaving. To top it all off, the staff also helped with the paperwork to send in for weatherization credits. Could not be happier with our choice of Northwest Weatherization to take care of our project.

I was willing to go with Northwest Weatherization on the strength of their reputation and reviews, even though they cost more than another company I was considering. But they completely dropped the ball on my efforts to find out whether they could truly insulate my 110-year-old frame home. After coming to my home twice -- once to give an initial estimate, the second time to look what was beneath the original siding (nothing but studs, it turned out) -- they were supposed to let me know whether they could do the job, and if the price would change. They never got back to me despite several text and phone call messages to Justin, the technician for the company. So I went with the other company. Disappointed at the poor customer service.

Selecting Northwest Weatherization for our project was the right choice for us. They provided a quick response to our request for a bid and scheduled a site visit the same week. Their bid was competitive - actually there was virtually no difference between any of the three firms that bid. We chose them over competitors because of the excellent communication, honest appraisal of our options and what R level our house would benefit the most from and their great reviews. The work was completed in half the time they allotted. They were super careful to not track anything in/out of the house while accessing the crawlspace. They cleaned up as if they had never been here. Highly recommend them!

Had our crawlspace, attic, and ductwork done for our condo. The quote process was fast and easy. Ryan was great to work with, and answered all of our questions with confidence and tailored things to fit our needs. Customer service was responsive and clear communicators. Was able to book the work for less than a week after the quote, and the work was done quickly and as of now, looks to be quality work.

Only thing stopping me from giving five stars was that even though they laid down protection for our floors in the areas they were walking in, we ended up with a film of dirt/debris over most of our home from whatever might have blown it all around while the crawlspace was getting done. Had to do three rounds of vacuuming and mopping to feel like the place was clean again.

They took care of the rebate process, waiting for that check to come in the next few weeks.

He made a follow up inspection of the completed job. The crews were competent and cleaned up all work areas. We will recommend NW to our friends and neighbors should they have the need.
