When I called, I talked to a real person who had a number that could also be texted. He was intelligent and found that the problem was much simpler than indicated by the HVAC guy (the issue involved my HVAC unit). We had just moved into our home when one of the electrical outlets in the kitchen stopped working. After attempting to troubleshoot myself, I called Jay after being referred by a friend. Jay was responsive, came out same day, and stayed until the problem was fixed even though it turned out to be more complicated than initially anticipated. Would use his services again in the future and would recommend him to others.

Was in a dilemma and called Jay. He was able to go out and take care of the problem that day. After he got there he went above and beyond. My daughter in law and I have found a new electrician. Jay is the quintessential handy man & electrician. I moved to Nashville in June 2019 and I had such a difficult time finding a reliable electrician and handy man. Finally I came across Jay and all of our dilemmas have been answered. Not only is Jay fair, professional, hard working and responsive but he also will refer other contractors such as his painter who carries the same work and business ethics as him. I’d recommend Jay to anyone, 5 stars every time he shows up for a job.

I would highly recommend Jay! He did great work and went above and beyond to fix a few other items that popped up while he was here. His pricing is fair and transparent as well.

We hired Home Run Electric as the General Contractor to complete our unfinished walk-out basement. This included framing, exterior walk-out door replacement, a rec-room, extensive electrical (including a woodworking shop room), plumbing, HVAC, drywall, paint, tile, and trim. We had detailed plans for Jay to start with, which he reviewed and discussed with us, suggesting some good alternatives and improvements that we had not thought of. After some back and forth on getting the quote to represent exactly what we wanted, we signed off on the scope and Jay started ordering materials and got to work.

Jay did some of the work himself, and subcontracted other work as we had discussed during the up-front planning. Jay and all of his subcontractors did great work. On the rare occasion where there was a minor issue, Jay or the subcontractor came back out and they quickly remedied the situation. After the original contract, we added to the scope a few times. This was no issue for Home Run Electric, as they got an updated quote and we approved amendments along the way. Despite the increased scope, the job was finished in the timeframe that Jay had originally estimated! Jay handled all of the details with the subcontractors and the permitting authorities. Communication throughout the job was superb, keeping us informed as to the schedule and next steps.

We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Quality of workmanship, cost, timing, working with our various constraints, communication … all top notch.

During the course of the last 12 months I have had Jay do electrical work on my new home. During this time I’ve had outside motion lights installed and extra outlets put on my home. I just would like to say Jay did a great job while installing the lights and outlets. Jay was professional, on time, and was fair in his pricing.
