Very good overall experience. The assessment/measuring process went very smoothly, spearheaded by the chief installer Matt who supervised the project throughout. He remained my primary contact. I encountered an unexpected delay in project approval from a very mercurial condo board, and Matt was very helpful in customizing a series of requests for the condo powers-that-be. HB warehoused the windows for the duration of this process, thankfully. Installation was expeditious and done a day. Matt came by after the install to replace a window sash latch that was damaged during installation (and gave me spares) and to caulk a gap that developed after installation. The portal was useful as a chronological history and invoice repository. Marian was always helpful/available to call and to shepherd me through off-handed questions, and I usually got same-day responses from all.

Overall, highly recommended. My condo neighbors also had very good recommendations on their experiences.

Used HB Services for variety of projects in recent months to include a new deck, structure repair, interior painting, electrical and new flooring. Extremely pleased with outcome. All subcontractors were timely and professional. Site coordinator, Sebastian, was informative, timely, responsive and kept us fully informed throughout projects. So pleased, That we now using for additional project, new full house window replacement. Quality of work is excellent and fairly priced. I would highly recommend for any of you home project needs.

HB Home Services did an amazing job on my new Man Cave i cant wait to have family and friends over for the Super bowl. I worked with HB to replace our previous back deck with a larger screened-in porch. I am very pleased with how the project turned out! The project was complicated, but HB coordinated and managed the different parts well. Permitting was challenging and we of course had a couple surprises after beginning construction, but HB was committed and helpful throughout the entire process. A few months ago, we had a positive experience with planning an addition to expand an empty nest to a multi-generational household. Shout out to Johnny, Matt, Anthony, and Marian for straight talk and integrity.

The design process was detailed, iterative, and thorough while discussing the tradeoffs for needs and wants. As an engineer, all of my questions were answered well and without hesitation. Though we need to pause for two years before moving forward with the addition due to personal circumstances, we are confident and comfortable re-engaging with HB when we are ready.

The entire team was just great! I appreciated the design advice and patience. The regular communication was amazing, especially with the project manager once the demolition and construction began - had multiple meetings and received daily texts, updates, and photos. The team's genuine friendliness was remarkable - I felt like they truly cared about me and my project. In addition, I'm thrilled with how my new kitchen and laundry room look! My husband and I hired HB to install windows next to our fireplace where we did not have any, along with lower cabinets below the windows. They also built a room for a gym in our basement. After getting quotes from a few other companies, we chose HB for their competitive prices and the positive interaction during our initial consultation with Daron. He really wanted to gain an understanding of what we wanted and had good ideas to help us figure out a final design. Everyone we worked with throughout the process was very nice and helpful. Any minor issues that arose, Matt our project manager, worked to correct.

HB Home Services built an addition on the back of our house. They were fantastic. We added an extra large bedroom, handicap bathroom, laundry area, and sun room.

They helped us every step of the way, from design to final inspection. This could have been stressful but they took care of all the details and made things happen.

The addition is beautiful and were are very pleased. HB was recommended by a work colleague and they have a well deserved reputation for solid work at a fair price. They never tried to up-sell anything and kept the entire project within the budget. We can absolutely recommend HB Home Services. They are an honest company.

After a good experience in 2020 with our kitchen, we decided to go back to HB for a total home remodel for a home we bought in 2025.

Their business model has drastically changed. All services are now done by sub contractors. This was never disclosed by the company prior to signing my contract. Our project budget was 180,000K.
When you spend that amount of money you should be receiving A+ service. The money became more important then the service and quality. Our sub contractor ( 1 guy ) did 80% of the work by himself and would be at another job 8-430 not arriving to my home until after 5pm working until 10 at night, this was never disclosed to me prior to signing my contract. There were days he didn't show up. Some of the work had to be redone by him 2-3 times.
Grout color in the bathroom, shower floor not draining properly, missed caulking, under cabinet lighting done twice. The painters hired to paint the whole house did such a bad job they fired them and brought a whole second crew in to redo the entire house. There was not one area that did not need attention to.
The flooring sub contractor went MIA before the job was completed. I had to get in contact with the company myself and do a lot of the leg work with ProSource.
You would think Jimmy H one of the owners would have come out to see the job when it was complete after spending almost 200k. Nope haven't heard from him. The priority for them was the SALE but the quality and distress it caused us was left way behind.
I even explained to them in the beginning my husband was sick and we had a certain time frame to be done. That didn't happen. The project lasted from Feb until July and most of the work done after hours not during the normal work day.
None of this disclosed to me before signing a contract.
When we had our kitchen done by them in 2020 we were impressed with their dad's business model all in house employees, someone on site everyday.
It was a full time job for me including several trips the quartz store to design my island without assistance from their designers. I was handling this alone while My husband tried to work while recovering from a year long illness. It was painful it was unfortunate and extremely disappointing to spend almost 200,000K for that kind of service. I often think were they looking at me as a female who wouldn't notice or ask the right questions. I felt very suspect of that after actually living through the amount of work required by me.
We thought we were buying a Porsche but instead got a broken down hardly functioning Buick.
I asked when will I be the priority. I was told who said you weren't a priority. Their actions proved I was never the priority. Never again.

Johnny made the experience an absolute pleasure. The level of professionalism & courtesy was thru the roof. I would 100% recommend him for any future client

Miguel was the project manager and Alex was the lead contractor on my home project. We had new support columns installed on our portico and outside our kitchen bay windows. We added midway a reconstruct of our garage door frame work and garage door. Miguel was informative, adaptive to my concerns and was very hands-on making sure the crew had the right materials. His regular visits and our interactions were always positively informative. Alex's craftsmanship was topnotch. He always greeted either my wife or I with great positivity and kept us informed on his tasks for the day. If I had a question, Alex was attentive to explain immediately. During the garage door install by a sub-contractor, a few issues arose, and Miguel was timely in response and Alex upon arrival, worked diligently to minimize delay. We are happy with the project results and this is our second time using HB. I highly recommend HB and team Miguel/Alex. Thank you!

HB Homes did two projects for us - built me a small office nook so I could finally move out of the dining room and have a dedicated space to work from home. It's perfect! And then they helped us turn our screened porch into a 3-4 season room and connected it to our dining room. The center piece is a 9 ft folding glass door that opens up the space for larger indoor gatherings. The quality of the work is fantastic! The new spaces look amazing. And you will not find a better worker than Alex - his diligence, skill, demeanor, and results are second to none. Thank you HB!

This was the most unprofessional contracting experience I’ve had. Poor workmanship, poor communication, inaccurate billing.

We hired this company in early November to redo a pantry. The scope of work was straightforward: center a door frame and install 270-degree shelving. Because Thanksgiving was approaching, I explicitly told them that if they could not complete the job before the holiday, I would postpone the project. They insisted multiple times that it would take three days.

From the beginning communication was poor. The sales representative Johnny, who is unresponsive and rude when he finally does respond only after making the sale, did not clearly convey the scope of work. That forced me to re-explain the project in detail onsite to the project manager, Phil who's actually nice but doesn't have the labor talent pool to get the job done. After that walkthrough, I did not hear from the company for the rest of the day. Work did not actually begin until about a week later.

By day 9 of what was supposed to be a 3-day project, only the door frame had been moved, but tile repair and cleanup were left unfinished. At this point, we had already paid 25% of the total cost. I withheld further payment until progress was made.

When shelf installation began, the support trim was installed at 19-inch spacing instead of 18 inches. I could have tolerated 17 but 19 made the top shelf unusable due to ceiling clearance. This had to be removed and redone.

Around days 12–13, they began installing hardwood oak shelving. At that point, the installers discovered the pantry was not perfectly square. Instead of properly measuring and sanding or trimming the shelves, they began cutting into the drywall to force the boards to fit, without even discussing with me.

I had explicitly warned the project manager that angled cuts were required in the corners to avoid visible seams due to rounded shelf edges. Despite acknowledging this, the installers cut 90-degree notches anyway. After the first mistake, I had come back and showed them the only workable design. They then ruined the remaining material by making inaccurate cuts, marking only the top of the boards and cutting an extra inch deep on the underside because they used circular saws.

On day 14, I terminated the contract.

On day 15, I ordered replacement hardwood shelving myself, from Colonial Hardoods. By day 21, I had completed the entire project alone, including trimming, finishing, and sealing, despite curing time preventing full pantry use before Thanksgiving.

After being fired, the company sent a final invoice that exceeded the original quote, despite completing less work. I flagged the billing error and was told by Phil it would be corrected. We then heard nothing for over two months. After that silence, they again attempted to collect more than the original quoted amount.

This project missed deadlines by weeks, required rework due to basic errors, caused property damage, and resulted in inaccurate billing. I would not recommend them, save yourself the headaches.

HB home services placed a legal window in our basement to make a legal 4 th bedroom. Alex was respectful of our home, proficient, and communicated well. Matt the project manager was timely for inspections. Would definitely recommend this company.
