They did an outstanding job repairing our ceiling drywall and painting. Regis and his son, Eric, were professional, friendly and care about the work they do and their customers. I highly recommend them!

Had Duckstein do a ceiling fix and carpet fix resulting from a leak in a pipe while I was away. Got back to a real mess. Cary and Mark were assigned the job and they did amazing work. Both were very professional and the job they completed was excellent. They patched a big hole in the basement ceiling and matched it very nicely. Painting was well done and carpet was cleaned and pulled tight. I highly recommend Duckstein and Mark and Corey as well!

Regis and Eric did a wonderful job. We came in contact with Duckstein through our insurance company after water damage in our home. All of the Duckstein teams that we worked with were helpful and responsive. When doing the restoration work, Regis and Eric were very competent, communicative, efficient, professional and friendly. The work they did was truly excellent.

I had an insurance claim for water damage in my bathroom & in my dining room. Duckstein is local for me in McKees Rocks so I contacted them for the repairs. They did an excellent job!

We wanted to write a review on Duckstein Restoration because of the great service and professionalism in restoring our home after a pipe burst in our master bathroom. Regis and his son Eric were our contractors and we couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. They were always on time, very careful with our furniture and property, cleaned up every day, and worked very hard. Both are extremely knowledgeable and talented in many facets of restoration work. They kept us updated on the progress and let us know what would be done the next day. We converted the bathtub to a walk-in shower. When a couple issues came up, they addressed them and used their carpentry skills to give us a beautiful shower! We are happy to now be part of the Duckstein family!!

We had an undetected long time water leak from the dishwasher. Two kitchen cabinets and the hard wood floor was damaged. Duckstein Damage Restoration did the repair work. The crew consisted of Cary and Mark. They were professional, resourceful, fast and kept the area as clean as possible with the type of work they were doing. There were no surprises the work execution was organized and well thought out.
The result is a nicely redone kitchen and very happy homeowners.

We were extremely lucky to be assigned Regis and Eric, a father and son team, to replace 800 square feet of water damaged engineered hardwood in our home. They are a terrific team, kind and respectful, extremely neat, and very conscientious. They arrived promptly every day, and worked hard with few, if any, breaks. They did everything in their power to keep inconvenience and disruption to our home life to a minimum. They took the initiative and went above and beyond to insure a job well done! We highly recommend them for your job, ask for Eric and Regis, you wont be disappointed!!!

Well worth the wait. Cary and Mike did a phenomenal job restoring our family room (drywall, paint, and flooring) after a roof leak this winter. Super professional, quick, and efficient. Really nice guys as well. Just take a look at the before and after pics.

We were very impressed with everyone involved in our project. From remediation to planning, to the crew who came on site to do the work, every team was phenomenal. The guys who worked at our house were fantastic - conscientious, professional, and incredibly respectful of our home. They left everything spotless, and we’re truly some of the best workers we have ever had here.

In December 2022, I was a victim of the -40 windchill day… Multiple pipe bursts, total nightmare.

My HOI company Erie Insurance recommended Duckstein Contracting so I took their word for it, and hired them to lead the charge on flood mitigation, repair, flooring, drywall, painting, and other project needs. In short, they did a fantastic job, and I can’t recommend the folks at Duckstein highly enough.

Darin was a fantastic project manager and I appreciated his candor throughout the process. I felt as if he had my back, and throughout my first ever home insurance claim, this was huge. He made the process go smoothly and ensured I was supported when communicating w/ insurance company.

Eric was on the ball regarding materials purchase and coordinated my flooring order among other materials in a timely manner. New floors look great!

The mitigation team was swift and thorough - I’ve never seen such intense commercial equipment (dehumidifiers, blowers, etc) and their timely response was important to minimizing damage spreading.

And finally - the crew team lead by Scooter and Mark was top notch. They were an absolute pleasure to work with, learned a lot from those guys, and they’re true professionals at what they do. They’re the type of folks to the job right - and go out of their way to fix something if they see it’s not done properly. I appreciated their attention to detail.

I would highly recommend Duckstein Restoration. After significant water damage issues, Duckstein took care of all mitigation and repairs. Every step in the process was communicated clearly, professionally done and completed as planned. The team of Regis and Eric did a great job. They were punctual, professional, friendly, detail oriented and very skilled craftsmen. I am very happy with all of the repair work completed.

I wish there were more than 5 stars! Duckstein not only restored a multiple unit structure that burned down, but they also successfully communicated with five different homeowners, their respective insurance companies, and an HOA throughout the process! Each unit had a different level of damage, including some that needed 100% rebuilt. They demonstrated an enormous amount of patience and consistently picked up the phone throughout the many months of our endless questions and concerns. I can't imagine how complicated it must have been on their end, but they managed to streamline the process so we as the homeowners could focus on getting back to normal life again. My kitchen ceiling was ruined by a broken drain. The crew came in and did the restoration. They made sure everything was dried so no mold would develope. They repaired the ceiling and repainted the walls even hung a new boarder. You would never know anything happened. The guys that worked on the ceiling were so professional and efficient. This is (unfortunately for our home) the second time we have had the pleasure of dealing with Duckstein.

Here’s the authentic truth: I’ve been in the public service industry as a Leader for over 25 years. There isn’t a company I would hire quicker than Duckstein for any associated need they provide. From the top down, this team is special. From a father and Son and long term employee coming out on a damn Sunday to help us out, to the guys that came today to do some more work, every single one of the employees at Duckstein from the operations Manager John Scarpino on down are of the highest quality.

John even gave some advice to my 15 year old who is at Steel Center and wants to get into the trade, even telling him to give Duckstein a call when he’s of age to see about a internship.

Being treated fairly, with care and like a neighbor is very important to me. It’s what I try to do in my business. John, and the team I have worked with now on two occasions from Duckstein, do that. I liked them so much I grabbed cards and am referring them to my company.

Duckstein came recommended to me by Erie insurance to repair my house after some plumbing repairs. I have lived in Pittsburgh my whole life and cannot say I have heard of Duckstein before, but the interactions from start to finish were easy, professional, and friendly. They coordinated the work through phone and/or email. I was given a range of when the work would be done, and reminders and updated schedules when the time rolled around that I was on the schedule. They did a full pre-plan estimate of the work, including small details around how they finish certain parts and how and when they would paint.

The crew they sent, Regis and Eric, were great. They showed up on time, explained everything they were going to do, closed in the work areas with plastic, and gave me a realistic timeframe for how long they would be there. The repair work was done really well, and done thinking forward (extra screws, etc) so it won't crack as the house ages more. I picked the paints and they used exactly what I wanted where I wanted it — even replacing it once when the wrong color was used. They kept the dust from drywalling as minimal as possible and worked with me to work around my family while they did the work. A small ceramic piece was broken moving furniture, and I was told immediately and compensated to replace it. They were on time, prepared, did a professional job from start to finish, and cleaned up before leaving. And in casual conversation they gave me tips on maintenance I can do to keep my old Pittsburgh house in good shape.

I was very happy with the service during and afterwards. I felt very comfortable with them in my house at all times. The final results were beyond my expectation.

I was put in contact with Duckstein through my insurance company after some water damage to my home required a hole to be cut into my kitchen ceiling, and the tile floor of my upstairs bathroom needed to be removed. Duckstein was assigned for the rebuild, and I am incredibly happy with the results. The good news started when I was told that the team of Eric & Regis could begin working sooner than expected. Throughout the whole process, Eric & Regis were very accomodating, courteous, and consummate professionals. They showed me their progress every step of the way and explained why they were taking each step. They gave me a lot of tips and advice for future home maintenance which I sincerely appreciate as a new first time homeowner. The new tile in the bathroom look beautiful, and the repaired kitchen ceiling looks as good as new! You'd never know there was a big hole cut into it just a week ago. I hope duckstein knows what a valuable asset they have with Eric & Regis. They are absolute pros at what they do, and genuinely good people.

The staff is very quick to return your call, answer questions and get you scheduled if need. Unfortunately, I needed them. Craig promised his team would be there at 8a. They next morning they called and asked if they could come a little early. I was so happy that they could start earlier than scheduled. The two guys showed up which were very professional. They confirmed the work that was to be done. They did what needed to be done. They cleaned up and said they'd be back to pick up the machines on Monday at 3:30p.

From the start, they took the time to listen carefully to what we wanted and offered helpful guidance along the way. Their work did more than restore our kitchen. It truly improved it. The quality and attention to detail really stood out.

They were always prompt, professional, and very respectful of our home. They kept the work area clean and did everything they could to minimize disruption to our daily routine. They were also incredibly kind and patient with our three dogs, which meant a lot to us.

We feel lucky that Regis and Eric were the team assigned to us. They turned a stressful situation into a positive experience, and we would absolutely recommend them and Duckstein Restoration to anyone who needs this type of work.

We hired Duckstein Contracting in April 2024 after a water leak damaged our kitchen. The demolition crew did an excellent job and worked efficiently. Unfortunately, the experience drastically declined once the rebuild began.

The rebuild started at the end of June, and issues quickly piled up. Our hardwood floors had to be reinstalled three separate times due to poor workmanship. The entryway and bathroom tile also had to be removed and redone three times because of improper installation. A section of drywall took nearly two months to finish, and the crew never taped off rooms—dust and debris spread through the house, including the entire second floor, covering everything.

We dealt with multiple plumbing mistakes as well. The dishwasher was not hooked up correctly, causing soapy water to leak onto our brand-new flooring, and the refrigerator water line was never connected. They eventually had to rip open drywall again to re-plumb what should have been done correctly the first time. On top of that, our front door—less than a year old—was damaged when a worker used construction materials to open it, requiring insurance involvement.

After months of two workers in our home with ongoing issues and repeated fixes, we finally had to stop the project because it was getting out of hand. The only positive experience we had was with the father-son team who installed our kitchen cabinetry—they did quality work and were professional.

Aside from them, I would advise others to be extremely cautious before hiring this company. Our experience was overwhelmingly stressful and disappointing. The photos were how they were planning on leaving our house. They did end up completing the project.
