Great design and quality workmanship.

DMV remodeled three and half bathrooms, a large kitchen and replaced flooring throughout our 2,800 sf elevated home. The outcome surpassed our expectations. Dean has provided great ideas for the design and material selection, understanding our tastes and limitations. His craft teams are excellent, good to work with, deliver quality work and keep the workplace clean. The work was completed to the initial price for installation and the allowances for materials, fixtures and fittings for this large job have proved to be accurate. As is common with this type of work, issues arise. Dean has always responded positively and addressed them to our satisfaction, but the work did extend beyond the initial time estimate.

We felt from our first conversation with Dean that he and his team were going to be the correct choice for our very large remodel. He proved us right. His genuine care and concern for our home and our well-being during the renovation was nothing less than wonderful and held up to everything he promised.

We were told what to expect each step of the way, so we were prepared, and Dean checked in very frequently to ensure our expectations were being met. From the planning to the demolition, to the rebuilding and final details, the extraordinary high level of workmanship, organization and cleanliness were upheld. I’m not sure anyone else would have matched this type of care and consideration.

DMV Kitchen & Bath did an amazing job replacing my guest bathtub shower combo and the surround! The quoted me within my budget, but gave me the freedom to buy my own bathtub and tile so that I could get the coloring and textures that I wanted and meet the style and flow of the rest of my home. They said 4 days, and even working around the long holiday weekend, my project was completed in just 4 days. They were all very professional, easy to talk to, and were only a text message away when I had a question. They cleaned up every day and always asked my permission to store supplies overnight until the next day. I can't wait to try out the guest bath tomorrow night!

We are absolutely thrilled with the work DMV Kitchen and Bath did on our bathroom. We needed a space that would allow for aging in place, combining both safety and convenience without sacrificing style. They not only met our expectations but exceeded them in every way.
The new ADA-compliant shower is a game changer. The zero entry (flush threshold) makes entry effortless & the multiple thoughtfully placed and securely anchored grab bars provide stability & peace of mind. The plumbing fixtures were arranged to create a beautiful, functional space that is a pleasure to use.
They also installed a comfort height toilet that is perfect for anyone with mobility issues, and the bidet seat is an added bonus. What truly impressed us was the attention to detail, like the towel bars that are installed to double as grab bars. I hired DMV Kitchen & Bath for a complete renovation of my outdated garage/efficiency apartment. They updated it completely with a custom kitchen, a wonderful breakfast area, and an amazing coffee bar, in addition to a full remodel of the bathroom with a custom shower and vanity.
Dean and his team helped me through the whole process, and came up with a fantastic design with blueprints that I could use to envision my future space. Dean proved to be instrumental in selecting all of the finishing touches from the flooring and backsplash to the countertops and cabinets.
One of my most appreciated improvements was a new island that includes a dishwasher, garbage disposal, and garbage pull-out—conveniences that were lacking in old layout.
My new redesigned space allows me to accommodate guests; even though it is a small space, it is very comfortable.
Most importantly, everything was done in a professional manner.

I recently worked with DMV Kitchen & Bath on a full kitchen remodel, and overall we are very very happy with the outcome. The project involved knocking down a wall to open up our small kitchen and formal dining room into one large, cohesive kitchen and eating space. The project is now complete, and the transformation is incredible, I truly have my dream kitchen!
The craftsmanship really deserves a special mention. The tile work was exceptional, and the hand-built cabinets are amazing, they’re one of my favorite features in the kitchen.
At the start of your project you’ll have the chance to meet the DMV team, and I can say from experience that they’re knowledgeable, personable, and dedicated to doing quality work. Everyone who came into our home was respectful, skilled, and communicative. Jonny, who managed our project, was a fantastic point of contact and made the experience more seamless by coordinating everything and keeping us in the loop.
Dean met me multiple times on weekends to go look at different materials and found amazing paint colors that I loved. He really helped my bring my vision to life!
There were some electrical and paint issues cropped up during the work, BUT DMV stood behind their work and ensured everything was resolved to our satisfaction. I appreciated how responsive the team was to my questions and how willing they were to address concerns. When I requested a custom cabinet paint color that didn’t come out quite right due to a texture issue as the paint was drying, they took the time to fix it. When our ceiling didn’t come out looking flat due to the structure of our older home, Dean stepped in, corrected it with a textured finish (which he had initially advised), and it turned out beautifully.
DMV stayed respectful of the budget and collaborated with us to find creative and effective solutions when unexpected issues came up, something that’s especially important in a 56-year-old home like ours!
There were minor hiccups along the way, as with any renovation, but DMV made sure that everything was made right in the end.

After a pipe leak caused unexpected damage, we hired DMV for a full bathroom remodel—and we’re really glad we did. The quality of the work was outstanding. Every tradesperson involved—from the tile installer to the plumbers, painters, and drywall crew—was professional, skilled, and detail-oriented.

A special thanks to Dean from DMV, who helped us reimagine the space during the design phase. His input made a big difference in both the look and functionality of the final result.

The project budget did grow from the originally discussed numbers. That said, the craftsmanship and support we received made it a worthwhile investment. Highly recommend DMV if you’re looking for a team that delivers quality and stands behind their work.

I chose DMV for a whole-home remodel after consulting three other companies. Having run into some pitfalls and learned some lessons with a bath remodel two years prior, I was uneasy with the six-figure scope of this project. I am detail-oriented and expect near-perfection, so I was tough on Dean in our initial meetings throughout the process. Dean called these wire-brushings. My fears were unfounded as DMV knocked our project out of the park.

Dean had us recolor our ceilings, a detail I would have overlooked and a crucial alteration which made the entire project pop. The primary focus was the kitchen as it is an open-concept floor plan. DMV did 2,200 sq. ft. of floor tile and installed an exceptional stone quarry on the walls. Jonny built us white oak beams and ceiling inserts that turned out fantastic. All windows were upgrades and all doors were replaced by custom solid wood with Craftsman trim.

Dean allowed our vision to come to life. He added input where needed and guided us around the inevitable issues created by our home’s layout. DMV’s design process included complete drawings, material and countertop selections, paint consultations, and custom millwork. Jonny, the site supervisor, made daily visits to ensure cleanliness and helped with furniture and our two Great Danes. DMV built a zippered enclosure around the demo to limit inconveniences. Dean and Jonny even came to check in on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day.

Dean met and often exceeded my expectations. Remodeling is difficult on many levels and DMV assisted in all. If you’re looking to do a complete kitchen and bath renovation, I strongly recommend that you reach out to Dean and the DMV crew.

We chose DMV Kitchen and Bath over others for our primary bathroom remodel. Their price was comparable to other quotes but we chose DMV because Dean was straight with us and easy to work with. He helped us design an amazing bathroom allowing us to pick items that compliment the existing tile floor and vanities. Our toughest decision was on paint colors. After we slapped a few sample colors on the wall, Dean "NO" to all. He knew the perfect color to make the room and he was absolutely right. The bathroom is now tranquil and spa like.

The whole team did a fantastic job, they protected the floors and cabinets, cleaned up after each day. Jonny was the lead for the work and coordinated with all the right folks to keep the job moving along, and kept us in the loop. Vic the tile guy did great work with the tiles in the shower. Cody painted, fixed trim, and cut and installed wood pole. Cesar the electrician got new lights and sconces installed quickly and installed dimmer switches to allow my wife to set the ambience in the room for her long baths.

Overall we are very satisfied with the work DMV did for us. It took a little longer then planned to complete (5 weeks instead of 3-4). We are still waiting for the frameless shower glass to get installed, but should be next week.

They all really did an outstanding job! My wife says Dean is a mind reader for the color he chose for the walls.

I have to start this review by admitting that I am a nervous wreck when it comes to work done on our house in general. As first-time remodelers, that feeling was amplified ten-fold. However, I am grateful we found Dean and the team at DMV.

We initially got in touch with Dean in April of this year. We had talked to a couple other companies before speaking with Dean, but did not feel we were on the same page with the other folks. Dean made us feel heard and understood, and his reviews of past work were indisputable, so we knew he was our guy!

We had an idea of the colors and finishes we wanted to use, but Dean made great recommendations for items such as more cost-effective tile alternatives from his supplier, countertop and custom vanity ideas, as well as a more practical layout for our previously awkwardly spaced bathroom.

After receiving the final estimate and a very impressive 3D design concept, the demo began late June. This was the part I was most nervous about, but the demo process was shockingly clean - Jonny arrived early with a tow-away dumpster trailer and to install plastic barriers, and by the end of the day our bathroom was a blank slate!

Watching Dean’s folks rebuild the bathroom over the next 13 weeks was fascinating to me, and I am sure I drove everybody a little nutty with my questions and peeks into the progress. But the entire crew was respectful, accommodating, and clearly masters at their craft. It was a relieving feeling to know I could take my hands off the wheel and “trust the process,” as Dean likes to say. Big shout-out to Jonny, Scott, Victor, Cody, Brian, Lee, and the rest of the crew!

There were unexpected delays with cabinetry, and then glass hardware, but Dean and team worked efficiently to restore usefulness of our bathroom before the project was fully-wrapped. Toward the end of reconstruction, we had an unexpected plumbing drain line issue. I texted Dean at 6:00 am. By 8:00 am, Lee (plumber) arrived on the scene to fix the minor issue, and you would never know anything happened. I was very grateful for their professionalism and responsiveness, and proof that they will make any problem right!

We were so impressed with early progress on the bathroom that we contracted Dean for some sorely needed kitchen updates. We were on a strict budget, and Dean made targeted recommendations in the kitchen to maximize our return. WOW did it make an impact! I sent photos of the new kitchen to the previous homeowner and they didn’t even recognize it was their old house.

Our family is very grateful for our reimagined spaces, and ready to thoroughly enjoy them. Thank you again Dean and DMV crew!
