Ryan did a great job of explaining what needed to be done to keep our dryer heating element from burning out. He installed a sheet metal duct section from our dryer to our vent at the laundry walk and also installed a vent cover at the discharge location. He cleaned out the vent line. He assured us that the modifications would prevent element burnout in the future. Happy customer here.

Overall, our repairman knew how to diagnose, repair, and clean dryer vents. I especially liked the before and after pictures. He cleaned up well inside and outside. We had a new vent cover put on outside. What an improvement! The old one was too small, and a bird was able to fly into it.

I’m 65+ and my grading might be a little tough. I am very particular, and I am a “Karen”. The 4-star rating is because he didn’t bring booties (he was standing with dead bird parts and who knows what else), and put his testing equipment on our Speed Queen washer and dryer without a mat or towel for protection. Quality service people used to do these things. He also let a couple of minor swear words fly, but did apologize.

Other pluses: I was able to schedule my appointment online. I was notified by text when he was on the way, and he showed up on time. Everything is online. He showed us all the charges and explained them well once we requested he slow down. We are in retirement speed.

He was personable, competent, kept a tidy work area, fully explained what needed to be done - and he took several photos on his phone so we could actually see the problem, as well as see his finished work. Our house is about 40 years old, and the dryer vent running through our crawlspace looked like some kind of antiquated, shoddy Rube Goldberg machine. He removed our complete disaster and installed a rigid metal vent system and critter proof vent flap door (that actually matches our house - win). We really couldn’t be more satisfied.

Dryer Vent recently cleaned our roof dryer vent. We have been using them for the past three years and have been very pleased. This is one of the most important maintenance pieces for every homeowner and as such it is on our to do list each year. Tommy, the owner, took the time to answer all of my questions to put me at ease; he has been in this business for quite some time so he pretty much knows everything there is to know about dryer vents; I really appreciate his time. What makes these guys really stand out is the fact that this company specializes in dryer vents, that’s all they do, unlike the other places I called prior to finding Dryer Vent, those other companies only offered it as an add on, their main specialties were usually air ducts cleaning or HVAC maintenance and service. I much rather go with someone who specializes in dryer vents and knows them in and out. Ryan, our tech, was on time, as usual, and was very patient with me, he explained every step and even took pictures to show me how clean our vent was to further reassure me. Now we can confidently use our dryer knowing that is clean and safe to use. One other thing I want to mention is that their rates are also very reasonable, all around a great experience and great team. We did not understand the scope of the job.
When we checked the dryer and lint buildup was in the filter space, we thought the job was not done. The scope of the job was to pressure test and clear the vent piping to the exterior as needed. When we initially rated the service as a zero, it due to our misunderstanding. The owner called for feedback and offered to come back to clear the dryer lint space. He does not need to as it not included within the scope. Therefore; follow up is excellent. We will continue to use their services.

Ryan was our tech and he was fantastic. He is friendly, professional and arrived on time. Ryan investigated our dryer line and made a great recommendation. It turns out our line was in very bad shape and it made more sense to have a whole new line put in. He quoted a price and stuck to that quoted price when he was finished. There were some tricky things to deal with as our home has a lot of stonework on the exterior. Ryan found a great place for the vent to go and fabricated what was needed to make it work and look great. He is a hard worker and very timely too. Ryan went over everything with us to show how much better the new line worked than the old line. He also cleaned everything up when he finished. Our home is much safer thanks to the work Ryan did. I would highly recommend Dryer Vent Wizard and ask for Ryan to be your tech!

The exhaust from my dryer has a very long, vertical run before it exits through the roof. I have had my vent cleaned periodically by another well-known, well-advertised company whose employees go onto the roof and agitate a long-handled brush into the roof vent while the dryer is running, which is supposed to blow the lint out. This is the extent of their clean-out. I contacted Dryer Vent Wizard of Chattanooga to come today, and Ryan arrived right on time. He explained that he would do an evaluation first to determine exactly what I needed. After inspecting everything, Ryan said that he would measure the exhaust rate to evaluate airflow efficiency and safety, determine that the dryer was heating properly, clean out the vent by not only accessing it through the roof, but also, would disconnect the dryer vent from the wall and clean the lower part of the long vent that could not be accessed from the roof. He quoted the price (which was only slightly higher than the original vendors I used who did not do as thorough a cleaning). I accepted the proposal, and Ryan got right to work. He completed the outlined tasks, vacuumed the area, and reconnected my vent to the wall and the dryer. From start to finish, the job was completed in about an hour. Ryan not only performed a better cleaning than I've ever had on my dryer vent, but he was also very friendly and respectful. It was a pleasure to meet such a conscientious young man who not only displayed a strong work ethic but also made us feel as if we were valued customers. To the management of Dryer Vent Wizard, I say, you have an exceptional employee in Ryan who is a valuable asset and represents your company extremely well. I fully intend to ask for Ryan again and would not hesitate to recommend Dryer Vent Wizard of Chattanooga.
