Jay and team were excellent. Buried an old inground pool and transformed backyard into level/usable area for the family to enjoy. Jay came quickly to quote the job and worked with us on planning and design ideas. The field team was quickly mobilized to begin work as promised and Jay was present throughout the process to help and accommodate on-the-fly changes so we were 100% satisfied. Filed team were experts, started early and spent full days completing work until done. Great value, highly recommended.

J Bird's did an outstanding job installing a French drain along the front and down one side of our house. Also, they connected the downspouts from our gutters to a separate underground pipe to run rain water away from the house. The contractor was very knowledgeable of how best to tackle our particular situation given the depth and age of our foundation. We live in the city on a narrow street with houses very close together. This did not hinder them from getting in and getting it all done in less than 3 days. We and our neighbors were very happy it went so fast. Before leaving they pressure washed the nearby driveways, the sidewalks, and even the street in front of the house to remove soil that was covering them from all the required digging. We highly recommend them to others for similar and other types of structural landscaping projects.

J Birds recently did a french drain and resculpted our back lot, about 1/2 acre, and did a great job. Jay showed up when he said he would, was attentive to my needs, did what he said he would do, was efficient, and the result is fantastic. I had a few issues which I addressed with Jay and he took care of them no problem. And the price was fair, better than most and the job he did was the best anyone could do. I would use j birds again and recommend them to my friends and family.

J Bird’s Landscaping focuses on excavation and French drains, although they do provide some other services. In 2022, I hired J Bird’s Landscaping to build French drains in my yard and to reroute a downspout pipe underground. I hired J Bird’s because they are able to dig deep and wide trenches for the most effective French drains. The workers completed the job in a few days. I thought that they did a great job with digging the trenches and laying down the fabric, drainage pipes, gravel, soil, and grass seed. In the upcoming winter and spring, I will evaluate how well the drains handle the water in my yard. (Please note that J Bird’s is busy with many customers, so you might have to wait to obtain an estimate and to book your job.)

I hired J Birds Landscaping LLC to do a French drain for a spot in my yard that would flood out with snow/rain. They were very easy to deal with. They fit me in before the end of the season and did a great job with the yard considering the work. You could barely tell anyone was here when they were done. I would use them again.

Owner of company put in a new driveway at my neighbors house. First day when I came home from work it appeared he dug a line out on the property line or on my side of property. Called my neighbor and he reported back that owner said he was at least 3 ft off the property line. I called him out on it in person and he said that he made a mistake. So he told me one story and my neighbor another. Upon getting a survey he dug on the line and obviously knew it. Very sneaky and unprofessional. Poor communication- think if you are digging on the property line you’d alert the neighbor. Very unprofessional.

This winter was harsh and knocked over a retaining wall behind my house. To build a new one the old one had to be removed and new one built all by hand. It was hard work. BUT Caleb and Keaton were up to the task. This company has it all. Their trucks and equipment are well maintained. Their work ethic is phenomenal. The job must not only meet your standards but theirs also. The price was reasonable and after completion all was cleaned up. If you want the best job done to your satisfaction call B&A Landscaping and construction.
