We had a large project that included excavation, grading, a retaining wall, and lighting. Brian and his team nailed every aspect of the project. They were timely, professional, and had great attention to detail. I highly recommend Dirt Works for any landscaping or hardscaping needs.

We called them initially for a quote for some concrete work (the area around the foundation of our house was getting really difficult to upkeep and we needed some new concrete poured as well.

Brian came to quote quickly and did a really thorough job analyzing our space and making recommendations for how to approach solutions.

In conjunction with a recommended landscape designer we came up with a plan for new retaining wall, concrete pathway, regrading and all new landscaping and plants.

In the process of excavating the retaining walls that we weren't intending to switch out, some problems were unearthed (pun intended) that meant these too had to be replaced. Brian was quick to work up a change order and get started on the expanded work.

We never at any point felt we were being "upsold" or hoodwinked into doing something we didn't want. At each point we felt like the best solution was the one presented to us.

The work took about 3 weeks in total - throughout that time Brian and the team were clean, courteous and as respectful of minimizing disruption as possible. Even the neighbors commented at how hard working and respectful they were.

Brian was on the job every day - and they worked until the job was done - sometimes well after the sun had gone down.

If ever a problem was encountered, by the time it had been drawn to our attention, Brian had already come up with at least one possible solution and would often come back the next day with more options having thought about it overnight.

Don't get me wrong, this was the most expensive home renovation project we have ever undertaken - and it did hurt to spend the money, but we think that Brian and the team were worth every penny.

In the end, we ended up with a beautiful yard that we have no doubt will last for many years to come.

Reached out to several companies to get a quote to replace two retaining walls along a driveway. Brian with Dirt Works was the only one who gave great communication from the get go and also a good price. The whole job was completed in less than a week of me contacting him. He kept me updated the entire way and arrived on the job site exactly when he said he would. Very happy with the completed project. Would highly recommend him and his company. Hard to find people or companies anymore that that follow through like Brian does.

I reached out to Dirt Works for a retaining wall that supports my yard above my neighbor’s. Brian came to my home to see the job site and was completely honest and forthright with both me and my neighbor about the best approach, the cost, and the options available. With Brian’s advice, I decided to hold off on the project for now. So while I can’t speak directly to Brian’s work, if it’s anything like his character, I’d recommend him without hesitation. I could not recommend this company enough. I had two crumbling retaining wall replaced and the difference in quality is incredible. The pictures speak for themselves. No corners were cut. Quality work that is built to last. Brian was in constant communication leading up-to and during the entire duration of the project. He takes pride in his work and stands behind everything.

Over the winter, we added three windows to our basement which required heavy machinery to traverse through a part of our yard. The damaged area is about 2,600 sqft. This spring, we had Dirt Works repair the damage yard, regrade around the affected area of the house, and add mulch.

Brian and his crew did a fantastic job. Specifically: earth was moved to blend the damaged yard back with the natural landscape of surrounding area, the area was then Harley raked, earth was moved to regrade around the affected area of the house, many tons of top soil was added, many cubic yards of mulch was added, the yard was hydroseeded, and a temporary sprinkler system was set up.

Brian was extremely responsive throughout the whole process, from quoting to the final end product, and was prompt and courteous the entire time. It is very clear that Brian knows what he’s doing and knows the ins and out of his work.

Brian and his team at Dirt Works are awesome! I had my walls along my driveway done by them years ago and they completely changed the look of my home. I needed my mulch beds cleaned out and re edged along with some river rock work in the back this year. Everything looks great and the price was very honest and fair. The day I called and talked to Brian to inquire about the service he showed up for an estimate that evening. I needed to get this done prior to my daughters birthday and they stepped up. Brian Patter of Dirt Works recently completed my “large” driveway & retaining wall. We are extremely pleased with the end product. He was very responsive and up front during the project. He worked hard each day, arrived when he said he would and worked late frequently. He made great suggestions during the project also. The worksite was left neat & organized daily, a fact that was not lost on my neighbors as many of them commented on it. He did not encroach or damage my adjacent neighbors property. And he worked so as to limit damage to my yard. He was friendly and never hesitated to answer my questions. I very much enjoyed our discussions. His pricing was fair and he was up front about the cost from day one. And he stayed on budget absent the add ons I requested as the project proceeded. He did a great job putting the yard around the driveway back in order.

Had a new firepit patio, wall and french drain installed by Brian and his crew. We have been dealing with drainage issues in our backyard and Brian was very knowledgeable and made recommendations to solve the drainage problem before building the firepit.

The attention to detail that Brian puts into his work is something that you do not find often anymore. The firepit patio turned out amazing due to his meticulous nature to give the customer a quality product. They also made sure to clean up after themselves, repair the yard from the machine tracks and even washing the road!

Brian completely renovated our 8,000 sqft. Yard with screened topsoil and topped it off with Hydroseeding. Brian’s attention to detail and perfection is unmatched. From our first meeting to go over the project to completion, Brian was on time and very communicative with what to expect and when. I was so impressed with this charming, local shop. They have excellent customer service and beautiful flowers! We got veggies, compost and flowers. The prices are much better than some of the landscaping stores nearby. Highly recommend!
