I wish I could give them a rating better than 5 !! The father and son did some commercial property work for us this past Easter Weekend. Half of our shopping center was without power. Bobby and his father gave up their Easter Sunday , working hard to get our power back on by 8:30 pm Sunday night !!!! Words can't express their efforts and concerns for us and the tenants impacted. I highly recommend this business.

I had a project at my house I needed to be done. I wasnt sure who to call. I usually do not pay much attention to online reviews, but I read the reviews from Polk Electric and decided to give them a call. Their technician came out and did a fantastic job, super friendly and professional. I highly recommend Polk Electric for any of our electrical needs.

I just relocated my 75 year older mother back to Rock Hill. We bought an adorable 81 year old bungalow near Winthrop. Polk Electric began work the day after we closed on the house and we trusted them with a key to complete the extensive work while none of lived in town.Bobby Polk called me daily to provide updates on the work. Polk Electric completed all scoped work within the time committed. My contractor came back in to check double check Polk's work and he confirmed Polk did excellent work. I highly recommend Polk Electric to do your work as they can be trusted to go above and beyond to ensure quality affordable work.

We have been renovating our home for a few years now and updating and upgrading the electrical seemed like a daunting task until we called Polk Electric. They sent Kirby out to our house and we fell in love with him. Not only does he know his stuff, he is friendly and helpful. We have had Kirby come back 2 more times to do additional work for us because we know we can trust him to be fair and honest. We are very happy with our service!

Leaving 3 stars because they did good work in one of the worst times with a tree falling on our house because of the hurricane but it's just kind of disappointing that I had a trashcan right there beside where they were working and they just left their trash on the side of the house. It's not much just some boxes, tape and cut black and white wires and little manual that comes with box they installed. I know our place looks a bit of a mess cause of the storm but just kind of disappointing to have to clean up after them. They also ripped the fence off the house without saying anything to me. Which i'm to be understanding of it all if it was in the way just it would of been nice to at least tell me that too when I spoke to them. Maybe I'm nitpicking about something small but I don't need more wires and trash to clean up than what we already got from this storm 😭

Update:
Im updating my rating as Polk finally reached out to me and explained a mixup they had with my contact info. Once they sorted that out, they scheduled the job and performed the requested work. I was happy with the work performed and the install looks great.

After waiting 2 weeks to have someone come and survey a job for me I never heard back from them with a quote. I then called back to ask for the quote and was told they would call me back. A month later and nothing.

Von and the crew (Alex, Mobley, and Billy) were pleasant to have in our home, gave me great advice and performed the extensive work
I needed done while helping us maintain electricity to the things we need to keep a fairly normal life. I’d recommend them to anyone. In short- great planning, great installation work and the crew had a great esprit de cours

UPDATE***Below you will see I had left a good review in good faith and with the thought that Billy and Von would complete the work they said they would return to finish. But unfortunately I have not heard from them since and they have not followed through. Disappointing. Be cautious when using Polk Electric, I think they are not intentionally a bad company but it disappoints me that these employees didn't follow through.

The mark of a really good company is one that takes responsibility, shows integrity and stands behind their work. This was Polk Electric. Not going to lie, we had a rough start, but they committed to making things right and to our satisfaction. They managed to complete the work just as we had hoped. Von and Billy are very knowledgeable, professional and maintained a good attitude in spite of the challenges. Clyde Polk wasn't a passive owner, he called us directly and assured they would meet our expectation or I was to give him a call back. Good job Polk Electric, I will call again.

As a Realtor, I always need a licensed electrician! When we ran into an issue with a tight turnaround, my trusted Home Inspector recommended Polk. Mary and the Polk Electric Crew went above & beyond for my clients! They were able to get to the property the morning before our closing and had the issue repaired same day. They were prompt & reasonable, wonderfully friendly and local!

Open to public, but not much on the shelves. Biggest issue was finding the door to get in. Felt stupid having to walk through the office part before getting to the store. The main door is actually on the side of the building with City Entrance on the awning. Had what I asked for though. So use them, just be aware it's not a regular type of store.

We just happened by this place while out looking for lighting, and I'm so glad we did! The style was exactly what we were looking for and Mary Kathryn was very helpful. She went out of her way to make we quickly got exactly what we were looking for and even gave us us some great additional recommendations for elsewhere.

Came in with my mother to look at light fixtures and was greeted rudely by the receptionist as soon as we walked in the door. Not friendly nor professional. Sure hope it wasn't because of our brown skin. I'm sure there are better business in the Rock Hill area that has better customer service with a better selection of fixtures. Our money, time, and presence are just as valuable.
