We love our pools here in Canterbury! Our newest pool feels like a resort!

Waterscapes has installed number of pools for me. They are so easy to work with and offer a large selection of pool decking and tile finishes for your pool. Lee Seelig has built a great team of professionals to ensure every detail of your pool design is finished to perfection. I would strongly recommend considering Waterscapes if you are planning to build a pool. I know they are the only pool builder I would ever use.

I didn’t personally work with Waterscapes Backyard Resorts, but as a resident of the Canterbury neighborhood, I get to enjoy the results of their work—and it’s incredible. The two resort-style pools they built are absolutely beautiful and have completely elevated the feel of our community. The design, quality, and overall atmosphere are top-notch. Truly impressive work!

There's nothing better than trusting a team with your vision and knowing they're going to do it right. Waterscapes took what I had in mind and somehow made it even better. Austin was so easy to work with and as sweet as iced tea. 10/10, I wholeheartedly recommend Waterscapes Backyard Resorts!

I was referred to Waterscapes by my daughter. Working with Waterscapes Backyard Resort has been an exceptional experience from start to finish. The quality of their work truly sets them apart. Whether you’re looking to build a custom pool or simply need reliable cleaning and maintenance services, their team delivers with skill, care, and consistency.

They are a pleasure to work with—responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to creating beautiful, functional outdoor spaces. I’ve been thoroughly impressed with their attention to detail and the pride they take in their craft.

I highly recommend Waterscapes Backyard Resort to anyone considering a new pool project or looking for dependable cleaning services. You’ll be in great hands with a team that goes above and beyond.

Agree with the first reviewer here. We had the same problems, with the same person who worked there named Junior. Terrible customer service. We now use Clearwater Pool service who have been excellent.

    Would NOT recommend

We spoke with the owner Lee Seelig. He was disinterested in our complaints even though it was a pool that he had installed.

This is a poorly-run business. The company needs to invest more in operations to keep pace with growth. It runs like it did when Nashville was a much smaller town.

This review is based on experience, from a customer of the business for many years that has used a range of services - including the initial sales consultation, pool and hardscape design, build-out, start-up, maintenance/repair and cleaning.

Some examples of improvements the company should make:
The company still uses a generic, single email address for incoming service requests that ends in @att.net. They haven't established email addresses for named employees or created centralized email addresses like service@, sales@, etc. They field calls and take notes, but have a rudimentary process of logging and tracking incoming requests. Requests get lost and intercommunicated.

This often results in long delays for service, the inability to understand the status of service requests, frustrated customers and irritated personnel fielding the calls. In addition, and most frustrating, it results in multiple trips for service technicians to solve problems - reducing efficiency of maintenance teams and further frustrating customers.

They have no trouble-ticket system and need one. If they had one, they would have a good way to understand their queue of outstanding service request and a method to prioritize their service backlog. There are trouble-ticket solutions that cost less than $10 per agent, and would give them a robust system to manage their incoming phone and email requests. The system would also give them the data they need to determine how many new support technicians to hire (they need a lot more).

They need to invest in training so they can expand their number of maintenance techs and reduce the load on their already overworked team.

They prioritize new builds over maintenance and sometimes even divert their most senior team out-of-state for their preferred customers who build multiple pools. They have no real division of labor between maintenance and new builds, so new builds get priority. Those of us who are long-time customers go to the back of the line.

The cleaning team doesn't communicate well with the maintenance team, so it falls to the homeowner to discover, diagnose and resolve issues that the pool cleaning team were obviously aware of.

There are some really nice people that work for the company, but they are overworked and many are disgruntled.

Lee, please invest in your business. There are some easy fixes you can do. You are missing some of the basics required to scale the business and address your customers' concerns.

Had a good experience working with the folks at Waterscapes Backyard Resorts. While we ended up not building a pool (right now), they were very nice and professional. They put the needs of our family and the limitations of our home ahead of just trying to make a sale. They took the time to answer questions and provide a possible layout for our property. When the time comes, WBR will gt our business! Thanks guys!

My friend referred this company for our pool and I’m so glad he did.

I'm a competitor and I can only say good things about this company.. there's many others in the business that give the good ones a bad name.
They don't deserve the bad reviews they've gotten at all.
If we can't get to you, we'd definitely recommend Waterscapes to build your pool.

I’ve owned and/or had in-ground pools built in homes I’ve owned from California to Maryland. I contracted with Waterscapes Backyard Resorts of Nashville TN., to design, build and maintain my 65,000 gallon in-ground pool, oversized hot tub and waterfall/fire features, and they are WITHOUT a doubt, the best pool contractor I have ever worked with.
It was a complicated build with changes on-the-fly, but they were honest, ethical and fair (fantastically so) from start to finish. Even during this CRAZY pandemic plagued, supply-chain collapsed and economically downturned time. John, their construction Superintendent, was a God send.
For anyone looking for a high quality, honest company to build their backyard resort, and who has patience and understands the complications of the process, I have no hesitation giving them a five star rating.

We feel Waterscapes consistently provides amongst the best service experience we have received from any company in any industry. In addition to a first rate, beautiful product delivered exactly the way they said it would, this team is incredibly responsive, kind and empathetic to any question, maintenance item or rare mechanical issue that arises. Every representative, every time. Highly recommend and really appreciate a company showing how it can be done. Keep it up!
