Cancelled last minute on the day of scheduled cleaning with no real excuse and wouldn’t offer a replacement team until 3 days later. Do not book them if you actually want to have your house cleaned on time

Cleaner did only half the job. Sent only one person to clean a large 4 bed, 2 bath house. Two of the four bedrooms were completely untouched. Floors were mopped poorly, 3 carpeted areas were not vacuumed at all, fride and countertops were untouched in the kitchen. Trash was not emptied in the bathrooms. Trash removal was not done. My husband had to tell him to clean the dinning room table. The owner says they are not equipped to do big jobs, or anything more than a 2 bed 1 bath, but the website will not tell you that. They offer a "re-clean", but if you are hiring for a specific event or gathering, a re-clean at a future date is useless. What was done was helpful, but I had to come home from work and clean all of what was missed. I have used other cleaning services, and they were all much better. A company called "The Cleaning Service" is wonderful. But please be aware that Groovy maids are not thorough. They have a lot to learn about cleaning.

Everything seemed fine. I got 3 reminder emails, 2 reminder texts about my cleaning service. I was given a 4 hour window when the person would show up. It is now 2:15 PM and nobody has called or showed. I have called the number and had to leave a message, I sent an email - no response. Sent them a message via their website - no response. I wasted my only day off this week waiting for someone to show up, but no one did. I most certainly won't use them again. I thought since the reviews were generally positive I would have a decent experience. Don't waste your money on a company that doesn't even care enough to make a quick call when something happens.

Waste of time and money

Consistently great work! Since the very first cleaning I have been nothing but pleased with the results. Our home is always thoroughly cleaned to our expectations. Booking and making any changes is so easy. In addition to house cleaning every other week, we've also done the deep clean and we were amazed at how detailed that cleaning was.

Scheduling was super easy. Requested an 8-9 timeslot, got booked for 9-10. Someone called at 9:45 to confirm for 11. Then no one showed. Got a text claiming traffic, but there was none in the area. 6 hours later and I have nothing. Can't get anyone on the phone to help, can't get an answer via email. Might be a scam, please be aware.

I look forward to my weekly cleanings! Tina is always willing to help out, and works hard to get things done. She’s done deep cleaning, as well as standard cleans, and I couldn’t be happier.

Worst cleaners I’ve worked with and a complete waste of money. We hired them for a move out clean and every extra service they offered, but they skipped several things. They didn’t answer our emails, so we were left us scrambling to clean the house again ourselves in order to make our moving deadline. The cleaners loudly argued with each other throughout the cleaning.

They didn’t dust anything over eye level, didn’t clean the oven, didn’t move even small items to sweep around them, skipped the showers, and missed several other things. We emailed them but received no response. Unacceptable service, especially to be charging over $400.

They did an amazing deep cleaning job on the kitchen and bathrooms. They sparkle like new! There were 2 higher up windows in our basement, a table, rangehood and some baseboards that were not cleaned. Some windows were beautiful and sparkly. Other windows were very streaky.

Very unpleased with cleaning and customer service. Cleaners were polite and called to apologise for accidentally breaking a lamp however my apartment was left dirtier than before. The floors were not swept or cleaned. My personal items on a bookshelf were rearranged (staged?) and things left very out of sorts - a throw rug was folded up and not vacuumed (odd). My hamper left on top of my dresser. Some fixtures were cleaned but my shower itself was not even lightly cleaned, still soap scum/residue. Left folded boxes I had leaning against a wall on top of my dining table... Which was also... Not even wiped down or cleaned. Very confused by the service for a deep clean. I continued to find two small bags of random garbage in the kitchen and the dining area, a random dirty lightbulb on the shelves with my clean dishes, and that my stove was... You guessed it, not cleaned at all. Beyond this, I messaged the owner right away and was met with the need for more detail, photos and repeated statements that I had to allow them back to clean again in order to get a refund. I explained that I did not feel comfortable allowing them back in my apartment given the initial service and the policy (several sentences on their website) did not necessarily mandate things in that order and was met with further resistance to a plain old refund. I understand avoiding being taken advantage of, but this is absurd. I am disputing the charges through my credit card company. Sounded too good to be true so it must be. Would not recommend for cleaning or customer service.

4/10. The house was still quite dirty when they left. A crew of three stayed for about 1 and 1/2 hours total for the “deep clean”. Floors still filthy after mopping, still residue all over the Fridge and In the drawers of the fridge, dust still in all the corners of the house. They didn’t move anything to clean underneath or around anything. I could have done a better job in less than three hours all by myself.

I'm really disappointed. I really wanted to like this experience. I paid $219 for a full house cleaning, specifically requesting and paying extra for the baseboards to be detailed. What I got was a quick 1-hour pass through my house that I would have rather paid somebody $30 to do.

**Arrival timing issues:
I selected a service window of 9am-1pm. The initial email said to allow for an hour of wiggle room due to traffic and other considerations. Then, I received an email that said 9am-1pm was the arrival window and the cleaner could come any time within that window. That's on par with Comcast time windows! Not sure that this is the maid's fault or the fault of the company, but it wasn't a great experience.

**Quality issues:
Anyways, the lady showed up at 10:50am...and left at 12pm. That's just a little over an hour for a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. For $219.
She brought in 2 buckets, a broom, and a cheap mop. No vacuum - she asked to use ours.

I was home and working in another part of the house while she cleaned. She was nice and asked me to come upstairs to look at the bathroom and asked if it was OK. I said it was. It wasn't amazing, but it was OK and passable.

One she left, I took a look at the rest of the house and was definitely unimpressed. I checked the "general cleaning checklist" on the Groovy Maid website and saw that trash was supposed to be taken out, the kitchen appliance exteriors cleaned, the windowsils cleaned, the picture frames dusted, etc. Please see my review photos -- this sadly didn't happen, and I'm not surprised because how could anybody do all of this in just 1 hour? The floor dried with wet footprints that weren't mine. There were stains on the wood floor that weren't lifted despite her mopping (though she did break her brand new cheap mop halfway through and have to switch to cleaning on her hands and knees...). Picture frames are dusty, windowsils are untouched, rings left on the coffee table, and the baseboards that I paid *extra* for...some totally untouched. Our bathroom rug was left draped over my living room chair.

**The Good:
She did clean up our well-used upstairs bathroom, which definitely needed help. I'm happy with how that looks. I also appreciate that the maid was friendly to my cat following her around.

I will conclude this review by saying the maid was super friendly, and I did tip her for her service because it seemed like she really was hustling, and also I definitely didn't realize the extent to what was left untouched.

Overall this was NOT worth it and I cannot recommend Groovy Maids to anybody. An hour is NOT enough time to clean a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. Our house was NOT that dirty by any means, so it's not like my house was so filthy that there just wasn't time to get it all cleaned.

Oh, and the maid left her broken mop in my kitchen. :(

I did a lot of research looking for a quality cleaning service and chose Groovy Maids - my husband had started a chat with them initially asking if they first serviced our area, because what’s the point if not? They assured us they did! I called one month ago to make an appointment - and since the initial call, which they had my address because I signed up online, I spoke to someone a total of three times the last being the confirmation of my appointment. I received two emails reminding me of my appointment. My appointment was set of 4/29/2021 at 9 AM - which when I chose the appointment that was NOT the time I chose but accepted it anyway because I really need some help! At 9:15 AM I get a text message that my appointment was CANCELED and if I wanted to reschedule to call the number listed in the text message!!! I called just to see the reason of cancellation and was sent to VOICEMAIL! As I was about to leave a message I received a call back - I spoke with a lady (mind you same lady I’ve spoken with the past three times) who told be how sorry she was but their office is 1.5 hrs away from my house and they don’t service my area!!!!!! Ok - sooooo your going to tell me 15 min PAST the time you were suppose to be here let alone we checked to make sure you serviced our area - you had my address for A MONTH?! Not ONCE while talking to me you couldn’t have googled to see how far away it was?!? Not to mention Groovy Maids is 40 MIN from my address ... this is the biggest joke of a company a HUGE waste of time especially when you run your own business and rearranged your ENTIRE day for them....in my opinion FIND ANYONE ELSE to help you!

My first experience woth Groovy maid was decent. They arrived the day I expected them, with four polite people who worked diligently and were finished within two hours. I'm having them back again.

Very punctual with time and did a very good job at cleaning my apartment due to having multiple cats it can get very tedious to keep clean all the time. Ken did an excellent job at making sure all the cat fur was cleaned up did so in a much faster time than I ever could! Definitely worth the money and service!

I don't normally leave reviews but I'm EXTREMELY satisfied with the service provided by Groovy Maid. I decided to give them a try to clean my parents' home after being constantly disappointed by other companies. It's an understatement to say that my parents and I are hard to please, but even they had to acknowledge this was the best cleaning they've had in months (and the tip they gave the cleaners proved it lol). Highly recommended

I was gifted a service with Groovy Maid about a month ago and, although the cleaning itself wasn’t perfect, I decided to book a second appointment myself. I did book thru their website and was confirmed, with email confirmation, for Thursday, December 1 between 9am-11am, but by 10:30am no one had still arrived. When I called to inquire, I was told a voicemail had been left on my phone the previous day (it was not) informing me that, even tho my appointment was confirmed, there was no openings until exactly a week later. I won’t be using this service again if they can’t even get their own scheduling handled, and I would strongly urge others to do the same.

After becoming a new business owner, my home became a disaster zone. The folks at Groovy Maid saved the day, and my sanity!

The staff is very reliable, thorough, and personable, and the prices are great for the amount of service you receive! The online booking and payment feature is very easy and convenient.

If you have a chaotic and demanding schedule, you owe it to yourself to give Groovy Maid's services out!

I've been getting my apartment cleaned for a few months now by Autumn. I've been very happy with both Groovy Maid and with Autumn. Groovy Maid makes it very easy to schedule and reschedule cleanings. Autumn is efficient and thorough and honors my requests well. I'm very happy!

Hired Groovy Maid to do a final clean on my house after moving out and before it goes on the market. The quality of the cleaning was wonderful, and I wished I'd been using them all along! Definitely recommend highly.

Groovy Maid is awesome!! We have a good size building to say the least. They do not disappoint!! Punctual and great service!! Staff was friendly and they did a great job! Definitely recommend!! Will be using them in the future for sure! 😎

Owning my business, can be difficult with upkeep on my house. I basically sleep and shower at home. So I gave groovy maid a call, and they made my house sparkle. The cleaners did an amazing job and the customer service was great.
