Outstanding customer service to set up the appointment with the engineer. Carlos arrived and was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about the inspection done. We recommend Entek, and Carlos, to anyone who needs a structural engineer.

We recently found standing water under our house and we’re concerned about the foundation and drainage. I called Entek based on the good reviews and I was not disappointed. They had quick and convenient appointment times and Carlos seemed like a real expert. He answered all our questions and quickly sent the report after our appointment. I would highly recommend Entec.

Carlos was amazing! He was the one well rated engineer I could find to come out to my area all the way in Bells, TX. He came out and was very honest about what he thought our potential purchase home condition was in. The sellers were quoted 20k for foundation work. Carlos came in and looked at the slab, took measurements and said absolutely do not do foundation work. We got some recommendations for landscaping ideas to help prevent our foundation from retaining water. He wrote up a few page report for us to hold onto and to give to the seller. It was worth the money hiring him! We’ve been in this house almost 6 months with 0 issues and are so glad we didn’t do quick foundation repairs. It would’ve done more harm than good! Will 100% call Carlos if I ever purchase a home again!

My experience was great even though Carlos was later than expected to the appointment. I was notified that he was running about 30 mins behind due to traffic, which is understandable. He was polite and knowledgeable. Would use again for any future structural needs.

I've had nothing but pleasant interactions with Entek engineering. Given that I'd never had my foundation inspected, Carlos called me directly and reassured me of the process. Tyler came out and did the inspection. His follow up has been great and explanations to questions I've had have been really helpful.

We originally scheduled a foundation inspection a few months ago due to water damage that had occured on our home. We found Entek to offer responsive customer service at that time.

Prior to our appointment, we discovered that the results of the inspection could potentially be included in a legal matter we were pursuing. We made Entek aware of this as a courtesy, and they let us know they would not be able to move forward with the appointment, which was quite understandable.

We did not end up moving forward with the legal matter, but the need to make repairs on our home and seek input from a qualified structural engineer remained.

We followed up with Entek several times and found they would not answer our calls or respond to voicemail.

Given that we were upfront and communicative about the situation in the first place, this was quite disappointing.

We had Chuck from Entek come out to inspect our foundation based on the recommendation of a realtor we know. They recommended piers based on their assessment. We then had a foundation company come out. The foundation company that came out completely disagreed with Entek's report and recommended no piers at this time. They recommended re evaluating in the middle of summer to see if there truly is movement and explained that if we did do piers after that assessment the spacing, placement and number recommended by Entek was not appropriate and would be detrimental to the house. To say we're disappointed that we spent so much money for an engineer's report to be told it was essentially a waste of money is really disappointing. We chose to spend money on an engineer so we wouldn't have a biased company trying to sell us piers but the opposite happened. Of note is that Chuck's card said he was a structural analyst not an engineer which is the same as the foundation company we had come out. We were disappointed we didn't get an actual engineer when we hired an engineer company. The same foundation company looked at a previous report from 5 years ago we had done by a different engineering company and agreed with their assessment and said it was done correctly. We reached out to Entek to try to get more information from them and see what could be done but we've yet to hear back from them which is very disappointing. Would not recommend.

They were a life-saver! I needed a fast, expert structural engineering report to identify needed repairs to sell my home by closing date and Carlos was amazing! Not only is he an expert engineer, but he also showed common sense. He came out to evaluate the home himself. He took time to explain his findings and what needed to be done and why.
Jois was always available, friendly and helpful in getting me scheduled right away.

Abandoned by Carlos at Entek Engineering. During 2020-2022 I paid Carlos $1800 to perform three separate foundation inspections. In February 2020 he concluded that no repairs were required. However, in December, 2022 he determined that 11 more steel piers were needed. This was done, but the problems persisted, and in late 2021 he recommedned adding 4 more steel piers. This was done, but the problems persisted, and in December, 2022 he recommended adding 12 more steel piers. This was done and now, in 2024, the problems are just as bad as initially. My foundation contractor claims there's no movement despite cracks in walls, brick etc. I tried to set up an onsite meeting with Carlos and the foundation contractor, but he refuses to meet. Worse, Carlos refuses to even speak with me about the issue on the telephone. Nor has he returned any of my many, many calls, texts and messages left with is office. This is an awful way to treat an established customer. I recommend using a different foundation engineer because I can no longer rely on Carlos. Very interesting to see that reviews during the last year or so are almost all terrible, while older reviews are favorable. I suspect the deterioration in quality of service may result from Carlos trying to expand too rapidly into other cities. Looks like a management failure.

Very prompt, courteous, professional service, would recommend 100%. Carlos was great, excellent report that was easy to understand.

Carlos did a great job surveying the foundation, and providing me with a detailed overview of the results in every location around the foundation. Would definitely recommend Entek for their professionalism!

These guys were quick and on it when we called after a recent earthquake. They quickly got someone onsite and assessed our building.
