Miller plumbing and heating 1st installed my furnace. It was the weekend of the bad freeze when limbs were falling down all over the place . It was time for a new furnace And they installed it Within 2 days. They are very professional polite And very knowledgeable about what they do. They came and put in my air conditioning unit And it only took them a little over 6 hours. They went around and checked my vents before they left and repaired 2 of them. I will continue to use Miller plumbing and heating . They are the best! Thank you so much.

When my water heater suddenly stopped working I called and, to my surprise, they said they were just finishing a job and came right over. I truly appreciated the honesty and professionalism. My water heater was 9 years old but I was not pushed to replace it. The technician was able to restart it and would have left it at that, but because I wasn’t pushed and felt that he was being fair, I elected to get a new one since he was already in my home.
This kind of honesty without the pushy hard sell is truly appreciated! Thank you!

Eric was incredibly helpful, and knowledgeable. He came within an hour of the initial phone call, diagnosed the problem and gave us our options. Eric returned to install the new waterheater shortly thereafter. My wife and I are extremely pleased and highly recommend Miller Plumbing .

The repair work was done quickly and completely cleaned afterwards. Excellent instructions on how to use and care for our new boiler/water heater. We were without heat due the failure of our old system and they brought us space heaters so we could stay warm until the repairs were done. Will happily use Miller for maintenance of our new system and any future work

I contacted Miller Plumbing on a Saturday due to issues with my hot water tank. They responded within the hour and explained the issue to me, and replaced my tank soon after. Allen and the owner completed the project and were both extremely courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. I will definitely be contacting them in the future for any issues.

We had a pipe leaking in our wall and into the basement. We called someone from one of the chain companies only to have our plumbing issue turn into an electrical issue as well once that plumber got here. The other plumber wanted nothing to do with the job once electricity was involved and left. We were left trying to find someone else to come look at our issue. After doing some googling we found Miller Plumbing Heating and Cooling. I called and in less than 2 hours a tec came out, saw the issue, talked to us about our options, and how much it was going to cost. 2 days later everything was fixed. Everyone involved was efficient and professional. I feel a lot better knowing this leak was taken care of properly and we shouldn’t have any future issues with it. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing work done, and we’ll be using them for any of our future needs.

Looking to replace a 30 plus year old boiler in my 90 year old house. Called places and got 3 quotes. Went with Miller because they were very responsive and seemed like they offered a better system and components. Very professional and knowledgeable team. I liked that the quote came from a technical person who worked on the install vs a sales person that I would probably never see again.

Old boiler and hot water installation was a mess. Eric and his crew replaced with a new Navien combi boiler and domestic hot water heater. It’s a wall mounted unit that not only is going to save me a bunch of money on gas and electric bills, but it is super quite, keeps the house at a perfect temp without the cold and hot peaks of the old unit, and unlimited hot water on demand. Added bonus picked up a ton of storage space! And it looks fantastic!

Might have been able to save a couple of bucks with one of the other quotes, but I believe I ended up with a better quality system and components that will save significantly on my energy bills.

I highly recommend Miller Plumbing and I am happy with myself for choosing them! Thanks!

I called to get a quote on a straightforward toilet replacement. They did not give me a quote over the phone but said they would do so after inspecting the site and going over the "hundreds of options" at various levels of quality to help me decide on a toilet. Great, I thought - sounds like these folks were doing their due diligence. Most plumbing companies I'd been calling needed me to either get the toilet myself or only had a few models that they could use.

When the technician called later that day, I asked explicitly that this would simply be a house call to give me a quote and that there would be no charge or fee for anything. It was verbally confirmed to me that this would just be a quote and there would be no fee.

Considering this is Pittsburgh, I suppose I wasn't surprised at all when the gentleman came the next morning, spent a few seconds looking at the malfunctioning toilet, and then asked me to sign a sheet charging a trip visit of $39. I refused based on my previous conversation with the same individual. He politely apologized for the miscommunication. He spoke to his boss who said he had to leave which was fine - he was never here to do work. He communicated that the toilet install would otherwise be almost $900 (!) (I think before the price of the toilet but I am no longer 100% sure). I thanked him and he left.

Edit: Response to owner: Owner did not ask about the rough in or the toilet options I had already selected, otherwise I would have relayed that the rough-in was 12 in. No trip fee was mentioned otherwise I would never have moved forward. As mentioned above I clarified explicitly once the trip schedule was made. I am very disappointed overall with the prices and their communication ability especially when compared to their competitors, but everyone was polite through the whole process and they were able to respond and get someone out quickly - hence 2 stars. I am happy they have been in business for a long time.

The installation by Allen and Josh went smoothly. They went over and above my expectations. The price I paid was exactly what was quoted, no surprises. Everything was explained to me regarding operation and maintenance of my tankless water heater. They cleaned up thoroughly and left no mess. I highly recommend Miller Plumbing and heating.

Our indirect hot water tank (connected to a boiler) sprang a leak. We got a few estimates, but Eric Miller was by far the most knowledgeable person and his estimate was in line with others. We are very happy with the work that he did and will hire him again.
Eric was very responsive. He returned my initial call within a short time and happened to be in our neighborhood, so stopped by to do the estimate within 10 minutes. He evaluated our entire system and took time to explain his recommendations (all of which checked out in our research). His recommendations were not just to sell us stuff, and included recommending a simple switch of water filter type on the line going into the boiler and hot water tank – filters he picked up and charged us cost for ($10) while he was getting other supplies.
His crews were booked for several weeks, but because we had no hot water, he came out and did the install himself a few days later. He did excellent work, cleaned up the space when he was done and explained the new tank and its features thoroughly. Eric takes great pride in his work, holds himself to a high standard and is an educator – all of which we benefit from in high quality workmanship and a better understanding of our HVAC system.

We are very satisfied with our service from Eric Miller and his team. Eric provided several quotes on different heat pump / furnace system replacement options and worked with us to decide on a great option for our house. He communicated well throughout the process, worked well with us on timing and scheduling, and performed highly professional work, with no hidden fees/charges despite some unusually difficult trenching/exterior work. Highly recommend!

The water tank in two of our bathrooms needed repair because of loss of water due to mechanical problems. A person from Miller Plumbing came to take a look at the toilette tanks. He proceed to tell me that he was going to charge me $39.00 for the visit and also said something to the effect that it would cost me $379.00 to fix the bathrooms. I guess it was my misunderstanding but even the price quoted was quite steep to fix the leaking problems in the tanks. Furthermore, he said that he would be returning soon to fix the issues with the toilettes. In fact, he came the next day in the morning. To my surprise, once he was finished with the job, he proceeded to bill me for another $727.00 on top of the deposit of $100 that I had paid him the previous day. I assume that the fixtures that he bought to replace the ones that are in the bathroom could not have been much higher than $50. That means that I paid about $750 for Miller Plumbing for less than an hour's time of one of its employees. That's the time he took to fix the plumbing. I told the person the the price was outrageous but he told me that is the price to fix a bathroom, 379 for each, plus $39 for the visit and the rest for the fixtures that were provided. Highway robbery to say the least. If you are looking to fix anything in your bathroom keep away from Miller Plumbing. I could have bought two new toilette bowls and have them installed for the price that I paid to fix some minor plumbing issues. I tried to put a stop payment on the check but it was too late to do so. If I could give less than a star to Miller Plumbing I would gladly give it to them.

I can’t recommend Miller Plumbing Heating Cooling & Electric highly enough. I needed an entire new HVAC system, as well as some plumbing repairs. Eric provided several options and thoroughly explained the pros and cons of each so I could make an educated decision. He and his crew spent several very long days at my home and did not stop working until everything had been done perfectly. On top of everything else, the guys were an absolute pleasure to have around! My new system is state of the art. It’s working beautifully and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience.

Called a professional plumber because I ran out of options for me to try. Little did I know they just wanted to randomly change parts as well. No troubleshooting to find my water squealing issue. Tech said he flicked my pressure tank with his thumb and it didn’t make the ting noise so it is bad. Never checked air pressure or to see if diaphragm was broken. Said I should change that. Then if that doesn’t work change out the regulator. Honestly, I could have done that much. Quoted me $275 to change out a $60 pressure tank and wasn’t even sure that was the problem. Save your $50 service call and change out parts yourself.
Update: in case millers actually looks at this. It was the backflow prevention valve causing the issue. Stay away from this company.

Josh, from Miller plumbing, a very nice, thoughtful and well versed at his job, came to my house, told me what the problem was with my heater, fixed it in ample time and thanked him.
It was during the cold spell we had in January.
I will continue to call and use Miller Plumbing, Heating and Cooling.

    Thank you Miller.

Just had a tankless hot water heater installed by Alan and Josh. Spectacular work. I trust Miller H/P and have for 20 years. The work, expertise and recommendations are top notch. They’ve done a lot of work and repairs for me over the years and I wouldn’t use anyone else.

Very grateful they came same day for a back up I had in my main stack. They are two minutes from my house yet charged me $39 for a travel fee..but it seems other plumbing services do this or charge a "diagnostic" fee so it is what it is. Gentleman was polite and on time. They recommended installing a clean out on the stack which ended up costing me 500 plus the snake was an additional couple hundred. The only thing I wasn't happy with was the fact that he used old used white pvc piping for the replacement.. but he was quick and efficient it. One weird thing is that he went into my laundry area where my hot water tank and furnace are and left Miller stickers all over. He had no reason to go in there. Those were my only complaints. If you need someone quick these are the guys, but proceed with caution.
