The work they did was excellent. Only 4 stars because we had some trouble getting an accurate estimate from them. Also, their response time was not always as desired. Some of the fault may be ours or due to communication with our insurance company.

I called Renaissance Contracting for a wide ranging list of repairs. I was very impressed with all the work, and the timely manner in which it was performed. It was a huge benefit to have one place that could get everything done. It is a true, one stop shop! A great go-to guy.

Renaissance helped us with a huge remodeling project last week with a lot of moving parts and they pulled it off masterfully! I am shocked and dismayed at the horrid professionalism of this business. I am going to sum most of it up here. I had been trying to get them to build a pergola---sounds simple for about two years now. They not only took long to respond---at one time---told me my job was small after saying they would take it. They lost my check---I had to cancel it with my bank. Now, I was trying to give them another chance. At this point---I am asking myself---why I would do that? Go to them again for the build and today (after delays caused by them) they tell me they need to do a new quote. Keep in mind---the delays were due to their being non-responsive as well as losing a deposit. The sad part---they were a referral from the contracting site at USAA insurance. Sadly---I am going to follow-up with all (my insurance company) to share my feedback and concerns with this company. If you want to save yourself time and follow-up---go elsewhere unless you have a really big job they can muster up the professionalism to actually respond to. Honestly---they could have just said---up front they would rather not do the job. If you saw my email exchanges in trying to get them to build this pergola, you would be shocked. In fact---to understand their professionalism---look at the owners response to reviews. I got to say---I should have looked at their reviews before I wasted my time in waiting for them. Good luck if you pick this company. Owner---I am ready and waiting for your response. but---you know and I know---it will not be long before you really start listenig to your customers and caring about your teams lack of follow-through.

If you are doing a remodeling job, do not pick this company. They were not very knowledgeable about remodeling work. It seemed we knew more about construction than they did in many cases. Their carpenter was an amateur. We had to constantly correct them on poor work. They kept wanting to charge us more money to fix their mistakes. They kept saying they were doing such poor work to save them money. They kept making excuses that they had to make the wall crooked to match up with existing framing. In the end we ended up with wavy walls, and now we are now having to spend more money to fix the mistakes they made. We wasted a lot of money with this company. They do not care about quality work.

Renaissance Contracting helped redo my kitchen that was ruined by a busted pipe. They were very friendly and kept me updated throughout the whole process. Our kitchen has never looked better. I definitely recommend.

We had a very different experience from you folks giving them 4-5 stars. I would give 0 if I could. Terrible, un-professional sub contractors. We had people show up here for work, with their kids, we had guys selling a car in front of our house -the first day. They broke our garage door, left the water hose running more than once. Painter was terrible. They did replace an expensive window blind that he got paint on. You are only as good as your subs. I'm sure guy that did the electric, was not licensed. We had to have an electrician come and fix his mistakes, had to break through drywall because he covered up junction box. They said we were getting the "A-team". It was a large insurance claim. They were not on time, sometimes didn't show. Disrupting many weekends. Our job was a side job, felt like. Not important. Beware of this company. As for response below...I did contact the owner to no avail. No reply to electric issues.

I hired Renaissance to replace my hail damaged roof. They did a great quality job in a timely manner. Would definitely hire again. Highly recommend working with Uziel.

Best in Austin! Great work, reasonably priced, and always finish on-time. In addition, they are very creative! We needed to make some improvements to my house before putting on the market but with a strict budget. Anthony and his team thought of creative ways to re-top my outdoor grill, redo the bathroom floors, and stain our cabinets among many other little things that tremendously increased the value of my house without breaking the bank. In addition, I've been using them for about 9 years and I've also used Renaissance to replace carpets re-spindle my stairs, painting, fence repairs, and they even replaced my roof after the big hailstorm in 2009. Overall great work with personal attention and I would highly recommend them!
