I would give AKA Tree Service (AKATS) five stars, but the unknown local tree company that AKATS hired to grind down the tree stump did a crappy job and never called me as to when they were going to be at my house.

AKATS informed when they were going to come cut down my one tree and grind down the stump. Sales Representative Mr. Sean was very professional, had polite mannerisms, and was clear with what would be done at a reasonable price.

A week later AKATS arrived on time and within an hour they were done and on their way. I was informed by the foreman that a local tree service would do the grinding of the stump.

Two or three weeks went by before I realized the local tree company had come to grind down the stump without a word. I couldn't see what they did to the stump as all the shavings were piled on top and a huge tire divet was left in my yard where their equipment got stuck. The local tree company never apologized or even acknowledged me in any way.

I know that AKATS is a reliable company, but I would question the local tree grinding company they hired to do any work.

AKA is a number one company. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs or wants tree service. The men are polite,professional and meticulously in their work ethic. Absolutely the best tree service around. If you need anything related to tree service these are the people to go with!!!!

During the ice storm of January 2026, I sustained severe and extensive tree damage to my property and home.
Trying to be weary of out of town companies that "flew" into Nashville, TN to assist in the clean up process I chose AKA Tree Service because they have an office in Hermitage. I spoke with Heath H. over the phone and he assured me that this process could happen extremely fast, even given the conditions. (i.e. power lines down around one of the trees as well as sub-freezing temperatures) Within 6 days of the trees coming down, there was a crew at my property removing the tree from my house.

There was some miscommunication that occurred during what I know was a chaotic time and the tree behind the house was not touched. After a few calls, I was in contact with Heath again and he came out to the property and we talked about the issue. He agreed that there was and miscommunication and that the situation would be rectified. True to his word, the problem was corrected and he proved that he and the company are an honorable company.

Long and short of the matter is this; I will need more trees remove from my property in the future and I can say that I WILL be calling this company again!

As a side note, this company remove two 35 - 40 ft. Hackberry trees from the property. One of these from the top of my house and the other was a four trunk monster without any undue damage to the property.

Long story short, my cat got stuck in a tree. I ran around calling the fire department, doing all the things trying to get him down. nothing was working. i called AKA Tree service and they sent John out to help me. John spent at least an hour of his free time climbing up a large, wet tree to get my cat out. he was very kind and gentle with my baby and i’m so happy i called AKA Tree Service! now i'm not going to say i hope this happens again so i can call back. If i could give 100 stars i would. i would 10/10 recommend AKA Tree Service for your tree needs!

Great experience with Jacob and AKA tree service. Fair price, good communication and I love being able to pay without any added credit card processing fees!! Plus they did a great job on trimming our very large maple tree.
