Today I had a massive ash tree cut down and removed. These guys were AWESOME!!! I watched them in amazement the entire time as the worked professionally and as a team. They communicated well, watched out for each others safety and cleaned up when they were done. My tree was very close to the house and the foreman(arborist) made perfect cuts to avoid the house and nearby plants. Very impressive folks with a reasonable price. Thank you so much!!

I cannot say enough good things about my service from Cortese. From the first phone call to the communication with Nick to the execution by this wonderful crew, Johnathan, Nick, Michael, George, Evan, and Rachael, my yard looks so much better and I don't fear another 70+ year old tree on a house. I highly recommend this team and look forward to a long relationship maintaining my landscape.

We had a very large limb overhanging our home. Evan, Gaige, and Ben were professional, and very thorough in their approach to tackling the problem.

Charles quoted removing 6 dead trees and adding a cable in a Tulip Poplar over 100 feet tall. He scheduled it for over 2 months out but said if I was able to do "short notice", they would try to fit me in. I said okay and they showed up 2 weeks later!
They couldn't reach everything with their 70 foot bucket truck so Tyson got to climb up the trees and swing around on only his ropes & harness. It was quite the show!! His ground crew took care of him and cut up the branches as they lowered them to the ground.
Cortese has been out here several times removing threats to my house thanks to the Emerald Ash Borer. They have the equipment and the experience to get it done safely. I don't even bother calling around.....they give me peace of mind. Considering the strong winds we keep getting, that means a lot to me.

A hugh pine came down on our house in the middle of the night. We called Cortese Tree Specialist and they came over within in an hour of our call. The next day a team of three guys came out, and within a half of a day removed the tree and all the scattered limbs. They were professional, polite, and did exactly what they said they would do, when they said they would do it.

When we needed some major tree trimming and removal, I called upon the experts at Davey Tree because of the excellent work they did several years ago. Cortese Tree Specialists removed 5 trees at The Salvation Army of Knoxville, including one large bartlett pear tree and 4 pines that were dangerous and causing property damage. Nick, Coty, and their team were very professional and accommodating. The Salvation Army property is a busy property, and they ensured we had minimal interruptions to normal services while keeping all individuals on the property safe. What a great tree service company! Johnathan and his crew were amazing. They were on time, professional, friendly, informative and meticulous in their work and cleanup. Along with the tree removal, they did a great job pruning our river birch. I would definitely not hesitate to use them again should the need arise.

We had a very tall pine tree that was making us nervous with these high winds we have been having. We did not want to see it on our home or our neighbors home. Called, had a quick response for a free estimate and on the schedule in a reasonable amount of time. With the location and terrain the tree was going to have to be climbed and cut. The crew of Coty, Gaige and Tommy did a great job from beginning being respectful to us and our property to the very thorough cleanup.

Everyone at Davey Tree was a pleasure to work with. John came out to offer some suggestions on 2 trees we had concerns with. We decided to remove one very large Poplar and clean up and add Cabling to our Silver Maple. Tabitha was helpful with scheduling and answering any questions I had. And I can’t say enough nice things about the crew that came out to do the work. They were on time, addressed all my concerns and did a great job cleaning up. I told them that my yard looked better after they left than before ;-) We’ll definitely continue to use Davey Tree in the future and recommend to our neighbors.

Nick and Jonathan did an excellent job removing a large hickory tree from our back yard this morning (photos). The team arrived right on time as scheduled, and were very efficient in getting the job done, and thoroughly cleaned the yard up afterward. Today’s job was a follow-up on earlier work where a bigger Cortese team removed 2 other equally tall additional trunks of that hickory, as well as 3 other trees that had overgrown our house. We highly appreciate the professional work of the Cortese team!

Great team, Jonathan, Gaige and Jarad were amazing they maneuvered the bucket truck flawlessly through our yard and into the trees. Our yard looked cleaner when they finished up than before they started. David our arborist is great guiding us through the journey of keeping our trees healthy. Been using them for over 5 years and they are amazing. We live in Athens, TN with other options, however having Davey travel to us from Knoxville is the right decision. Highly recommend.

I needed to get a giant crepe myrtle trimmed to allow access for new gutters as well as have a maple with a lot of rot removed. Rachel came out same day to get me a quote and was able to get me on the calender on short notice. Gabe and his helper arrived on time today and decided to get an extra piece of equipment to speed their process so the gutter installers werent impacted. They got the job done fast, professionally and it looks great. Thank you so much for he great work and flexibility on timing

Davey’s service was top notch in every way. David provided a excellent consultation and follow up on the day of tree trimming. The gentlemen who did the actual trimming were excellent as well. They asked if I was satisfied and then continued to trim some other places that bothered me. They were very polite and cleaned up the area perfectly. I would not hesitate to recommend Davey’s and will certainly hire them again when I need work in the future.

Evan and Nick showed up on time and were very friendly and polite. They explained what they were here for and completed the job without damaging the yard or adjacent trees.

Evan, Jonathan and Gaige did an amazing job. We had a tree removed and several trimmed. They cleaned everything up, walked the property with me once they were completed and were wonderful with my neighbor. Trees look so much better! Cortese is wonderful - highly recommend!!!

This witch hazel tree had barely bloomed in several years and the leaves were few and curled. We considered removing it until we called Davey trees. After soil injection fertilization treatments last fall, it started blooming a month ago and is still blooming profusely! I planted maple trees when we built our house and they have never had the beautiful color I had hoped until after this treatment. In addition, here are a few of my azaleas. I couldn’t be happier.

I’ll first say that John that came out and gave an estimate on the trees and was very professional and was able to give us an understanding on a lot of things about removing our trees.

Rachel and Jarad did a fantastic job on cutting/laying down some very big trees for us!
We had a total of 5 tree laid over and was very impressed how they communicated throughout the whole time they were here.
Also very impressed with how the tackled a tree that was leaning very bad towards my house. I was very uneasy about that tree to begin with and they were able to put my worrying mind to ease. They were able to bring it down piece by piece. With that, they did not leave the brush scattered everywhere. They were able to keep it mostly all together.
With no hesitation, I would recommend them to anyone who is needing trees cut.

Davey Tree just completed a big job in our yard, five large trees removed and several others pruned. The crew (George, Gaige & Emily) were so professional and worked so hard, with so much love and care for our trees and lawn. Our arborist, David, is always so helpful and knowledgeable. We really appreciate having this company in our community.

These guys are great! They have actual arborists on staff, they are very knowledgeable, AND THEY DONT TRASH YOUR PROPERTY!! We’ve used other tree services and they’ve left a MESS, tire tracks all over lawn and destroyed adjacent plantings. Davy’s did an excellent job, very pleasant staff, and cleaned up area, left a job well done, and better than it was!!
