A representative came to my house to see the scope of my landscape project. He said he would get back to me. I did not hear back from him after a week so I emailed him. Did not receive a reply. I called the company directly. They had my contact info and details about the project. The person I spoke to was surprised I hadn't heard from the first person and assured me they would get back to me in a couple of hours.
It's now been several days and I haven't heard back from anyone! Guess they don't need my business. Guess I won't be contacting them again.

April 13 2020, had shavery brothers came out to install new turf, After about a week the new turf was turning brown! We called and was spoke to some woman and she told us we do need to water the turf. Ummm well it has been watered. It’s rained for almost a week after this junk turf was installed. Also we have an automatic sprinkler system so it’s being watered! Called a month later. Stated new turf is getting worst more spots and drying out around the edges. Called them complained called and asked if someone would come to Look at it never came. Today April 2021. Owner shows up at our door, apparently he’s been here lots of times without us knowing because he stated yard was a mess ect? Well we have not been home for about 2 months. He just decided to come to our home invite himself into our yard and look around a few times. Wow the nerve!!! So today he decided to come by again. We are home. This time it’s about the Bill. Well we told your company that know one comes out to see the junk turf that was installed so until that happens we aren’t paying. Well the owner showed up. ( NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL). he was mad let’s just say. To the point I had to call the cops. Because he decide to get in my boyfriends face!!! So I had to call 911. I wouldn’t not recommend anyone get any work done with this company ever. Bad business, no professionalism at all. Showed up with another worker. Just saying. Very bad.

What a pleasure it was working with Matt, Tom, Steve, Hansel and the entire Shalvey team this fall. The Shalvey crew completely transformed our backyard in five short weeks. Before installing our patio, fire pit and seating wall, Stevie and his crew leveled our yard, expertly removing boulder after boulder and laying the groundwork for a dry-well. They then handed over the project to Shalvey’s masonry team, who carefully installed the patio, then built the fire pit and seating wall.

From start to finish, Shalvey’s team was professional, knowledgeable, organized, communicative, friendly and flexible. Matt did an expert job project managing - from material delivery to handing off the project from one crew to the next - everything was seamless and we could not have asked for a better experience.

Got moved up in the schedule and we were pleasantly surprised at our project underway upon our return from vacation. The paved driveway is very pleasing; not only to us, but the many who have walked past and commented on its beauty. The real reason for the project: poor drainage. The promise from John, that this issue would be solved, was right on. We have used Shalvey Bros. in the past and will continue to recommend them to friends and family.

So let me tell you how careless this company is. They plowed a condo parking lot across from me during a snow storm today and thought it was a good idea to take the snow and push it into my front yard and make it impossible for me to park in front of my own house. When I called multiple times to have the problem taken care of I got no response until I texted the number with pictures of what they did. At that point I got a response and whoever it was said it would get taken care of. Well they came by alright and moved the snow only to leave giant ice boulders in front of my driveway blocking my car in. Stay away from this place at all costs. Definitely a bunch of shady people.

Had Shalvey Bros replace all shrubs and plants in flower bed and repoint brick foundation on a home we rent. The shrubs that they installed were not the same shrubs that we asked for. Instead they installed cheap plants and shrubs that attract bees and insects. The masonry work was poorly done with areas around the house they still require mortar repair. Poor workmanship and not an honest company.

Ignorant, they come to do a fall clean up and block all the cars in on the property and then they run their mouth when you ask them to move. Only one person speaks spanglish. Rhode Island Department Of Labor And Training needs to look into their licenses and if the employees are being payed under the table or receive a check.
