The furnace in our home met it's final demise during subzero temperatures this winter (2014) leaving us with a home you could see your breath in when you walked through. We didn't know who to call but found Miller Plumbing Heating and Cooling's information on our old furnace. It was truly risky business calling a company (for such a major issue) without doing any research beforehand or knowing their reputation. Within an hour of calling an employee was dispatched to our home. A significant amount of time was taken to try and diagnose the problem and come to a resolution without needing a full replacement. In the end, with reluctance by the tech we were informed the best decision was a replacement. It is not often you find a company working for you and trying to mitigate costs of services. A new furnace would be installed in our home within the next 24 hours. The following day (by bad fortune) the thermostat they also replaced was acting funny. Again we called and within an hour someone was sent to our home and the thermostat was replaced. The service that was provided to us goes above and beyond what we expected. The staff was knowledgeable enough to address issues for us outside of just our furnace to be sure the new one functioned safely and properly. They stayed until they were sure that we could sleep comfortably that night. A lot can be said for a knowledgeable and friendly staff but not enough is said when it comes to the character of individuals hired by a company. They were thoughtful and considerate in our home. They understood our hesitation on such a big purchase on a whim and made sure they provided us with the information to make the right decision for our home. Enough thanks can't be given to the team that helped us get warm so quickly. Truly they are a standout company we won't hesitate to use in the future!

Miller did an awesome job. They came in on time, performed clean work, and at a fair cost. The owner came for the work and was very thorough in explaining the system (boiler) and how it works. I was told this would be a two day job but he got my heat up and running on the first day (which was a blessing since it's winter.) I'd highly recommend this company to anyone.

I required a standard fluidmaster replacement for a first floor toilet. Miller quoted a flat $39 fee for making the call. This is reasonable. Upon arrival and assessing the situation i was quoted a flat fee for the fluidmater replacement of $339! I immediately told the plumber that I would pay his $39 call money and that he should leave as the price was completely outrageous for what was being repaired. Upon hearing this he suggested that it would actually be cheaper and would improve the value of my house if I upgraded my toilet. The cost of toilet replacement not including the toilet itself was about $425. At that point i said I was not interested and at that point he quoted a new price to repair the toilet at $195 because he wanted a satisfied customer! I agreed to the new charge but the experience left me feeling like I was taken for a ride. The sale tactics of this firm straddle the line if not step over basic ethical business practices. I would think very hard about using Miller plumbing for any repair or replacement needs to your home or business.

Millers Plumbing Heating Cooling was at my home today. He had his mask on the entire time he was here. He fixed my plumbing issue in a timely manner. He was very polite, knowledgeable, and addressed all of my questions. He explained what he did so I could tell my husband.
If your looking for a trustworthy company. Look no further you found the answer. Its Miller Plumbing Heating Cooling Electric.
Use them. You'll thank me later. -
Per Murphy's Law my AC quit during the hottest days of the summer. Started a conversation with Miller Plumbing Heating and Cooling on Sunday morning - Monday we decided to replace the furnace - I had cold air flowing through my vents late Tuesday afternoon. Installers were corteous and respectful, and cleaned up after themselves very well - in fact nothing was left out of place. Thank you to everyone at Miller for getting us taking care of promptly and professionally.

Stay away from this company. We originally booked an appointment with this company for the middle of the week. On the day of the appointment the technician called and asked to delay the appointment till Friday. On Friday morning the technician called and quoted us a price that was $150 more than what was originally quoted. They charge $100 extra for a recording of the sewer line inspection. That was not communicated upfront. When I called to ask the owner about this he was defensive and claimed that we were on a recorded line, which was never mentioned earlier. In total they wanted to charge $340 for a sewer line inspection. Stay away from this company. I’m going to Greater Pittsburgh Plumbing where I got the same service, minus the unprofessionalism, for $99.

Our water heater sprung a leak on a weekend. Millers got someone out right away to take a look. He fixed ya up same day so we could again at least have a cold water supply. He cane out the very next day and put in a new tankless water heater.
On time, courteous, and cleaned up after. Explained everything in detail and took a look at another issue we were having while they were here. -
Got taken for a ride for an evaluation of my AC during a heat wave. After checking the readings (PSI, super heat, sub-cooling) and hosing off my outdoor unit, I was charged $325 for that 15 minutes of evaluation. After which I was told the coils/line-kit were faulty on installation and that I needed a full replacement of my 9 year old unit.
Multiple opinions later, turns out my equipment was just fine and should last for years to come. I wish I never called. -
Asked for a quote to switch from an old tank water heater to something more efficient, got the callback the next day and the in-person visit at my earliest convenience. We went over my options and discussed how the installation would go, all of my questions and concerns were answered, and I decided to move forward with the installation of a tankless heater. The installation was slated for later in the week, and the crew arrived right on schedule, installed the new tankless unit quickly and efficiently, and did a really nice job of it too. It costed a bit more than I would have liked, but between the prompt service, the high-quality unit, and the top-notch installation, I couldn't be happier. Definitely going on my to-call list next time I need work done!

This company came out and did a camera "inspection". Their camera didn't work for more than 10 seconds and couldn't record any video. They looked down one drain as best they could and refused to look down any others without coming back out and charging another trip fee. Then they quoted me an outrageous price to replace the house trap. The price didn't even include removing the concrete or replacing it. All he wanted to do for the price was cut out the old stuff and glue some new pipe in. They said this was a bargain because I really needed 20-30k worth of work and asked when I wanted to schedule it. I had the same work quoted from 3 other places at a fraction of the cost.

I’ve been using Miller Plumbing for 15+ years. They’ve don’t work at both of my houses. Always a great experience. Everyone is professional and works hard to resolve the issue at hand. I’ve had them under my house thawing a frozen stack pipe to under my kitchen sink snaking a drain. They also installed new furnaces, hot water tanks, and humiditifers. All to the level of my satisfaction. I won’t use anyone else.

I had a high end water heater and furnace installed by Miller. I paid nearly ten grand between the two. Their service was good as far as installation, however each year its always a hassle to schedule service. This year, I can't at all. They don't answer phones or check their website. I have been calling since November 1st. One time, someone called me back, told me they were very busy this year, and made a promise that even if they were late in servicing my equipment, they would still honor my warrantee in the future. Nothing in writing. That will be a promise easily ignored five years from now. Also, the bulk of the warrantee is honored by the manufacturer, I doubt they will allow me the same exception. Now, less than two years after installing a water heater and probably less than five since the furnace, their coverage will expire. I know this has been a busy year for Miller, but being unresponsive 20% of the year, in the winter when you really need them, is unethical. If you're going to take on the customers, you need to hire the staff.

We had an old hot water tank start to leak on a Friday. I had been thinking about a tankless system but reviews indicated they could run into issues heating enough water during the cold winter months. I saw Navien didn't seem to have the negative reviews. On a Saturday morning I sent out RFQs to three people in the area from the Navien site. Eric called me within 5 minutes and said he could be here within the hour. He offered to install it Sunday but we were good with Monday. Allan and Eric arrived Monday morning and removed our old hot water tank, that failed on Sunday afternoon, and installed the new Navien tankless system. They left the area better than it was and fixed a couple other things on our HVAC system they noticed were incorrect as well, without charging more. They took the time to do the job right and care about making sure everything is easily serviceable in the future. A good overall experience. I will call them for other plumbing and HVAC issues in the future.

I called Eric Miller on a Sunday morning as my hot water tank went down leaving me with water in my basement and no running water in my home. He responded within 30 minutes to look at the situation on his way to other calls. Mr. Miller explained my options and I chose to have a tankless system installed. He returned 6 hours later to establish the ability for me to use my cold water. The next day 2 co-workers installed the new tankless system. The whole process was done quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend Miller Plumbing.

Miller Plumbing charged me over 1500 dollars for a simple water heater replacement . No rush, no emergency. I requested an itemized bill of material once I found how much the charged so I can see the cost break down and they flat out refused and played dumb and couldn't tell me the actual cost and said no other company gives an itemized bill. Has anyone ever have an oil change? So I had to go out and hunt down an estimate on material and labor costs myself. Here is the break down. Water Heater same model $397.00. Couldn't find the same model expansion tank but a similar type from home depot is $50.00 I figure 187.00 is fair enough for additional materials. $450 an hour labor x 2 hours of work $900 for a grand total of $1,524. Now I feel as though I have been stripped and raked over hot coals. These guys turned out to be real thieves and should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of people like that. Yes I could have turned them down but they had come out when my wife was working from home. Oh and then there is the $39.00 trip charge that they couldn't even take off the bill for actually doing the work. Good life lesson on why you should always get a second opinion. Oh did I mention that after shutting the gas off for installation of the water heater they never re-lit the pilot for my furnace bringing the temperature down to 60 degrees......stay away from them. Wish I could give 0 stars....

Very pleasant experience all around. We asked to have a new AC system installed during the recent 90+ degree heatwave and the Miller team was here within a couple days of reaching out to them to install a new system. Very professional and polite workers who completed the job all in one day. I'll definitely consider doing business with them again.

They were very knowledgeable about the different systems and parts. Were able to give a clear explanation about the differences in the systems very easy to understand. Came on time and the days they promised to be here. Very respectful when working in the house. Cleaned up extremely well after. Showed me how to use the new thermostat and made sure all the settings were correct. Would highly recommend their services to others.

Our 17 year old AC failed in the middle of 90 degree heat in July. Owner Eric was able to come over and give a quote for a new AC the same day that we called him. He took his time explaining details and answering our questions. He really knows his stuff. We decided to go with him even though we have another quote from a different company that is lower (different brand AC too). We are happy with the installation. Miller's technicians also cleaned up after job was done. All in all, a very positive experience.

They ended up fixing the problem but I felt taken advantage of. Called on Saturday with water backing up in my basement floor drain and was told they would be at my house Sunday morning. No one called so I called back and was told they would come Monday afternoon. Owner ended up coming Monday morning, and attempted to snake the drain from inside and from outside.
Concluded he needed to come back the next day with a helper and a bigger snake. Had to pay an extra $100 because of this which is not right. Got the job done the next day but tried to sell me on additional things that I did not need and the rates they were charging were too high and I confirmed this with another master plumber. -
This is a difficult review because is deals with correcting a defective system. I had a tankless water heater installed (Vesta VH 199). Eric the owner (Miller Plumbing) did the installation. He had responded promptly when my water tank failed, and I had previously decided to go tankless. The removal and installation went fine. The installation looked great as did the added ventilation needed. Unfortunately, over the next few weeks the tankless started to give only luke-warm water (105F) but just occasionally. Long story short the system which was installed in July was replaced in December after several return visits by Miller Plumbing (Eric) and several replaced parts and numerous calls with the manufacturer. Eric was patient, actually more patient than I was. It was frustrating, but Eric kept his cool and kept coming back to get it fixed. He promised that he was 'on my side and would get it fixed'. He did. Things happen and problems come up but it's how you handle them. Eric stuck in there and I have a new tankless (same make/model) and all appears to be good. Eric did a great job during a difficult time (too much work and not enough help in a pandemic). Thanks Eric.

John at Miller Plumbing was great to work with and was professional and courteous. He always kept us informed of our options and we received daily updates. Our first experience with John and Miller Plumbing was when our gas line needed replaced. He even did his best to work around a tree in hopes that it would be saved which we can happily say is alive and thriving. There was no question when our sewage line needed replaced that they were the company for the job.
