Recently Fred’s Tree Service removed two trees in my yard. The three employees who completed the work performed their jobs with attention to fine detail. The employee who made the cuts in each branch was extra careful not to have the tree fall on my shed which was within a couple feet from the trees. The trees were very tall. Everything was done with precision. Each worker completed a different job but in the end they all made sure the work area was done as a team to perfection. No limbs, twigs or sawdust was left behind. I couldn’t have been more pleased with their work. They completed the work on time as scheduled in a timely fashion, were extremely knowledgeable about the job they performed, were personable and took pride in doing their best work. Excellent company! I would highly recommend Fred’s Tree & Lawn Service.

Fred's pruned a tall tree exactly as I requested and cleaned up the whole hillside around it. All was done in a very timely manner. Very professional job. Would call again.

Have used Fred"s before for pruning maple's and I believe they saved the trees. Had a big dead oak and a couple of smaller trees in backyard that needed removal. Was afraid of the damage the equipment might do to the yard. They have a state of the art tree bucket I believe they called a Spider with rubber treads that goes 83 ft high! They cut the trees down with precision and didn't damage any sheds, shrubs, birdhouses etc. The clean up was immaculate, They even blew off patio which had a slight bit of sawdust on it. I can barely tell they were here except for some slight impressions in grass, which they even raked to fluff up. We couldn't be happier!!!

My family and I live in a wooded area in Pittsburgh. I hired Fred's Tree and Lawn Service to remove multiple dead trees and to trim healthy trees on our property. There were seven hard-working men who did an amazing job. They were professional and very efficient. I am very impressed and would highly recommend this company. Fred showed up unsolicited one day after doing some work for a neighbor and gave us a quote for removing four large pines, grinding the stumps and roots, and leveling the yard afterward. The quote was very reasonable compared to other quotes we received, especially considering how complicated this job was with overhead power lines to deal with as well.
Later that same week, the crew showed up with a bucket truck, shredder, stump grinder, dumpster for tree debris etc. and got to it. All four trees were meticulously removed down to the stumps within a few hours with precision to avoid damage to the house, driveways, etc.
The next morning the crew returned and began grinding the stumps and exposed roots. They then proceeded to essentially "till" and level the entire front yard removing all shredded root debris and leaving behind a perfectly level yard ready for final landscaping. Before leaving, everything was then cleaned up and a backpack blower was used to carefully remove any dust and dirt from the street, driveway, and porch.
This team exceeded our expectations and we can't say enough about Rob, who operated the stump grinder and took charge of this job. He was fantastic!!!
Fred's will be our goto tree service moving forward as they were affordable, efficient, and very professional!

Fred came out and gave me an estimate on the same day I called. The team he had working came out the next day. They were polite and professional. He charged the quoted price, and left my property in great condition. They did an admirable job, and I will definitely call them again when I need this service.

I had a limb and a tree that needed to be removed for safety reasons. Fred and his crew were here the day that I spoke to him and worked into dusk, and back the next work day, early to complete the job! I had a dead tree in my yard that barely survived our last storm, and I was desperate to get it down before the next one. I contacted several tree removal services over the course a few days, and none of them got back to me. After getting a mailer for Fred's, I called them. Fred came that same day, and two days later, his crew showed up and did an AMAZING job. The tree is down, my anxiety is quelled, and I couldn't be more thankful. Reasonably priced, professional, and fast. You can't ask for more!

Fred and his crew did a great job removing 5 trees and a bush. Stumps were removed and grinded. They cleaned up my yard and were very thorough! I highly recommend these guys and we'll definitely use them again!!! Thank you, Fred!

I had one of Fred’s crew out at my home to trim up a GIANT Silver Maple tree. The tree is located on top of a 20’ berm behind my backyard with the branches hanging 50’ into my middle yard and you could touch the branch tips! The crew consisted of a climber, a rope man and two laborers. They all did a great job leaving nothing to question! The climber was great at his job along with the rope man ensuring no limbs destroyed my fencing. The laborers were right on every branch cutting smaller then carrying to the truck pulled mulcher. They finished the job by raking and blowing off my driveway and street. The pricing was straight forward with no guessing and no hidden costs. The price was comparable to other bids but clearly the quality of work was exceptional. I will not hesitate a moment to recommend them to everyone. I will most definitely use them again.

Fred’s Tree Service took down my dying silver maple. They got the stump out and all the tree roots that were throughout my backyard. The crew was professional and worked hard ALL day. They were affordable too and I highly recommend them.

A neighbor had their tree cut down. We agreed to let them drop some branches in our back yard to help them out. They did not use any ropes to lower down the branches and were throwing large diameter branches from about 20 feet. They left a large divot in our yard. I let the foreman know. He reported that there was no way there was a divot (the ground was frozen so it took quite a bit of force to create this large divot), so I showed him a picture I had just taken. When he went into my backyard to see the condition of the yard with him, he started being rude and told me they never would have asked if he knew I "would be so uptight" about this and continued to be rude and disrespectful. The company we used to take down multiple large trees in our yard and was much gentle and tremendously more respectful. Would highly recommend Monster Tree Services if you need a company and would not recommend Fred's.

I called Fred's in the morning and crew was there in the afternoon. They took down a 100' tall cherry tree that was aiming for my house and shed. Safe and efficient job, friendly people.

The guys came in and just went to work nonstop and tackled our entire job in such an efficient manner! They were also nice to speak with and very professional. We talked to Fred first for an estimate, and he took the time to explain our issues and educate us on a few things as well. I would recommend them without hesitation!

Make this company the only tree and lawn service you use!! They arrived earlier than quoted, cut down an 80 foot Maple tree in less than 90 minutes. They grounded down the stump and then proceeded to clean up all debris. They positioned their bucket from the bucket truck over my roof and blew all debris off my roof and gutter, and checked my neighbors roof and gutter also. They worked together as a team and every single crew member did their part. They were polite and took great care to get the job done with no problem. Their price was better than others and the owner could not of been more polite and professional. I highly recommend this company for ALL your tree and lawn needs. Ginny and Tony D’ercole

I would be remiss if I didn’t make comments on Fred’s Tree Service and the work they have done for us over the years. In the last 20 years we have recruited Fred’s group several times to resolve our tree issues. They have done it with extreme professionalism, quick response, and exceptional cleanliness. We’ve had several trees removed over the 5 times they’ve been to our home along with several trees trimmed, each time. They pull in, immediately go to work and in just a few hours they pull out with job completed and you wouldn’t even recognize they were there except for the missing or trimmed trees. His crew are very accommodating and responsive to customers concerns, and worked with us to relieve those concerns and put our mind at easy.
I’ve had other tree services to other properties we’ve owned, but none were a match for Fred’s group. He’s first on our call list!

We and a huge oak tree in the front yard that had become a pain to deal with...leaf cleanup, clogged gutters, etc. Fred's crew arrived with a fleet of equipment (chipper, bucket truck, stump grinder, skid loader, two roll-off boxes).The crew had the tree down and gone that day and returned the next morning to level the lawn and clean up. These guys worked so hard I got tired just watching them! Great job. Would absolutely recommend.
