Mike from JA Smith has been here a couple of times for our heating problems this winter, and always explains things to us and does a great job. All of JA Smith folks are great to work with. Thank you all.

My service tech was Rick. He was efficient, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. He was able to fix my issue quickly. My experience was first rate and I would highly recommend JA Smith.

We’ve been customers of JA Smith for over 30 years and have been very happy with them overall. We have had maintenance contracts with them for original systems already existing when we bought our homes and have bought our new systems (heating and air conditioning) with them as well (naturally with the maintenance contracts for them also). We’ve been very happy with the level of customer service overall and hope to stay that way. It’s nice to have that confidence in and comfort level with a company like that. And I like that it’s always been and still is a local family owned business, too.

He worked very carefully during the repair, thoroughly inspected everything, and set it up properly. As a result, much warmer air is now coming out with strong airflow compared to before. I think they are highly skilled. The price feels slightly expensive.

Today I had maintenance done, I want to tell you how much I appreciate Dominic’s professionalism and knowledge . In all the times I had your team out to do maintenance checks , Domenic was the most thorough in not only telling me why it is important to clean the wheel in the minisplit but showed me why. This extra step insured my respect with your company and shows you care about your customers and making sure we understand why it is needed because it is not cheap to do this . He was courteous and very respectful of my house , you have a wonderful employee who has set his own standards high in how he feels about his job thank you

Armando was very knowledgeable. He explained the system, corrected the heater settings and stayed long enough to make sure the system was working properly. I had 3 previous companies try to fix my heater to no avail. Thanks to Armando!

My 15-year old gas heater decided to give out last week during the middle of a very cold winter here this year. Lotsa fun! Everybody that I dealt with at J..A. Smith to get things up and running again were great – big thanks to Amanda. Armondo, Dan, & Darin! Repair prices were quite reasonable – most of all I appreciated no 'hard sell' from anyone. Very professional and highly recommended.

I was very happy to see Rick show up for my no heat call as I’ve worked with him for years and know him to be a very knowledgeable technician. He was very thorough and took the time to explain what he was doing and why. He made sure the heater was running properly before leaving. I would highly recommend Rick!

Tristan and his team answered the call and got me out of a huge jam when no one else would! Tristan came out on a Friday night after normal business hours to help me when another HVAC company screwed up my oil furnace and left me without heat in 20 degrees weather. Tristan was extremely responsive, prompt and communicated in excellent fashion! He and his team could not be more professional and courteous and they have earned my trust in such a short period of time! Even though I needed emergency work done outside normal working hours, pricing was very fair. He even made a follow-up visit to check on something for free. They are really so care and want the best for you the customer. You can tell they take extreme pride in their work. They also went above and beyond to take extra notes, photos and documentation to help me get reimbursed from the company that screwed up my furnace. I can confidently say Lions HVAC can be counted on for fast, fair priced and reliable service. They stand behind their work and they have earned me as a lifelong customer!! I cannot recommend them enough!

Jake was very thorough and knowledgeable! I really appreciated the extra time he took to help me understand, based on how my units function, why my winter months bills were so high. The he was also able to recommend transitioning to an Inverter system when it’s time to replace my unit. Very much appreciated his knowledge and recommendations.

Would definitely recommend Lions. Heater stopped working on a Sunday and was fixed the next day. Had to have gas valve replaced. Pricing seemed fair. Jake was nice, diagnosed the problem quickly and got us back up and running in no time. So if you are like me and are wondering who to call, I would definitely call Lions.

We were very pleased with the professionalism of both Scott and Greg in their work in installing our HVAC system. They made sure our place was clean before they left and went over how both our units worked and also how our new Wifi thermostat functions. We recommend Lions HVAC whole heartedly!!

12/16/25 - Lions cleaned the indoor coil on a heat pump as it was pretty fouled & installed a filter rack after cleaning the return plenum which was pretty dirty. So hopefully that will improve system performance to keep tenants happy.
9/29/25 - Lions serviced two units on a duplex to restore them both to peak performance on short notice.
9/23/25 - Lions found a leak on the suction port of the compressor and fixed it, thus saving me the cost of replacing the outside heat pump unit. I thought I might have to replace the heat pump but Tristan and his crew came through and provided me with a much better solution. That is why I depend on them to service the HVAC in my rental properties. Keep up the good work.
7/17/25 - Quick quality service as always to restore a tenant's AC in peak heat season.
Older - Tristan diagnosed low refrigerant issue and found the source of the leak in a rusted filter dryer. Also, old mercury thermostat called for heat pump and emergency heat at the same time. He replaced the thermostat and is coming back to fix the leak and restore normal system operation. He promptly replies to correspondence, comes when he says, is very skilled HVAC technician, and his charges are reasonable. I use him for multiple investment properties.
August 2024 - Tristan's team installed yet another new heat pump for me. Had a little issue with the condensate after the install and he sent one of his guys out ASAP to take care of it. You can always count on Tristan to stand behind the work that they do. And his quote was way more reasonable than another highly rated company in the area. A truly incredible find these days. Don't even bother shopping around. You get what you pay for, but w/ Tristan you will get high quality at an incredibly reasonable price.

Fantastic team to work with. They listened to my needs and offered several solutions ranked good, better, best. They were honest and advised on what is best for my situation with the best option also being the most economical. When it came time to schedule, they fit me in and had our new boiler/water heater installed within 2 business days. Professional, clean installation work. I couldn't be happier.

Just used Lions Heating and A/C for the 1st time. Getting ready for winter, serviced 3 boilers/gas heaters. Daniel set the appointment and was very friendly. The tech that serviced the properties was Chris. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Explained things about our systems that no other company bothered to mention in the past. Highly recommend. So happy to have this company for our heating needs going forward!

Lions has been great! The technician was on time, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He detailed out how our system was operating and gave us several options on how to improve our system's efficiency. We were given multiple pricing options so we could stay within our budget. We are very happy with their service plans and are switching to Lions for our preventative maintenance. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for service on their HVAC systems.

These guys are the real deal. Tristan and his team are genuine and professional. Lions handled my conversion from oil to natural gas and installed a high efficiency 3 zone boiler system at a reasonable price (no hidden fee's - up-front pricing). The old equipment was removed and they patiently explained how everything worked. I couldn't be more pleased. Thank you again!

Tristan and everyone at Lions Heating and Air conditioning were without a doubt the very best. We were converting from an old oil furnace to a new gas furnace. We had to get PECO to install a gas line to get us service. Lions Heating worked with PECO to get this done. Now we have a wonderful new Air conditioning and Gas Heat for our building in Doylestown. Besides the very best service they came in with the best prices. You need to at least check them out!

Greg was very professional and polite. He was neat and very helpful showing us how to operate the new thermostat. We are glad we went with Lions to install our new heat pump and would definitely recommend them.
