Electrical reviews in Glenside, Pennsylvania

Timely service performed in a highly professional, friendly, and efficient manner.

This review is not intended to cover actual work performed as the bid was not accepted. However, please be advised that their quote was one of six that we had solicited. Unfortunately the quote was clearly an outlier to all the others that were within a couple of thousand dollars, as the quote from Stahl was 60% higher.

Stahl electric removed knob and tube wiring from our house. Luis and his crew were timely, communicative, clean and efficient. We are thrilled with the work and recommend them whole heartedly

Stahl recently completed a three-week major rewiring project in our home. I was happily surprised by every aspect of our experience: the fair and competitive pricing, the crew’s excellent workmanship, how clean, quiet and considerate they were, and how non-disruptive this project was for me (I work in my home). The unavoidable damage to walls for such an extensive rewiring project was minimal—so much less than I expected! Stahl’s lead guy on the job, Mike along with his crew, did a great job of patching those tiny holes so all we need to do now is repaint those small areas.

Stahl found and fixed problems that our prior (well-regarded) electrician didn't understand. They also identified code compliance issues that likewise the other firm didn't find. Because Stahl’s pricing is reasonable, we were able to add to our project. We installed new recessed lighting in our living room, had the crew rewire old ceiling fixtures (saving us the cost of buying new fixtures), and switched the fluorescent lights in our finished basement over to LED.

I recommend Stahl Electric for major rewiring projects without hesitation.

We needed electrical work done on our front porch when we bought an electric sun shade. The job was done perfectly with extremely professional and congenial electricians. Stahl has come inside recently to deal with a broken transformer. We can not say enough about care and attention we received. We have our new electricians and we are clearly pleased about that.

We just completed the remediation of Knob and Tube wiring for our 1920's era home. As an architect, I care very much for the both the execution of the installation as well as the experience of having the mechanics in my home for several weeks. I could not be more pleased with both. The team was professional in their execution and respectful of my home and possessions. The lead, Mike, was a very good communicator, explaining and/or confirming the work throughout the duration of the project. I am pleased to be able give them a very positive recommendation. Thank you Ira!

As a mechanical contractor we started on a heating boiler repair for client, we found uncontrolled, dangerous & unsupresed electrical voltage present on metallic water lines & also on metallic natural gas fuel lines. Immediately we turned off Natural gas into building & disabled electricity. Stahl Electrical was contacted. Within one hour Stahl electric arrived & corrected this dangerous problem. This problem was propagated by previous homeowners doing unlicensed electrical work themselves. Many thanks for Stahl electrical response.

We recently moved to a new house that required a complete re-wire. Louis and his team did a great job throughout our home. They demonstrated strong attention to detail and always left their work area cleaner than they found it. We felt very at ease with the team in our house even when we were not at home. Most notably, Louis always took time to inquire how we would be using each area of our house so he could place switches and dimmers in the optimum configuration for our needs

Great experience with Stahl - replaced most of the lighting fixtures in our house as well as added outlets and ethernet wiring to each floor for fabulous wifi throughout our 3-story house, basement, and back patio. Easy process and friendly professional crew. Thank you Gary, Mike, David and Kelly!

We love these guys. Their estimate was incredibly thorough and was presented in a menu format so that we could select the tasks we wanted done (or not). The team they sent out was a wonderful mixture of seasoned pros, advanced apprentice, and new apprentice - I always love supporting those who are learning new trades so this is a huge positive for me. The team was conversational, polite, cleaned as they worked, obviously trustworthy, etc. What's more, they are local and family owned. Outstanding experience. If we have any additional needs over the coming years, we will definitely call Stahl again and we recommend them without hesitation!

My wife and I live in a 100-year old 3- story house in Northwest Philadelphia. The house has a stone exterior and inside bearing walls.
We have been using Stahl since we moved into the house in 1998 years ago (24 years), and they did an enormous amount of work updating our entire electrical system which had not had a major upgrade in at least 30 years. Since then, We have called on Stahl for many, many different kinds jobs. Every Stahl electrician who has worked in our home has been efficient, competent, courteous, and effective. As we have aged, we asked them to install an intercom system so we don't have to go downstairs every time someone rings our one of our doorbells. Each floor has a monitor by which we can see and talk with the visitor, and then go downstairs only if we need to. This was a medium sized job. It amazed us that the men worked with such sustained intensity, energy, and productivity, while treating us with courtesy and good humor and being patient and clear when we needed to understand something or make a decision. This most recent job is what inspired us to write this review. The office staff is friendly and efficient and reliable to work with. Richard and Alice

Easily the most professional and competent contractor I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with. With how difficult it is to find a decent contractor these days, they were a breath of fresh air and I plan to use them for all electrical work going forward.

From estimate to completion, they were timely, fairly priced, knowledgeable, and they cleaned up better than any company I’ve ever seen.

I recently used Stahl Electric again to swap out an outdoor light fixture. Mike suggested that I put it on a timer switch and also noticed my motion senser light and offered to swap out the motion senser portion of the light. He told me I wasn't obligated to go with his recommendations, and he wasn't trying to be a salesman, but I love his initiative and these were great recommendations. I've used Stahl Electric lots of times, and they never disappoint. Thank you, Mike, and thank you Stahl Electric!

We’re very happy with Stahl Electric. The office staff is great at communicating and timely in scheduling. The service people that come out are very knowledgeable, polite and efficient. This is the 1st time that we used their service. We would not hesitate to use them in the future.

I had Stahl Electric do a 200 Amp panel upgrade and install a charger outlet in my garage. Very professional and courteous. A really good team and great work at a fair price. Appreciate it very much.

Just outstanding work!

The project included adding a new outlet, repairing an existing outlet, and replacing two more at my elderly mother's home. The goal was to make her kitchen area much more convenient for cooking, but also safe. Stahl's Alex and Austin exceeded my expectation! The work was neat, clean, and done faster than anticipated.

They handled two more tasks that were not on the original invoice. Alex fixed my mother's doorbell/chime. She was so surprised and overjoyed that we both ran to the porch to thank him. Austin removed and then cleaned a light that was over her stairs! Once again, she was tickled.

These guys were quiet and there was no clean up for us, after they left. They were also personable and professional. I even think that the final cost was fair for the amount of work. I highly recommend Stahl Electric.

I had Stahl Electric install an EV charger for me which also included running a new line to the garage. They completed everything on time and at the quoted price. The original charger itself was faulty, and Stahl Electric came back to install the new one when I received it at no additional cost. Great customer service, and I will definitely use them again for any future electrical needs.

Stahl Electric is the best electrician in the area! I recommend them to my real estate clients because they are the only electricians I’ll let work on my home. I’ve had inspectors look at their work and every time they say, “that’s exactly how it should be done”. I don’t want to wonder if my electrician is doing a good job!!! Everyone there is fantastic. Kudos this time to Gary Machewski for helping a client evaluate a home they are buying. He was detailed and thorough and gave my client reliable info they needed to make a good decision. Thank you

Stahl was excellent. We were anxious about dropping a large sum to rewire all the knob and tube in our 1909 home. We were also excited after 20 years of living in our house to finally be able to upgrade the lighting in every room with our main goal being to highlight the art, rather than to have to buy many fixtures and interesting lighting. Gary and Mike understood what we were trying to do and were eager to help. Stahl was up front from the very beginning and predicted exactly how long it would take, which was five whole weeks, yes that's a really long time to live with electricians in your house during the summer with kids at home from school and two parents working remotely . However, given these circumstances Mike and his crew were extremely professional, polite, clear about exactly what they were going to be doing each day, and where. They cleaned up after themselves each day and always checked in about what was needed and what their plan was. Their professionalism was truly Top Notch. Their results are beyond what we had imagined and their work has made such a positive impact in our home and lives.
This project was planned to exacting and excellent standards.
Mike and crew are awesome and Stahl is a fantastic company to work with.

Long and John the electricians that Stahl sent were outstanding! Courteous, very neat, arrived before scheduled time. Highly recommend Stahl. Every employee (including Kelly in the office) were professional/polite. We will always use Stahl because they stand behind their quality work (rare these days)

Entire house rewiring- if you are like me your stomach just went sour. This was a job that started looming over us and our days were getting numbered. We've been customers of Stahl for at least 15 yrs and we had many things fixed & installed, so I had every confidence when I asked for an estimate. Did I shop around? Absolutely not! Did I get concerned looks from family? Yes... But as the Visa commercials say, my confidence and trust in Stahl is priceless. From Kelly's organization, timely communication and scheduling, to Gary's time, kindness and guidance during the estimate, to Alex's friendly, relaxed but expert assessment, to the final 'installation'' my expectations were exceeded.

Louis and Eric get their own paragraph! The professionalism, knowledge, honesty, respect and collaboration they showed me was outstanding and heartwarming to me. Our dog Hermes, looked forward to seeing his buddies every day and the love they showed him was really sweet.

I dreaded this job, but Louis and Eric are magicians!! How do you install 5 recessed lights in my living room with no extra holes to be touched up?? Throughout the entire house the minimal amount of damage was done to walls and ceilings. They moved furniture and you name it to get to each outlet and light. They put it all back and cleaned up after themselves.

I know there were some other team members who helped see this job through,
and I'm thankful to you as well.

I will be forever grateful to Stahl for making such a difficult project as low stress as possible!!!!
