I hired 7 Diamond Builders in January 2025 for a home repair project and paid them more than $10,000 within the the first 30 days, based on their written and verbal assurance that the work would be completed in 3 to 5 months. As of today, well beyond that timeframe, the project remains incomplete, and not a single day of actual construction has taken place.

After signing, communication became inconsistent, then almost nonexistent unless I pursued answers in writing. The company has been completely unresponsive not only to me but also to my insurance company, who sent multiple adjusters and made repeated requests for basic documentation. Once the adjusters asked for a line-item estimate, the contractor stopped responding altogether.

I visited the City of St. Petersburg Permit Department in person on July 10, 2025, and was informed that no site plans had been submitted, despite the permit application having been open since March. In fact, a document from 7 Diamond Builders confirms the last contact from the City was on May 19, 2025, requesting information they still haven’t provided. This has made it impossible for the city to issue a permit stalling the entire project due to their negligence.

When I asked for a refund due to months of inaction, the contractor told me they would charge me over $5,000 just to cancel the contract, despite doing no work. This demand is both outrageous and unethical.

7 Diamond Builders has repeatedly deflected responsibility, blamed others, and only responded when forced through formal complaints. They threatened to add charges for follow-up communication and have refused to take accountability for delays or lack of progress.

If you’re considering working with this company, I strongly urge you to reconsider. My experience has been filled with excuses, unresponsiveness, and zero results.

Do not trust 7 Diamond Builders with your home or your money.

Always good to share your experience, especially when it’s down to any building work on your home, I have called diamond builders for a screen installed and extending the porch, I had Ken Arbor came out which I can’t say enough good words about my experience with him, very knowledgeable with any building work questions you throw at him.
he took all the time to run me through all my options, and pricing, with very friendly manners and none of the whole sales pushing tactic, I had several people came out quoted me and I must say their quality of work and pricing. It is very competitive.

I'm not prone to reviews, but when a company does what they promise and go above and beyond, they deserve recognition. I contacted 7 Diamond Builders after receiving several quotes for a new roof and I am completely satisfied with their service, professionalism and quality craftmanship. My insurance of 13 years decided to not renew my policy and being an older home, new quotes were ridiculously high. I found most contractors could do the job, just not in the timeframe I needed to meet my non-renewal deadline. From permit to finish in about a week and extremely satisfied with the end result. This wasn't my first time adding a roof, but it is the last time I go looking for a roofing company. The crew was great. If I ever need another roof, this is where who I'll be using.

Highly recommend! Peter was an amazing sales associate and got an inspection and repairs done on our property quickly and great quality work!

Screened room estimate. Mike was very thorough and explained the process in detail. Makes you want to choose his company, which he speaks very highly of. He answered all our questions.

I would not recommend this gentleman Mike to anyone. He is not an honest man. His group installed concrete and a screened in porch and within a few months the screens all practically came off and their are numerous leaks on the roofs. My advice to you is find a contractor with integrity.

I am very happy with the quality of work that was done by this company. I signed a contract in last June to do a very big project upgrade on my house. Romero bros were incredibly nice people. The paver crew were very good people and skilled at their job. The update team did a great job. This company got rid of their bad employees and kept the good ones. Everyone made this experience as good as it could go. I did have to be patient as it took 10 months to complete but it was well worth the wait.

They built a state of the art lanai, with motorized screens, a huge paver project with sidewalks connecting my driveway to my backyard.

7 Diamonds proved an excellent general contractor from start to finish. The estimate was fair and detailed; subcontractors were well managed; and any changes were communicated proactively. Craftsmanship is solid and punch-list items were addressed promptly. We are very satisfied and would hire them again.

The Romero bros are awesome! Friendly and competent guys who work for 7 diamonds. These guys did a fantastic job. Check the pics. Definitely I would recommend them to family and friends!!!

Sunroom build by 7 diamond. On site work was completed by Romero brothers whose professionalism and attention to detail is much appreciated. Questions or requests were addressed immediately and I am very happy with the finished product. The office to customer communication can use some improvement, but the on-site representation of the Romero’s was outstanding.

Had this company do a roof for one of my listings and had a great experience! Dealt with Peter throughout the process and his communication and professionalism were on point. They even took care of the asbestos garage roof promptly, properly, and professionally. Definitely recommend!

Just finished my screened in patio and I could not be happier. Service was excellent from start to finishing .Pete Spezza was my sales man and he was amazing. Explained everything and helped when I had questions. Camila is the office was incredible. Any problems that arose from she was on top of it. I would definitely recommend using 7Diamond Builders . I want to thank 7 Diamond Builders/Sunrooms for the great job on the estimate. Peter Spezza was professional and knowledgeable. He was on time for his appointment and spent extra time answering all our questions. He put together an estimate right when he finished with the measurements. That was amazing to me, as the usual process is to wait for several days and then the estimate is sent. Peter also stayed in communication by text and email, providing more information and answers to other questions that came up several days later. I give Peter a 5 Star rating on the estimate because he did an amazing job.

Avoid this company at all costs! We hired this company to replace the pan roof on our lanai last March 2024.

We paid them a steep $14,500, and since then they have ignored us as we have watched water POUR in through the incorrectly installed roof.

We have tried repeatedly to get them to repair our roof, and they ignore our emails, voicemails, calls and texts.

They took our money, did this completely wrong, and don't care that water pours in my house after every rain!

Do not trust them! They do shoddy work that will completely fail, engage in unfair business practices, and are completely negligent.

We will be pursuing legal action, but I hope by sharing our misfortune, we can stop someone else from being scammed by these lying crooks!

I wish that I could share videos so you could see the water pouring through the ceiling and light fixture. The photos don't fully show how horrible it is.
