I am not one to post reviews online, but I felt a need in this case to provide an accurate representation of what you can expect
from this company.

I called Shannon Staley and Sons for a very basic remodel of a kitchen and small bathroom. I had numerous issues in terms of scheduling
and the quality of work completed throughout the process. I was told by one of the workers that they estimated that the total project should have been completed in around 2 weeks worth of work. Certainly scheduling constraints and things like ordering of appliances and things of that nature can extend that time frame, but in this case the project actually took roughly 6 months due to the company scheduling sporadically around their convenience. The only thing that was prompt in my experience was being invoiced at the scheduled intervals.

I was invoiced twice for the final payment while there were still problems, some of which I opted to pay out of pocket to have a competent plumber correct after I realized that I should not have Shannon Staley and Sons do any more work in order to minimize the chance that anything else was done incorrectly.

I would strongly recommend avoiding this company, for your renovation needs at least, which is what my experience was limited to. There is little attention to detail and they are willing to bill a customer for completed work without checking that their own work is completely adequately.

Shannon Staley and Sons has earned my trust through their strong communication skills and their approach to running their business with strong values. Often I am asked to provide a recommendation for construction services and I provide Shannon Staley and Sons as the solution with confidence.

I have been working with Shannon Staley and Sons for about 7 months now. They are very professional. I like the follow up and feed back that I get for costs on some of my construction projects. I have recommended them to two different people, and both seem to like them also.

I have been dealing with this company since October to have a dishwasher installed, it is now January 14th. Their managers who they send to do an estimate do NOT know what they are talking about. According to the work crew my project was improperly bid twice because the manager cannot communicate properly. Clearly they need to be sending out the guys who are actually assigned to do the project to price it because management does not know what they are doing.
It has been over a week and I have not heard from anyone on when or how they will be refunding the $500 deposit I paid them. Look elsewhere if you need work done!

2/12/25 Update: I did get my refund after having to contact them again but I stand by everything else in this review.

Shannon Staley completed a flooring project at my home and I couldn't be happier with the job they did. Ben and Cameron were the guys on site, they provided excellent service and quality work. The whole Shannon Staley teams is well deserving of this five star review.

I used Shannon Staley and Sons for bathroom renovations, plumbing and electrical upgrades to an 85 year old home. There were a few hiccups and delays, but the project was completed in a quality manner and on budget. Reached out to SS&S about an estimate on an attic renovation. After sending pictures and talking on the phone a few times, I set up an appointment. A couple days before the appointment, the project manager told me it would cost $200, just for the estimate. I canceled the appointment. If I'm going to pay money to receive an estimate, this should be clearly stated upfront, not divulged a day before the appointment.

When we first spoke with SS&S to get a bid on our project, I was sure this would be a 5 star review. Unfortunately, as soon as we signed the contract, we became cash in their pockets and deprioritized. The “project manager” completely failed to communicate with us during the project - we had to ask to set up weekly meetings to stay informed with progress or lack there of. The best example of this failure to manage the project was being told we needed a different microwave (one that could recirculate air rather than require ventilation) the day it was being installed - over a month after it was delivered, and three months after he himself had approved the appliance purchase. This was just one example of the lack of care/responsibility SSS showed during the renovation. Not to mention the times the crew left doors unlocked and lights on in our house. Due to the oversight and management required in our end, this renovation became a second job for me and my husband. Such a shame that they didn’t live up to the values and standards they set in our intro calls.

The team at Shannon Staley and Sons was professional, timely, and did a great job with the beam replacement project I needed done quickly.

Shannon Staley does a great job with finding special craftsman to fit your job scope. My husband and I put together ideas for our buildings and the SSS team help make those visions a reality. We are thankful to have met many of them through the years and certainly look forward to more renovation opportunities together.

Very pleased with the work that was completed using Shannon Staley and Sons. My project felt complicated to me because inside and outside demo and restoration was involved. SSS was a referral to me and I thank everyone involved.

SSS is a solid company. They did a large chunk of my home remodel including ceilings and floors. Very helpful along the entire process with a straightforward approach. They were willing to help me with my home despite some complicated details, working through any hiccups that arose. Everyone I met over the several months they spent working on my house was polite, helpful, respectful, and friendly. Great people; definitely would recommend!
