They are experts at taking your vision and adding ideas that compliment your natural landscape, weather, and specific needs. They can even incorporate native flora that is gorgeous and low maintenance and unique to your preferences. Their attention to detail, honesty and integrity, timeliness, and expertise truly leaves them unmatched. I am blown away by the transformation of my yard and it’s why I use them exclusively for all my landscaping needs. Michael Sylvan was recommended to me for my landscape redesign. Did not know he was with this company. An utterly disappointing experience. We had an inperson, onsite consult. He sent 1-page Proposal for $10,000! Showed 4 stock photos of plants/shrubs he would use. NOTHING ELSE. Maybe he is not even working with this company anymore. Shocking.

I am so impressed with and grateful for the great job the Monolith team did planting a beautiful big gingko tree for me! They were timely, efficient, and made sure it was aligned perfectly. It makes me so happy to look out my window and see my favorite tree in my yard. Highly recommend!

Michael Sylvan went above and beyond to help us get a quick and accurate estimate for a retaining wall that was found to be near failure during a home inspection on a property we wanted to buy. His in depth and efficient analysis, as well documentation provided helped immensely in negotiations with the seller after inspection for this. Cannot say enough good things about Michael and his company.

I recently had to remove multiple very large Leyland Cypress trees from my backyard. They were dying and we lost a lot of privacy. Fortunately a friend referred me to Monolith Landscape Design. I spoke with Michael who came out the next day. He assessed the space, privacy issue, property lines, existing landscaping etc.and promptly followed up with several options. The pricing was very reasonable and once we agreed on Nellie Stevens Hollies for the replacement trees he schedule the planting.
Sarah, Director of Operations, managed the installation crew which was prompt, efficient and professional. Her attention to detail was exceptional.
My recommendation of Monolith Landscape Design could not be stronger.

Monolith, under an earlier name, constructed a very nice garden path and stone garden stairs for us several years ago. HOWEVER, the stone walls they constructed are very poorly done and continue to be problematic as the front-placed shims fall out into the garden on a regular basis. We since learned from highly-trained stone masons that walls should never be shimmed from the front but rather the back. They did a sloppy, unprofessional job for which they charged. $10,000! Micah even admitted to mistakenly placing drainage rocks where they should not have but made no apologies or offer of a refund. Furthermore, poorly supervised crew raked stone-filled mud over my well-prepared garden bed. I am reminded with the onset of Spring as I am STILL picking rocks out of the soil. My advice to potential customers: “A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.”

Sarah, Micah and the entire Monolith crew were great to work with on our backyard project. Sarah designed a plan that was just what we needed to make our backyard in our new home more functional, and we plan to do additional work with them to enhance the fun and beauty of the backyard later this year. Communication was excellent, they were able to start and finish right on schedule, and they were flexible regarding working with other contractors we had working on our property simultaneously (one of whom they recommended to us). They were also able to pivot and provide us with multiple options in our design when inevitably unexpected hurdles were encountered. Great job all around, and we look forward to work with them again before the year is up!

I don't have the words to express my gratitude for Micah, Sarah, and the Monolith team. They completely transformed our outdoor space into something I would have never dreamed was possible. After having several estimates from other landscaping design companies, Micah and team were the only ones to come up with a good way to improve our view of our huge retaining wall. Our project included finding better use of some unused parts of our yard, landscaping to disguise the retaining wall, new paver patio, new flower beds, a stone walking path, grading/leveling of the yard completely, new grass, and they fixed some drainage issues we have had since we purchased our home. Micah has such an eye for this work and the Monolith team was professional and quick. Micah and Sarah made sure to answer any and all questions we had during the design process and made sure we were 100% happy with everything before the construction started. Once everything was finalized, the team had the yard completely done in about 4 days, even with the freezing temps and 6 inches of snow. I highly recommend this company for all things landscaping and I will definitely use them again in the future!

We had French drains installed and they added an underground holding pan for evaporation. It’s worked wonderful. Nice people and great work!

They went above and beyond and worked with us at every turn over the last few weeks to create/install our “infinity” fire-pit, landscaping, irrigation, lighting, boulder bridge, etc and we couldn’t be happier with them and the outcome. I highly recommend their services.

Monolith did a a complete spring yard cleanup including mulch, weed removal and some sodding a few other small jobs and I am so pleased with the outcome. Their attention to detail is remarkable. The employees were nice to work with and did all that was expected and more. I would give them A+ for the job.
