New Year’s Day leak. Service arrived 8:30 in the morning. Spent the morning searching for a leak. Found it and within two hours had it repaired. Great Job. Paid the emergency call rate and had them do water line replacement that day. Worth the extra money since we were leaving on vacation

Furnace quit working in the middle of a very cold winter Saturday night. The next morning (Sunday) we called ACS and they came out that afternoon, diagnosed the problem and repaired it in an hour or so. Very pleased with the timely weekend response and the competent technician. He discussed the options with me along with the pricing and we were able to make a responsible decision quickly once the issue was diagnosed.

Tory arrived on time and helped us find a great solution to our need for a new furnace. He is knowledgeable and very respectful. He answered all our questions. He even offered us a space heater since it's been pretty cold here in the mornings. I couldn't have asked for more. Our new furnace goes in Monday so I'll update my review then.

Update: New furnace was installed, and no issues. All of our questions were answered, and everything went well.

Later on we had some balance issues, and some issues with a return blocked with insulation. Lyle came out to help us figure out what to do. I love that everyone we've dealt with there so far has been professional and patient, answered all our questions. The estimate took a while to receive, but it has now been received and repairs are going to be scheduled after the holidays. I will update further after that's done.

Update 1/7/25

The above issue was addressed beautifully. Our blocked return was completely cleaned out and panned correctly. New ductwork was installed to our addition through a crawlspace, replacing old flexible ductwork that was installed by our previous HVAC company many years ago. They said we should have no issues now getting our ductwork cleaned. They showed up on time, and completed the work sooner than they expected I think. Everything went as well as it could possibly have gone. I am so thankful that I found Armstrong Comfort Solutions! Wonderful people, family owned, respectful, there are not enough words to tell you how pleased I am with Armstrong!

This group is very on the ball. They get the job done quickly and done correctly. They replaced a drain line that went into concrete in my basement, and it was not an easy repair also due to the various turns it when through in the ceiling above. It was done perfectly. It is also worth mentioning there scheduling and communication, easy to schedule the initial review of the issue, solution, and timing of repair. Great overall team at ACS.

Brandon is the Man!!!! He came out in the snow to get our furnace up and running. Not only did he fix our problem, he also taught us a little something about our furnace as well. This guy is legit and very professional and nice. Dam I was there were more stars because I'd give him 10 if I could!

This is the third time I have used Armstrong Comfort Solutions and the third time I have been extremely happy with their services. This project included a new ground pipe for my roof gutter runoff, a new French drain, and a sump pump installation for a flooding back patio.

Justin T. And Ronald F. were both extremely professional. They explained every step of the process, were considerate to my family and my belongings while the work was being done, and above all else, completely resolved my flooding issues.

I will always use ACS for my plumbing services.

Very pleased with the quick and professional service. Earl called and showed up at the time stated. He answered all of my questions and had my drain uncloged in a short amount of time where I worked on it the day before for hours with no luck. Even when I scheduled an appointment it was a couple days out but the next morning I received a call saying they could send a tech that day. You don't find very many companies with that good of service. Thank you, I appreciate it.

HVAC OVERHAUL: (April 1st & 2nd, 2025):
The weather was angry that day, my friends, like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli. 😉… It all started with subzero temps on January 22nd, 2025. A -9 F Day froze our attic furnace condensate lines causing water to backup into the primary heat exchanger. This put an arrow through the heart of our Ruud furnace. Being that we have 2 furnaces & 2 AC units that were 17 yrs old, we decided to replace the entire system.
After receiving 4 bids from various companies north of Pittsburgh, ACS Comfort Consultant Tory Coyle provided the most competitive bid for the highest quality HVAC replacement package.

Our priorities:
Not hear our attic furnace above the upstairs bedrooms, or the AC units next to our deck & pool.

Precise temp control using a fully communicating system that smooths out cold and hot spots in a 5,000 sq ft home using variable technology (variable furnace blower/modulating gas valve/variable speed compressor); odor, UV particulate, & humidity control.

MORE IMPORTANTLY- Installation. I can’t stress this enough. In order for these components to last past the 10-year warranty, installation was even more important to us than the type of equipment being installed. Extensive research put ACS at the top of the list. They take such pride in their work that they even signed both our furnaces after installation. Truly amazing craftsmanship. This was our install team:

Tory- our sales rep & previous ACS installer designed our system to make sure it would be the correct system for our size home. He met our requested needs and ordered components that the installers would be able to install correctly the FIRST time around.
Eli N.- Residential Install & Service Supervisor is the face of ACS. His HVAC knowledge is extensive. He orchestrated his team to install our fully communicating Carrier system in 2 days.
Joey B.- Installer with ACS who learned his trade from his father, Shane (a 20+yr ACS installer). His attention to detail and communication with us during the install was terrific. I’d be lying if I said he didn’t miss a step since nobody can be a perfect installer but he is one that comes close to that goal.
Ethan H.- worked even during a severe thunderstorm. At times the rain came down so hard (no lightning or thunder) that I thought he was going to build an ark while connecting our two 24VNA6 3-ton AC units to the inside equipment.

Darrin finished another job early and headed over to our place to help out with the install. His teamwork mindset was instrumental in helping Eli run communicating wires to the attic. Not an easy job considering how the wires had to be run.

Cooper- the protégé of the team learning his trade and contributing his expertise in ways that astounded us as he lent a hand wherever necessary both in the attic and the basement.

Dave E. & Lou S. handled the massive task of delivering the new equipment and takeout of the old units from our property. They were incredibly personable and respectful of making sure there was not want one scratch or bent fin on our new units. These beasts are heavy & they did not disappoint with their delicate touch.

Finally, for any unforeseen install challenges, ACS has a jewel of an employee in Mark McNellis. He hired a fantastic sales team who concentrate more on helping customers rather than selling unneeded equipment. An employee w/ cultured relationships in the business who know how to get challenges resolved QUICKLY is a rarity. Thank you Mark (& Robbie & Dinger) for your dedication to your craft.

After a confirmation phone call, Devin arrived promptly as scheduled. He was polite, went about his work quickly and quietly, treated my home with respect (including using shoe coverings), and explained what needed to be done and why. He explained things no one else had before so that I could get the most out of my furnace and humidifier. He replaced the furnace filter, as expected, but also replaced the humidifier filter, which was in terrible shape, something we were not aware of from prior visits by other techs. He had to leave to get the extra filter since he didn’t have one in his truck, but he did not complain about it putting him behind schedule. Overall I was very pleased and hope Devin is around again for spring maintenance.

The old oil furnace was sooting excessively. We were using One Hour Heating until they kept messing up the service call the last two years. We decided to go with Armstrong Comfort Solution. They were out within the hour of our furnace stop running. The tech (Shane) knew immediately that the problem was a plugged furnace. They brought over 3 heaters for us to use while we decided whether to put more money in the old oil furnace or get a new one along with air conditioning. We decided to purchase everything new. Installation of the air conditioning is being done today. All the workers are courtesy and knowledgeable. At no time did they try to sell us a new furnace. It was completely our choice because the wife wanted air conditioning installed in the house.

Ross did a great job on our second floor replumbing project. He quickly replaced our copper with brand new PEX and routed everything so that it's easy to understand. He also did a great job cleaning up after the work and overall, we're very happy. I also wanted to mention that Amanda was great to work with on the scheduling and communication side of things.

Jason was prompt and professional. Not only was he very informative but he was also friendly and personable. Very easy to talk to. If the quote wasn't higher than my other quotes, I would definitely consider using your services. Jason is a very good representative of your company. I will definitely give you another opportunity to earn our business.

From start to finish it was a 5/5 stars for our family. The awesome customer service from Amanda texting my wife updates for arrival, and the amazing job Tom did in cleaning out our main line. We are so thankful and grateful he solved the issue of our sink being backed up from our upstairs bathroom. He was awesome and answered any questions we had, cannot express enough how thankful we are!

We just bought a house and stupidly did not have a sewer inspection done. After only a few months, the sewer backed up into our basement. We called Armstrong because we are part of the peace of mind program and they sent Matt Mertz plumbing out the same day. The plumber was able to free up our line and they returned to scope the entire system, finding that we had old terra cotta lines that were degenerating. We waited for a bit because the replacement service was fairly expensive (understandably). When we needed to have the repairs done, Matt Mertz plumbing was at our door within a day. They dug up our entire cement basement and dirt crawlspace, replaced all the lines, and repaired everything within a week. We were only without water for one day. They were professional and friendly and the system now works perfectly. They charged us exactly what they quoted (actually a little less). No surprises. Great job!

Brandon was professional, friendly, helpful, and efficient. He spent time with me explaining things in a way I could understand. He also gave useful information on our tankless water heater, which wasn't really the reason for the service call (annual furnace inspection and maintenance).

Brandon and Connor came to look at mom's furnace. Very polite gentleman. Told me they might not have the parts to fix an older furnace. They found the problem and was able to fix it in a reasonable amount of time. The price was pretty good for an service call and same day service. At least for today's prices.
