Dan, Fred and the entire Beautiful Basement crew were wonderful. The craftsmanship in our basement remodel was top notch. The crew was like part of the family. Each item was done completely right with detail explanation . I learn a lot just by talking to each crew member. I highly recommend this wonderful company.

Beautiful Basements did an amazing job finishing our basement. Dan was so professional and thorough with helping us design our dream basement and very prompt with communication. Don and Kris were the primary workers at our house and they were incredibly professional, respectful, and always efficient. We would highly recommend Beautiful Basements to anyone and would hire them back without question for any other projects.

I contacted Dan (the owner) for a quote regarding basement/foundation repair, and he returned my calls the same day. Not only was his return call prompt and helpful, Dan patiently explained what was likely wrong, how it could be fixed, and why/how I could save money in the process. He even recommended a different contractor who was more experienced in the services I needed. Dan was the ultimate professional: concerned more about quality of service than his bottom line. Wholehearted recommendation.

We had an amazing experience working with Beautiful Basements to finish out basement this past July. Dan is great, and extremely thorough in all that he does. His estimation process is completely transparent, and his pricing is very competitive. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and quality of work performed by Beautiful Basements.

We finished approximately 80% of our basement--leaving some unfinished spaces for storage. Dan provided the perfect layout for a living space, home gym, and full bath and we worked with Fred, and Mark to piece it all together. Fred and Mark kept the project on schedule and made several awesome suggestions as they worked to help us minimize soffits, arrange for custom in-wall shelving, and maximize the overall living space.

We then worked with Don and Kris to close out the project. Finish work can be very time consuming and extremely tedious. I'll be honest--paint day can be scary. I have seen botched paint jobs in other houses first-hand due to poor prep. I was absolutely blown away and very pleased with the amount of time that Don and Kris spent prepping before even picking up a brush. These two had their work cut out installing shiplap and custom shelving in multiple rooms and they handled it to perfection.

Dan and his team are true professionals. They were always available to answer our questions and flex when small adjustments were needed. If I had to do it all over again there is no doubt in my mind that I would bring them back. Thank you very much for bringing our vision to reality!

Dan and the crew are very nice people and good at their craft. They finished our basement (studs, drywall, carpet, paint, trim, baseboards, spray paint the ceiling). Larger projects will always have some speed bumps but Dan was professional and reasonable about finding a solution. The work is quality and the price was fair - would recommend!

I can't begin to express how amazing it was to work with Dan and his team over at Beautiful Basements. From the first initial visit until after the completion of the project everything was smooth and very professional. I had a basement that I constantly joked with my wife about seeing if we could just fill it in with concrete to now having a basement that me and my entire family want to spend time in.

Here are a couple of the many things that made Beautiful Basements such a great company to work with:

1. The crew was great. Fred, Johnny, Mark, Devon and everyone else that came around were the most professional contractors I have ever witnessed. As a matter of fact, my kids came home every day from school excited to tell Johnny how their day of school was and what they learned. When I ask them how school was I usually just get "fine". Not Johnny! He would get a full rundown. Also, at the end of the day the crew would come up to pet my dog who patiently watched them go in and out of the house all day.
2. Communication. From the first visit Dan was so easy to communicate with and did whatever he could to make the process of having a construction crew in our house. We added a new baby to our family during the time when our basement was being worked on. Dan was super flexible and even offered to hold work for a few days after the baby was born (we declined because the crew was so great to work with)
3. Quality. Beautiful Basements was able to do the work that we wanted done. Other companies that I had come over to look at the basement didn't want to do different things that we really wanted done (bathroom remodel, stairs rebuilt). Not only did they get those things done but the did a great job.

I could probably list off a thousand other great things but it has taken me 2.5 months to write this review already (you can blame the baby on that). I will post before and after pics as soon as we get everything furnished.

This was our first time working with a contractor and could not have had a better experience. Dan and team were incredibly patient as I navigated budget and design. They were transparent and honest with cost, did not continue to add as time went on. They were prompt and checked in daily to guarantee our satisfaction. I am very particular with who we hire for home services and would recommend this team all day, looking forward to working with them on a basement remodel in next couple years. Thank you for such a great experience and helping make our basement look incredible!

Dan was one of several contractors that came to look at our basement. He was very professional and knowledgeable and my husband and I liked him immediately. His quote was very detailed and with it he provided proof that he was licensed, bonded and insured. I am not sure how Dan would have described our basement that day, but in my opinion it was a pit, a challenging pit. My husband had completely demolished the finished side-ceiling, walls, fireplace bricks and ripped up the carpet. Our home is old, so the foundation is clay tiles and we have knob and tube wiring. In addition our home has a center chimney, which sunk sometime after construction, 80 years ago. All floors slope toward the chimney and in the basement it is impossible to make the ceiling level. Despite all this, Don, Fred and Jonny turned our pit into a beautiful, functional living space. We have new windows and walls, a lovely plank ceiling, improved lighting, a door to the utility side that actually closes and a fabulous tile job (thanks Don), that makes the fireplace a focal point.
During the entire process communication was excellent. Work had to be stopped several times due to other work that needed to be done in the basement, and Dan could not have been more accommodating. I highly recommend Beautiful Basements. You will not be disappointed.

Speechless! Dan and the entire team at Beautiful Basements surpassed every expectation we had for not only finishing our basement, but what we expected in dealing with contractors overall! We cannot recommend them enough.
From creative design, addressing changes decided along the way, the crew daily, the final project completion, etc. Everything was fantastic. Additionally, the crew and subcontractors we dealt with daily in our home were top notch. Courteous, clean, professional and pleasant not only for me but my entire family!
Dan's plans were spot on. He truly maximized the space and had brilliant design ideas to highlight the various rooms they created in the basement. We settled on two hidden storage rooms, a bathroom, a very large TV/hangout area, bar area and a fully enclosed gorgeous home gym. The entire way Dan showed us exactly what he could do in the space...even ensuring that a wine storage area could be added later by designing the space to be hidden and later opened up for building that when we decide.
We are just over the moon happy with how it all turned out and every single person who has seen it has been blown away! If you are looking to finish your basement and are in the northern Ohio area, look no further than Dan and the entire gang at Beautiful Basements!!!

I had my basement recently finished by Dan and his team and we couldn’t be happier. Dan is very friendly and came out rather quick for an initial estimate. The pricing was very competitive and he even broke down the individual pricing for the material. I have not seen this with other contractors as you just get a bottom line price but this is very detailed and very helpful when reviewing pricing.

Dan’s team started on time and was dedicated to get the project done quick and without cutting corners. Don and Devin were the (2) main team members working on my basement. They were very friendly, polite and great craftsmen. They provided daily updates and were always on time. They also discussed smaller details with me to ensure it was exactly as I wanted it (for example, where to add TV mounting inside the wall). I would highly recommend Dan and his team for any projects you have.

Dan and his crew were great to work with right from the time of scheduling to finish. The crew was punctual, professional and communicated well throughout the project. Special recognition goes to Mark for managing the project well and his team for paying attention to detail. The quality of work was top notch and the whole experience was hassle free! Dan's crew is awesome. They are mid-price level, specialize on the basement renovations and do an excellent job at at. They did our basement. Now it looks like the prettiest part of our house. They work quickly but do not cut corners. It is useful to ask them for advice since they have been at it for awhile and now what works.

Everyone on his team is a pleasure to interact with. Dan keeps track of all the little details. How this stays in his head amazes me. Fred tells it like it is and is an excellent source for advice and wisdom. Mark puts up with all the extra work that we put on him and then goes around and fixes tiny little imperfections that I would have overlooked. Don looks like Billie Bob Thornton in his prime and can do just about anything from tile laying, window installing to siding work. Dave quietly gets the job done.

Dan has cracking crews of plumbers and electricians that seem to appear at just the right time to get the whole project running smoothly.

Dan Ringer and Beautiful Basements did a fantastic job with our basement project. It was a full finish of a large, rough basement in a 96-year-old house, including a finished den, a laundry/utility space, and a separate space for a woodshop, and not only did it turn out great, but it was done in just a few short weeks. The workers were very friendly and arrived promptly every workday. Dan is very knowledgeable and knew exactly which questions to ask to make our vision a reality. Wholeheartedly recommended for anyone in the area.

A few months ago, we made the decision to have our basement finished. We needed the space and I was tired of referring to it as the basement or the dungeon.. we even eventually tried to paint it white and put area rugs down for the toys but nothing helped so we committed to having a company come in and make it beautiful…

It was an intimidating venture to start until I met Dan. Then everything changed. His goal from the beginning was to create a functional, entertaining family space and he understood the assignment. He was right on point with my vision while applying his expertise and knowledge to transform our unfinished basement into our now favorite place in our home.
