LOVE this company. Prior to Grassland, we tried several different lawn-care companies with little success in maintaining our irrigation system and keeping our lawn healthy and weed-free. Grassland is hands down the best company around when it comes to actually knowing and understanding grass, landscaping, and irrigation. Every employee has expertise in spades and always seems to know just the thing required for my lawn. Best of all, their prices are incredibly reasonable and far more competitive than most other companies around. I'll put it this way: If you find someone who will do it cheaper, you may save a few bucks, but you will sacrifice quality to your later expense (I know this from experience). Highly recommended.

JT is awesome. He is knowledgeable and honest. He could have sold me a $5000 irrigation system, but told me it would not be worth it to put one in my yard. If you actually need an irrigation system or someone to treat your lawn.... do not hesitate to call him!

A SOLID 10! JT and his crew have saved our 100+ year old ash trees. They were the only company that wanted to actually treat them rather than cut them down. They have done several jobs for us and we intend to use them for everything: lighting, irrigation and design. I am avid gardener that is picky about those that work on our landscape. JT and the Grassland team have been amazingly flexible with my yard's requirements over the last 2+ years. They fixed my property's drainage problem using a system of catch basins and drainage pipes to make sure my pool/house are not flooded in any future storms. I was an nervous wreck when I saw a storm coming, and now we can relax and watch the water drain properly. The team also came back a few times to make sure it was done right (some additional drainage was needed due to large volume of water from more recent storms). Really appreciate Grassland fixing our major water intrusion worry.

JT and his crew came through and delivered an amazing redesign of my entire property. JT is not only a great landscaper designer but his team carry on his passion of customer service. UPDATE: I had a poor experience with Grassland and left a scathing review. I am not editing that review - it is below - but I am definitely changing my overall evaluation of Grassland Horticulture because of the way JT Cunningham responded. As soon as JT saw my review, he IMMEDIATELY gave me his personal contact information and asked if I would contact him directly so he could find out what needed to be done. Once I messaged him he immediately (less than a minute later) called me so that we could chat about my experience. He not only apologized, he immediately (yes, I have used that word a lot but it is the best word to describe his actions) got in his truck and came out to find out what needed to be done. He then set about working all around the base of my tree, repositioning irrigation, and telling me what needed to be done with irrigation, treatments, etc. I cannot ask more from a vendor - that is the best response that anyone could possibly expect. JT - THANK YOU! I am happy I met you and if I ever have a need for more of the services you provide, or if anyone I know has a similar need, your name will be tops.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:

Don't bother. I don't know if their services are any good since I haven't been able to get anyone out to help me. I called almost 2 weeks ago for help with a girdled tree. After speaking with a real live person to describe my need, I sent pix and details along with contact information so that someone could get back to me. After almost a week with no response, I messaged again to find out why and received the response "My apologies, as I must have never hit ‘send’ on my reply!" as the explanation for why no one had gotten back. I was told in that same message that Bob (not his real name) "is planning to come take a look." Well, this is the 7th day after that message and I've gotten no calls, no message, no emails, no one showing up. Maybe you will have better luck but my need was one that should have received prompt attention to help me save the tree and I got nada from Grassland Horticulture.

I recently used Grassland for a tree service and they were outstanding. After agreeing to a quote (based on my measurenents), the cam out and did the job for 1/3 the quoted price on the same day! Their customer service and integrity are topnotch. I will hope to use them for many new projects. Very impressed with all aspects of this full service landscaping company!
