Constraction reviews in Corryton, Tennessee

Dealing with contractors can be daunting, especially when trying to fix up an old house from another state. Gene's communication with us on the work being done was extraordinary! I cannot recommend Knoxville Home Renovations enough! They could have cut corners and did a hack job but Kevin would not allow the work to be done sub-par. This crew really takes pride in their work. So lucky we found this bunch to deal with. I have tried other contractors that won't even return your call let alone actually answer the phone. In every aspect, Gene and his crew went above and beyond expectations!

Gene and his team did a fantastic job on our kitchen and den remodel (along with several smaller projects that cropped up). We would highly recommend Knoxville Home Renovations for anyone doing kitchen and bathroom renovation. Thanks for your hard work!

Gene and his guys were great--strong communication, timely, and did great work. It's always hard to be without a kitchen, but Gene managed to get our up and running in time for Thanksgiving. So much easier to wash the turkey pan in a big sink!

Gene and his guys were prompt and professional. We had very clear communication throughout my whole kitchen remodel. Any deviations in cost and design were discussed and approved quickly. I would recommend them highly.

Knoxville Home Renovations did an outstanding job! I could not be happier. Aaron stayed in contact with us and was always checking to make sure we were happy. This is the cabinet team you need. Thanks again guys!

Gene and his team made our dream kitchen a reality. They were trustworthy, diligent, patient with our additions to the plans, priced fairly, and hardworking. His guys are skilled and work non-stop while on the job. We trusted his work, his recommendations, and his opinions. He and his team helped us build a kitchen from the subfloor up, repaired a room with damage from a fallen tree, and installed four new windows to.replace old metal ones. I would absolutely recommend his team to anyone needing any type of home renovations.

Gene and his team (we had Kevin and Travis on our project) did great work for us. We had close to 1000sqft of LVP flooring installed. Gene made sure we were in clear communication throughout the whole process and checking in on if we were satisfied with the work his team was doing. Kevin and Travis treated our home with respect and care while they were here. We will be using Knoxville Home Renovations, LLC again for future projects!

For those who don't want to read all the details below, to summarize my thoughts: Knoxville Home Renovations did fantastic work on my kitchen remodel and I highly recommend using them for your renovation project!

Great communication, skilled workers, and absolutely fair pricing.

Now for the nitty-gritty:
Gene and his crew did an excellent job replacing everything in my kitchen that was due for a face lift. Gene’s approach to the quoting process was straightforward, providing a line-item list of services he could provide with prices clearly laid out for the services that aren’t billed at an hourly rate, allowing you to pick and choose what you want and what fits your budget. Once I signed on, he provided me a write-up on what to expect during the renovation and what materials I needed to gather and have ready before they show up to do the work.

I appreciated Gene’s detail-oriented nature and clear communication from the quoting process to the very last day of install. He was prompt in responding to any questions or problems I had and was a pleasure to work with! Unfortunately, my cabinets were delivered with some damage (no fault of Knoxville Home Renovations) and he took the lead on following up with the cabinet company numerous times, including sending his people back out to install replacement parts on multiple occasions which I really appreciate as I realize he is eating that cost. Gene won’t leave you high and dry; he clearly takes pride in his work and wants to satisfy your reasonable expectations.

As for the crew doing the demolition and installation, Kevin, Jake, and Aaron were efficient, polite, and answered any questions I had, going the extra mile to explain how something works if I inquired further. Jake and Aaron did a great job painting, moving plumbing and electrical, installing cabinets and hardware, and removing old tile and putting down new flooring. Jake came in on a Saturday (Gene cleared this with me first) to finish the main phase of the install early and Aaron showed a lot of creativity in finding solutions to problems that were out of the norm. After the bulk of the install was completed, Kevin then came in and did excellent tile work for my backsplash and completed all the “little fix” items on my punch list. After Kevin was finished, he went through the kitchen with me to make sure everything was to my liking and nothing was forgotten. Gene also followed up, making sure I was happy with the result.

As a young woman calling the shots for this project, I do want to highlight that I never felt talked down to, disrespected, taken advantage of, or ignored by Gene or anyone in his crew. I felt comfortable having the crew in my home while I was there alone and also at times I had to step out for some hours.

Lastly, I felt the pricing was fair for the work done and high level of service I received. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Knoxville Home Renovations in the future!

Gene and his team stand out because of their professionalism and quality of work. I am a local realtor and I have worked with many contractors and Gene truly stands out as one of the very best. He shows up on time and goes above and beyond to make sure his clients are happy and pleased with his work. I can't recommend Gene enough!

I would highly recommend Knoxville Home Renovations, LLC. Gene DeMarco, the owner, provided excellent home renovation services to us! His employees were at our home as scheduled and were highly qualified to do the work we requested. Mr. DeMarco supervised this work and was always accessible. His costs were reasonable and he kept us up to date as the work progressed. Gene DeMarco turned a house that was uninhabitable due to the work of an unqualified contractor into a now cozy, livable home. We are very happy with the results and have nothing but good to say about this company.

This is the second time I’ve used Knoxville Home Renovations, LLC, and once again they exceeded all expectations. Gene, his wife Bonnie DeMarco, and their wonderful team are true professionals and outstanding craftsmen. Their workmanship is excellent, and the attention to detail truly shows in the final result.

Communication throughout the entire process was fantastic. I was kept informed every step of the way, all of my questions were answered, and the team was always helpful and respectful. They went above and beyond what was expected, which made the entire renovation process smooth and stress-free.

I am beyond extremely satisfied with the process, the final outcome, and everyone involved. I highly recommend Knoxville Home Renovations, LLC and will absolutely use them for any future renovations I have.

Sincerely,
Angela Vineyard

Kevin had to redo another contractors floor and did a great job. Very friendly and courteous. Gene came to my home and looked at the previous contractors work and told me everything that was causing the floor to come apart and how he should have did the job. I knew then Gene and his crew are who I wanted. Would hire Gene, Kevin, and anyone from their crew again.

We are very happy with our kitchen renovation and would recommend Gene and his crew without hesitation. Our 70-year old house had a kitchen layout we did not like, very old cabinets, and the floor had at least 4 layers of vinyl.

Gene walked us through the process and gave us the option of doing certain work (such as demolition) ourselves if we wanted. We had already worked with Old City Kitchens on the design and layout. They gave us Knoxville Home Renovations contact info and Gene was quick to get back to us.

Our project was a complete overhaul down to the studs and subfloor. They relocated plumbing, installed new electrical outlets and even vented our range hood to the outside.

The crew showed up on time and ready to work and did an excellent job. They never complained when an unexpected challenge arose and cleaned up after themselves daily.

Our kitchen turned out amazing. Great experience and fair price!

Knoxville Home renovations done a great job on my custom tile walk-in shower. Gene communicated throughout the entire process. Very good contractor that I would definitely recommend to anyone.

We recently had our kitchen totally remodeled by Knoxville Home Renovations. The owner, Gene, came out and looked at my kitchen and took measurements and sent them to Old City Kitchens to create a 3D model of how we could remodel. We were able to make a couple changes and it was really cool seeing what the end product would look like. Once the cabinets came in, his crew got started right away and demolished my old kitchen in one day. His crew, Jake, Aaron, and Kevin, were professional, knowledgeable and took great pride in doing an exceptional job with everything they touched. They cleaned up each day and left no messes behind. They got my input before making decisions and always had great advice on how to do certain things. These guys are not young kids that don't have experience. Gene's crew, Jake, Kevin and Aaron, are very experienced men in remodeling that came in each day and worked very hard. Gene kept in touch with me so that I always knew what to expect and he explained things perfectly. He even gave great advice on the style pulls to buy and talked us into under cabinet lighting, which turned out perfect and we're so glad we listened to him. I honestly have no complaints and can only rave about the wonderful job they did. If you want a great team to work with that's trustworthy and dependable, you won't go wrong with Gene, Jake, Kevin and Aaron. I highly recommend you call Knoxville Home Renovations. Knoxville Home Renovations recently transformed our kitchen, replacing our old, disintegrating builder-grade cabinets with stunning hickory cabinets, butcher block countertops, and a beautiful tile backsplash. The end result exceeded our expectations and brought new life to our home.
While the process required us to empty out all the cabinets and kitchen, which was admittedly inconvenient, the overall experience was smooth and well-organized. Gene and his office manager, Bonnie, kept us fully informed throughout every step of the renovation. Gene’s meticulous attention to detail ensured that nothing was left to chance. He personally measured our kitchen to confirm that everything we planned with Old City Kitchens would fit perfectly. His transparent process laid out every task and cost clearly on paper, leaving no room for surprises.
Gene’s pricing was incredibly reasonable, especially considering the quality of work delivered. His team of employees (Travis, Aaron, and Emilio) were polite, hardworking young men who completed the entire project—from demolition to final cleanup—in just four days. They left our space spotless, which we greatly appreciated.
Even though our project was relatively small compared to others his company handles, Gene made us feel like his most important customers. His dedication to customer satisfaction truly stood out.
Out of 5 stars, we rate Gene and Knoxville Home Renovations a perfect 10 for their exceptional service, craftsmanship, and professionalism
