Sowder Electric furnished and installed a whole house generator that uses natural gas as its fuel source. Prior to quoting the project, the installer came to my home and gathered information used to size the generator. We also settled on the exact location of where the generator was to be installed. He told me to contact the gas company and ask if a bigger gas meter would be required. He also showed me where the gas riser was to be placed.

After the gas company installed the bigger meter (which was required as the Sowder installer had thought) and placed the gas riser, Sowder came to set the generator, made changes in the existing circuit breaker box, mounted and wired the transfer switch, and ran the conduit to the generator. Unfortunately, it started to rain heavily and they had to quit for the day.

Upon their return, they completed the wiring and tried to start up the generator. The generator took a while to start, and when it did start, it ran rough. After some trouble shooting, the installer said there was not enough flow of natural gas to the generator. I called the gas company, and they were able to come out the next morning to meet with the Sowder installer.

The Sowder installer told the gas employees what needed to be changed. Although the gas men did not think the changes would solve the problem, they went ahead and did what Sowder wanted done. Sowder returned that afternoon, and the generator started right up and ran smoothly. Sowder did their final checks and tests. Everything is GOOD.

Later that evening, the two gas company employees who made the changes, stopped to see how the generator was functioning. I started the generator for them, and they could not believe that the changes they made solved the problem. "We've installed hundreds of these and never had a problem with the way we did it before".

Sowder Electric knows what they're doing. I am totally impressed and satisfied with this company and their installer in particular.

I called Chattanooga Plumbing doctor this morning. A plumber (Deacon) was at my house within 2 hours. He assessed my problem and had it repaired the same day! He was quick, respectful and very tidy. I highly recommend them. I will be using them for all my plumbing needs.

Called in the morning and was told he would be at the home by the end of the day. He showed up and determined the problem. Gave me a fair quote for the work to be done and completed the work quickly. He did not try to upsell work he just fixed the issue. Just what you want in a contractor.

We are extremely happy with Chattanooga Plumbing Doctor. They were very prompt on checking out our issue. They did great work in replacing our tankless water heater with a newer, more advanced model. Would certainly recommend them based on our experience.
