This company is great. I called them on a Sunday morning about a tree on my house, and they were out on Sunday afternoon to access the situation. We were very pleased with the quick response to removing the tree from our house and clean up of the debris. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Call them for all your tree service needs.

The whole crew was remarkable. They were able to remove some very hard to reach trees on our property seemingly without any difficulty at all. They were finished with the job before I knew it, and they didn’t leave so much as a twig behind to suggest that any work had been done at all. All of that work getting done in less than ideal weather conditions is even more impressive.

Greater Pitt Tree Service's process is great. Our experience started out with an estimate from Mike K. on the day and time it was scheduled. I thought it was a fair price to cut a few large trees down and remove a very large branch all of which were hanging over electric lines, our fence, and our neighbor's back yard. The work was scheduled. Carlos visited the day before the scheduled date to review the project. The following day Carlos arrived at 8:00 followed by all his equipment and his crew. He discussed the job with them and the work was started. The crew was efficient and got the work done safely. Also they were a friendly bunch of guys. Once completed, they cleaned up our yard, cleaned up the street, and went on their way. I would highly recommend Greater Pitt Tree Service.

I’ve used them now 3 times for various jobs over the years, and every time has been fantastic. Well priced, professional, very responsive. Jimmy is a great guy and will be sure to get your needs met.

We had to say goodbye to our beautiful Crimson King Maple tree today, but could not have gotten a better crew to take care of it. The tree had been failing from environmental damage for the past few years and was becoming a liability to maintain. Desiree D., the general manager for Greater Tree PGH, hooked us up with Mike and Troy (arborist who helped identify the tree—which we’d had incorrect for years!!) and also provided quotes for a few other trees bordering the property. Not only was the work efficient and professional but it was educational and affordable. What initially felt like an overwhelming task to
address, literally turned into a nice afternoon. Matt and Brandon (and their small crew) left the yard meticulous and were both a pleasure to work with. Desiree personally stopped by to bookend the process (just above and beyond service all around) and we will definitely be calling on this company in the future. You’ve got an amazing team, Carlos. We were very impressed with how efficient our work was done. They got here got right to work trimming our tree and they cleaned the yard back up not a twig was left behind. Highly recommend this tree service.

We had a very large Norwegian Maple in our backyard that needed to be removed due to being structurally unsafe. We were landlocked and had many obstacles to work around including wires, large crane needed to be used. Unbelievable technical skill with the tree climber and crane operator taking the tree up and over our house. Nonstop working, cutting loading into dumpster or using the large chipper. Excellent responce time and service with Greater Pitt Tree Service, highly recommend and a good experience with talking to Desiree. Carlos the owner and all his crew did a phenomenal job!

This company was clearing fallen trees on a neighbors property today. Very well organized and efficient work flow. Professional looking job site and quick getting work done and cleaned up. Just snapped a few photos for practice, enjoy.

We used Greater Pitt Tree Service for a very difficult job. The large trunk of an approximately 60 ft. evergreen was ready to split down the middle. The major problem was no vehicle access to our backyard. Thankfully, our neighbor to our left gave us permission to use his empty lot for the large crane required. GPTS got as close as possible to send their guy up in the tree to systematically and carefully begin the process of securing large limbs, cutting, and lifting them slowly and laying them down so the rest of the crew could do their individual jobs. From start to finish, GPTS was precision in motion. They communicated well with each other, cleaned up fallen twigs from our yard and left our neighbor's lot exactly as they found it! All of this was accomplished in less than 3 hours!! It was unbelievable to watch. Kudos to these hard-working guys! We have no more trees, but we wholeheartedly endorse GPTS for your next big job. We totally agree with another reviewer that you could probably get someone else cheaper, but you're taking a huge risk! These guys have the knowledge, the skill, and lots of trucks and equipment to finish the job right!! Thanks, GPTS, for an outstanding job.

I called Greater Pitt Tree Service for an estimate on pruning/trimming 2 of our maple trees. We had used the company last year and were very pleased with their work. Jim arrived on time and was very thorough in explaining the pros and cons of pruning our trees. The bottom line...Jim recommended that we NOT prune for at least the next 2 years! In fact, Jim used a lopper to remove a few low hanging branches at no charge. I highly recommend Greater Pitt Tree Service for any of your needed tree services.

I have a 50' plus oak tree that Greater Pitt Tree Service came to trim today. They did a fantastic job, my tree looks beautiful! The branches were getting close to the roof and the cable line. The weather was windy, cold and occasional snow. The clean-up was excellent, they even used a leaf blower to remove any sawdust or tiny twigs. The price was very affordable. Carlos, the owner, even came towards the end of the job to make sure everything was fine. His brother, Jim, was the overseer of the job, was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this tree company.

This giant tree with big ol’ branches threatens to fall on the house every time the wind blows. We called the experts. They were prompt and professional with their communications. They came quickly, did the job with excellence, and moved on. They didn’t linger or try to make it look like it took longer than it needed to. No surprises. Top notch, 5 stars all the way through the process. Now when the wind blows we have peace of mind that a giant branch isn’t going to come crashing down on us. Gjreater Pitt Tree Service was great to work with. The came out and gave me a quote promptly. I did not have to wait 3-6 weeks just for the quote. They called the next day and said they would be her on the 20th between 8-4. They showed up at 9 am and did a great job. Cut and trimmed the two trees very efficiently and cleaned up all the debris. Left the yard looking perfectly clean. I would highly recommend using them if you need tree work done. Great job!!!

These guys did a great job removing trees for me at two properties. They were fast, easy to work with, cleaned up after themselves, and they beat the other quotes by a few hundred dollars. Thank you Carlos & Mike!

I just had an outstanding experience with Greater Pitt Tree Service. It began with Stephanie, the office manager. She is the glue that holds the operation together, from initial contact to job completion. Communication was outstanding throughout.
I called about a dead beech tree that needed to be removed. This wasn't going to be your everyday routine removal as it was a very large tree off the back wall and leaning, on an unstable hillside.

Mike came out along with Carlos, the owner, to assess the situation. Logistics were discussed and all questions were answered. This process was low stress, hassle free with no sales pressure. Upon acceptance the work was scheduled.

On the day the job was to be performed the crew arrived promptly and went to work. It was obvious from the beginning these folks know what they are doing. Often with a job this complicated something unplanned is bound to happen. I have nothing in this regard. It was a thought out process and they performed splendidly. When it came time for the cleanup the crew's professionalism was on display again as they did a better job than I would have done. Thank you to everyone for a job well done.

I can't end this review without saying something about the cost. There is more to the cost of a job than numbers. If you want somebody to simply come out and cut your tree down you can find someone to do that at a certain price point. If you want professionals who are trained, insured and will do the job properly you will pay more. The price was reasonable and I had no doubt that the job was going to be done properly. This was a great investment in my opinion. Greater Pitt Tree Service doesn't claim to be the least expensive but they can take pride in saying they are one of the best (most likely THE best) and at the top of their game. That's my two cents worth and with that I'm done.

Super happy with the work M&S did with taking down my 2 trees. Nick and his team did a great job throughout the whole process and his prices can’t be beat! Will definitely be using M&S again should I need any other tree care.

I recommend M&S and will be going with them again in the future if I need any tree work done. They came out to look at the job an hour after I called, were able to take care of it the next day, and the price was reasonable.
