Chris is trust-worthy, hard working, thorough, detail-oriented, and skilled. This made our project successful, as low stress as possible, on budget, and on time.

Not only did he build good report with my family, but he is obviously well liked and respected by his subcontractors and our city inspector (I can’t even fathom how much this helped our project to go smoothly!). We even received positive feedback from our neighbors regarding how his crew kept our lot clean and tidy, and about how they did not hear loud or crass talk coming from the site.

We have now spent 6 months living in our remodel/addition and we couldn’t be happier – and Chris has continued to be available and quick to respond to any questions or issues that arise.

I couldn’t be more enthusiastic in my recommendation.

My mom is a resident in Huntington Beach, CA and owns a home that my father and her owned for over 48 years. It was in need of a significant remodel. Since my Dad's passing, my wife and I helped my mom interview and screen several contractors. We went through many but when we met Chris Riggins, along with checking out his references, he was definitely the one we picked out of a dozen plus that we met.

Are we glad we went with Chris. He had superior craftsman, not day laborers work on the entire overhaul of the house. This home was built in the 1950s, but on the inside looks like it is a 2018 custom build. Chris and his team were honest, hard working, extremely responsive to a few change requests and went above and beyond to exceed my mom's expectations.

The woodwork, the flooring, ceiling, dry wall, custom shelving and removal of old walls, created an entirely different space. It is nice to see there are still people that treat their craft like an art and is if they are working on their own home. My mom came to live with my family during the construction, and I should say that Chris and his foreman met with us regularly on progress, offered insightful and creative suggestions to enhance the final outcome and delivered the finished product on schedule.

Chris was a few dollars more than the other contractors, but the old adage is true, "you get what you pay for." Chris Riggins and his team exceeded our expectations. He had specialists for every phase of the project and they have been with him for years. This inspired confidence because we knew that close knit, highly skilled and engaged professionals were working on my mom's house... and it showed.

Thanks Chris! When I remodel my house in Orange County, after what you delivered for my mom, I will definitely be giving you a call...

Chris Riggins Construction just completed our master bath remodel and we are very pleased with the outcome and the process. Chris’ hallmark is reliability, and that was evident from the get-go when he showed up early for his appointment to scope the project. His bid followed shortly thereafter. The project started on schedule with work being done every day. Chris was on-site every morning to orient the “crew of the day.” He personally performed carpentry work which was remarkably precise. The door he installed from scratch is the best fitting one in my whole house! His subs were also highly skilled, professional, and showed up on schedule. Chris was very good with maintaining a line of communication so that we knew what was going to be done and when. His work quality was known and appreciated by our local building inspector which never hurts. The project was finished on-schedule and on-budget. Suffice it to say, we would highly recommend Chris Riggins Construction.

We selected Chris Riggins Constructions for our house renovation. We were immediately impressed by the professionalism from Chris and all of his team. Every detail was observed, ideas were shared as a team, and the quality of the work could not have been better.

We were updated via web images while we were away from the construction for two months. It was great having people working in our house that we could trust to do a great job. Schedules were shared with us and we had no problem getting approvals by the city.

In essence, we felt that Chris and his team were working to create a home for us and not just working on a project. They always took a homeowners perspective at every stage.

We would certainly use Riggins again and would highly recommend them to others looking for top notch constructions and customer service.

We used Chris Riggins Construction to remodel/update several areas of our home. From the front door "refresh" to the kitchen remodel, every aspect of the project (no matter how small or large) was handled with the utmost care and close attention to detail. We really felt that Chris and Beau cared about the project as if they were working on their own homes. In fact, they went above and beyond to learn our tastes and preferences so that they could use their years of experience to help create a space that far exceeded our expectations.. and we are picky! Every member of the Chris Riggins team is a perfectionist and an absolute pleasure to work with. They are truly the best!

Chris and his team just remodeled 3 bathrooms for us. Always on time, always high quality work, exceeded all expectations. A GC is only as good as the subcontractors and they were all highly skilled and reliable. Plus Chris referred us to excellent interior designers who helped with color and material decisions. Based on our experience you can’t go wrong with Chris Riggins.

I wanted to get work done on my kitchen to expand it because I love cooking and spend most of my time in the kitchen. Everything ended up coming out amazing, from the design of the remodel, to the expanded pantry. I couldn't be happier with how it went to decide on everything, to how long it at took to finish.

There was a leak from an adjoining unit, Brandon came by & detected moisture in my unit. They quickly dried out area & reconstructed it back to normal. Patrick did great work, very thorough & professional. Brandon returned to do a final inspection. It was an unfortunate situation but I’m happy with the results!

Hands down best on the island. I can't say enough about these guys. From the start they helped me match my project to my budget without sacrificing the finish I was looking for. The materials used were quality leaving me with a beautiful shower for years to come.
The teams were clean and respectful and not at all intrusive. I even learned alot as they kept me updated through the project. 100% recommended

Their service was just sub par. Not horrible, but definitely not great. Took 2 weeks just for them to actually send me an email to schedule something. Before that it was all through text message. Finally got something scheduled, then the online forms they wanted me to sign didn't work.
I was very clear with them that the guy coming would need to bring a tall ladder for the job. Instead, they get here and have no ladder, expecting ME to provide a 20 ft tall ladder???
They had to wait for another job to finish up and asked if they could come back the next day to finish. Mind you, they already were a day late for some personal issue of the painter (which I did not resent), but I just wanted the job finished.
They said they put 2 coats on...I don't believe them. There is quite a few spots where the original paint is showing through...but I was NOT about to go through scheduling them to come back and fix it. I paid just to be done with it.
Like I said...not bad...but is it so hard to communicate clearly, be professional, show up on time, and bring the supplies needed for the job??

I came back from house sitting for a month to find my guest bathroom with waste water leaking through the tile surround, wall, ceiling, and light fixture. Kaipo from Island Restoration responded promptly and was able to remediate the issue. They coordinated with multiple floors and units to fix the issue. They were on time, professional, courteous, and clean. Because they were so quick on the job and explained things well, they resolved the issue quickly and before it became a much larger problem.

On 19Oct22 the men of Island Residential Services completed very beautiful work at our home (see attached photo).

Master Carpenter (Marlon) is 45 days new to Hawai'i. Here something we found about Marlon early on in our build. When Marlon has his earbuds in, leave him alone and prepared to be amazed. His work is nothing short of what I consider master class execution. Razor sharp with clean lines, rock solid framing, and near perfect 90-degree angles. Marlon was always on time to the job site, dressed appropriately in company uniform, and very respectful. We are having more work done to our house and we are requesting Marlon to do the work. If you have the privilege of Marlon working on your house and you feel like buying him lunch for the awesome work, his is sure to do. L&L bbq mixed plate is the only way to go. He was absolutely blown away with their food. Also, put some water in the fridge for Marlon. This dude drinks lots of water when he's working.

Mad Scientist (Sean) owns Island Residential Services. From the beginning to the end of the process, Sean was very involved. His attention to detail was clearly evident during the planning process as Sean meticulously took measurements, developed architect level drafts, and scribed the end state on the wall for a more accurate visual. He was involved throughout the process ensuring quality or work, cleanliness/organization of the jobsite, and ensured the project was on schedule. Before securing Island Residential Services under contract, we spoke with other contractors as any homeowner should. Long story short, had my wife and I not done more independent research, we would have been ripped off and that is not a BS story. Sean came in extremely honest with his approach while refusing to sugarcoat any part of the build, products, or cost.

Sean and his crew were great! They used quality to replace the stairs and railing to the back entrance of our house, that was wearing out and becoming a hazard. They were professional and had great customer service. They answered all of my parent’s questions about the process and were timely in the completion of the project. Amazing work!
