Ryan and his team were excellent to work with for replacing an entire wall of stucco. Ryan was helpful at every step, and the team worked every day the weather permitted to get a major and urgent repair completed as quickly as possible, without cutting any corners. The quote we received is the final price we paid, there were no hidden fees or additional charges. Very impressively, the stucco texture is a perfect match for the rest of the home! We will be choosing Gormley Construction for any future stucco and construction needs.

Ryan and the team (especially Keith!) did a wonderful job on our exterior stucco and gutting/renovating our kitchen. It’s a challenge of an old home that sometimes a wall is lacking insulation, the floor isn’t level, there’s rot in the floorboards you hoped to keep… throughout it all, they were completely transparent and cost conscious while doing exceptional work. The crew was respectful, kind, and communicative. There was no question too small, and I was so grateful for their character and diligence, in addition to their great work. It’s hard to trust your house to other people, and Gormley did the absolute best job in terms of making our vision come to life and making the process easy!

The greatest strength of Gormley Construction was without a doubt their responsiveness and eagerness to please. Ryan showed up on time and was the first to present a proposal, which was a proper contract with his license number, work description and a payment schedule. His foreman and crew showed good manners and treated us like a wanted customer. They ‘always’ showed up on time and occasionally worked weekends when needed to keep on schedule. Weather was rarely a problem as they worked through it or around it. Ryan and his foreman were very knowledgeable, and they ran a tight ship. We were impressed with the quality of work and the materials used.
The next best thing about Gormley Construction, which could be tied for the first best thing, was that change orders were quick and ‘very fairly’ priced! Ryan was always curious about our thoughts, and contributed ideas about possible modifications to the plan even after the project had begun. In fact, we avoided a very big mistake when Ryan explained that we had time to go to his supplier to see the actual stone we picked before it was delivered, and we were able to pick a different stone. The other great thing about Gormley Construction is their emphasis on customer satisfaction, and we sure are!
My wife said to add that she is so in love with the house now. Hmm, I didn’t think that through. I was looking forward to moving South.

Ryan and his very professional team worked on our house a year ago, remediation and replacement of stucco with James Hardy siding.
We hired Gormley after an intensive research, meeting with many contractors and inspectors, reading and learning the field; through all this process, Ryan was personally very responsive, answering every question I had and willing to make many extra steps to make sure I'm happy with the process. I think Gormley is one of the very few companies at the top of the field around the Philly area, and in my experience Ryan was the most responsive and thorough amongst all I communicated with. We came up with specific solutions tailored to our property, and Gormley complied.
Keith, the team leader at site was very professional and did great job coordinating their well trained employees. The employees were all hard (and fast!) working, as well as kind, making the entire process smoother.

Ryan did a very large house project of stucco remediation including Hardy Board installation, 65 window replacement, 3 sets of doors replacement and 2 new stone chimneys. Ryan and his team did a stucco remediation for my 30 year old stone and stucco home which had several areas in need of remediation. Many of the other companies I spoke with were all to quick to suggest going with cement board but Ryan laid out the options and I was able to preserve my preferred look of continuing with stucco. Along with his team Ryan was very approachable and easy to communicate with. The job supervisor Keith was also great to work with. The team did superb work and I am very pleased with the finished product as well as the warranty transferrable to a new homeowner. When we had our stucco inspected and learned that there was significant damage, we were confronted with the unpleasant reality that stucco remediation work is tricky. How do you know that your contractor is doing a good job? How do you know that the price you are being quoted is unfair.
We contacted multiple companies and did our best to educate ourselves. Turns out that an huge trap to fall in is the fact that some stucco remediation experts will low-ball you on price up front, knowing that the damage to the wood underneath the stucco will be extensive. Once you've signed up with them and they start the work, they can trap you by showing you how ugly the damage is underneath the stucco..."Whoops, looks like the job is WAAAY bigger than expected!" Then they can charge you whatever you want.
Enter Ryan Gormley. From beginning to end he was fantastic to work with. First, I probably have never had a contractor who was so proactive with communication. Second, he was a true educator - he told us exactly what he was doing to make sure that our stucco issues would become a thing of the past. Third, he and his team were professional, friendly, and an overall joy to work with. Most importantly, the job looks fantastic. Ryan made sure to educate me on what they accomplished and answered all my questions in a very timely manner. Finally, the work came in perfectly in budget - even though his was one of the lower-cost quotes that came in.

We contacted Ryan for a stucco problem with our home that was very concerning. We had leakage at some windows and water seeping into the garage. Ryan and his crew were just great. He walked us thru every stage as they tore off much of our exterior and replaced it, layer by layer, with new and improved materials. He replaced our windows and siding as well as the extensive stucco work. He also took care of stonework on the sides of the garage which was a new addition. We worked with Ryan and Gormley Construction to complete stucco remediation and a new roof on our 25 year-old home. Ryan and his crew did stucco repair in 2017 when we moved into the new home. The stucco put by Ryan is still in good shape after 8 years. This time one of my old stucco walls needed to be removed and put new stucco besides one window replacement. Without hesitation, I contacted Ryan. The quote was reasonable. Keith supervised the whole project. When the old window was removed, they suggested to remove more stucco underneath the window to make sure all damaged wood would be removed. This was done without extra charge but simply to make sure no left rotten wood after their work was done. The new window and patched stucco match well with old surrounding stucco. There are a lot of improvement in stucco wall installation in the last few years. The new stucco is more durable and has more breathing to handle any moisture behind the stucco. Overall, we are very satisfied and are not afraid of stucco problems because we can always come to Ryan to fix them.

Gormley completed a major exterior renovation including roof, gutters, stucco removal, hardie plank, new windows and doors etc. Ryan was great to work with, very responsive and exceptional attention to detail. We used Gormley Construction for stucco remediation. When we were in the process of buying our house, our inspections revealed major water damage due to the stucco and flashings not being installed properly.

I recently hired Ryan and team for stucco remediation and roof replacement on my new home. It's never fun to hear that your new home needs all this work, but Ryan and team made sure the experience was great from start to finish! Ryan was responsive, professional, and knowledgeable and made sure to keep me informed on what was being done and why, even providing daily pictures of the progress. Keith, the on-site manager, was also great and was always ready to walk me through the site whenever I dropped by, was a pleasure to chat with, and he made sure to keep me informed day to day. Despite a few small weather related problems during the process, Ryan and Keith made sure to correct any and all issues that came up and all while keeping within the initial estimate Ryan provided. My wife and I found our dream home in Plymouth Meeting - but it was a 25-year-old stucco house and the invasive stucco inspection revealed substantial moisture damage all the way around. Ryan helped us figure out what needed to be done, gave us lots of flexibility for deciding on the design, personally oversaw all aspects of the work, and showed genuine interest in the job getting done right. He also made sure that the various outdoor electrical and plumbing systems were set up to work well through the new siding.

It is never easy to live through construction, but everyone on the building team was friendly and considerate. When we got to the end of the job, the team was around and worked hard to make sure everything ended up in the state we wanted.

We ended up with an even more beautiful home than we expected, and with new siding, windows, and roof, I am confident that the house will be safe from the elements for decades to come.
