Electrical reviews in Austin, Texas

Cory H arrived right on time and clearly explained everything that needed to happen for our EV charger installation. He was super friendly, provided a detailed quote, and even shared some great tips to save money and use our equipment more efficiently. Overall, we’re very satisfied with the appointment and highly recommend him!

Dylan Smith was a pretty professional electrician who reviewed my house and heard my request to install two outlets (one in the restroom and one in the garage). He also did an inspection on the double tapping I had from my inspection report and notice that I didn’t have a gas bond, so a second inspection was nice.
He has quite a bit of personality. He was interested to learn about some of the hobbies I had so it shows that he’s eager to improve his life and try his best. He helped supported with the process of financing via Upgrade.
Another one of his member showed up later to tackle the request list I had. Jasyn Pence I believe who was also pretty casual and knew what he was doing. I felt comfortable letting him take care of the house to where I didn’t need to watch over him. These guys are pretty good. -
Nathan did a great job, Very professional! I would hire him again for job.
-
Cory was extremely helpful from start to finish. I was impressed with his knowledge and soft spoken but very professional manner. These are the type of people I want to do my job. Bravo Mr Spatky.

Ryan Foley was amazing, calm, relaxed demeanor. Was able to explain in my terms what was going on with electrical outlets. Very courteous and respectful, wish everyone was as pleasant. I will be calling you all again for some other electrical upgrades as soon as they finish siding and outdoor projects.
Nathaniel Plew was my first point of contact who did the initial assessment of condition of the electrical components of my home. He explained thoroughly what needed to be done short term and long term as far as securing the safety of my home. Couldn’t have asked for a better person because I know nothing about the subject. He set me up to get the most urgent needs addressed which was followed up by Ryan. Great service from beginning to end. -
Logan did a thorough inspection and made recommendations on all electrical issues in house. He ended up doing the job he was called out for professionally and at a great price. Highly recommend!

Cory was great to work with. He was professional and very knowledgeable about installing EV charger. He was very honest about what’s required and what’s not. I would highly recommend.

We removed some fluorescent lights from our kitchen and found that there were no ceiling brackets to install updated light fixtures. Also, with two fluorescent light fixtures. It meant there were two sets of wires protruding from the ceiling about a foot apart, which would look weird, so we wanted tohave one set of wires removed, and a mounting box set for the other wires and have a new light fixture place.
Burton arrived early and knocked out all work within 30 minutes. Impressed with his punctuality and the speed in which he completed the work. He was also friendly, but professional. He listened to my concerns before and after work.
Highly recommended!
Photo is from before he cleaned up after the work was done, but he took the time to clean up, insisting he wouldn’t feel finished without the clean up. -
We recently had Dylan Smith from Mister Sparky in Austin, TX came out.
We really appreciated the time they took to educate us on the safety and efficiency of our electrical system, and they provided thoughtful guidance that will help us plan financially for future upgrades. Their professionalism, knowledge, and willingness to answer all our questions made the entire experience stress-free. We highly recommend their services! -
Nathan did a great job. Very thorough. Clearly explained the current condition of our house. Gave us reasonable options for upgrades. I did work with Mr. Sparky last year and they did an excellent job replacing the circuit breakers. Nathan did a great job with following up and letting us know how to make further improvements.

Zedekiah and Matthew replaced our 45+ year old breaker panel plus 13 outlet switches. They finished the work in roughly three hours. Both were courteous and professional.

The installer did an A+ job. Probably could have done it for cheaper if I had been willing to call around, but for quality work done on time I’m happy.
I did not expect the first person to visit my house, who was very nice and professional, was not the person who actually did the work but more of a quote guy. Be aware there is a bit of a ‘jiffy lube’ dynamic where they will try to up sell you on panel maintenance and whatnot. -
Cory was amazing! Super thorough and thoughtful. Gave us lots of options and made us feel very informed and comfortable with our choices. Would highly recommend Mr. Sparky - and especially Cory!

I really appreciated Nathan’s and Gianna’s efforts to install a new electrical panel and perform other electrical work in my home. Their extensive knowledge of best practices reflected their dedication to craftsmanship and customer service, including friendliness, professionalism, prompt arrival times, was fantastic!

Big thanks to Jasyn for the great work on my home this week. He paid special attention to detail on every project, making sure it was done how I wanted it. He informed me every step of the way so I could make the best decisions. My house is more comfortable now because of him and I love the new pendant lights in my kitchen especially!

I had a very disappointing experience with Nick from Mister Sparky.
I originally scheduled an appointment simply to have a ceiling fan installed. The fan was already assembled and just needed to be mounted and wired. When Nick arrived, he said he needed to perform a full home electrical evaluation first, which I was fine with.
However, after looking at the panel, he began making alarming statements like, “I’m surprised the breaker isn’t constantly shorting out,” and “It’s not if, but when this causes a major problem.” I was in the middle of work, so I called my husband so he could speak with him directly. We were then told the panel was in very bad shape and needed immediate replacement.
Nick sent over three options: $24,000, $15,000, and $11,000 — stating the $11,000 option would “just make the home safe.” The urgency and tone felt extremely high-pressure. When we said we wanted a second opinion, he appeared offended and made comments like, “We are the best,” “We wouldn’t be in business if we overcharged,” and even compared it to questioning a doctor recommending a heart transplant. (Yes, I absolutely would get a second opinion in that situation.) When I mentioned my uncle is a master electrician, he responded, “Then why isn’t he here to install your fan?” Because he was out of town and I didn't want him to go out of his way to just put up a fan.
After declining the panel work, I asked for the price to simply install the fan — it was nearly $600.
For context, I work in real estate and review inspection reports regularly, including electrical panels that genuinely need replacement. I have never seen numbers that high. That raised serious red flags.
I contacted one of our trusted electricians, who I should have called first but didn't want to waste his time with something so simple he is very busy. He came out within 30 minutes of Nick leaving, thoroughly inspected everything, and confirmed there was absolutely nothing wrong with our panel. He is a two-time master electrician and electrical engineer, so I trust his expertise. He installed the fan for $100 in under 20 minutes and even serviced the panel for peace of mind.
The entire experience felt unnecessarily alarming and high-pressure. I checked reviews before booking and was surprised given how positive they were. Unfortunately, this was not our experience at all. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before committing to any major electrical work. And I would not have Mister Sparky be your first, second or third choice!! -
Bon gave me estimate on installing a new breaker box and even showed me 3 options with different prices . He also explained I could get financing. Very nice young man, he diffently did an awesome job. Today 10/31/25 Burton came with a co worker to install an amazing job!

Nathan installed my Ring cams and various electrical projects, and was able to be quick on his toes when the unexpected happened andwhen we ran into issues with my HVAC outdoor electrical. Thank you for being flexible, communicative, friendly, and a job excellently done!

I am very satisfied with my experience with Mister Sparky. I got to personally work with Caleb and he exceeded my expectations. We recently got an EV and needed to install an at home charger. He did a complete walkthrough of our home and gave several options. The install was exactly what I wanted and is working out great! Highly recommend this company. They are thorough, professional, personable, and not pushy like some of the other companies out there. Will definitely work with them in the future.

Tech did not bring booties or offer to take shoes off. Ripped breaker box off the wall, causing paint to tear. Did not bring vacuum to clean up after himself. Broke a screw, did not even acknowledge that, then left, visibly annoyed that we didn't go for his 12k estimate right away. Did not send estimates as promised, had to reach out to the office.
Terrible experience, damaged home. Holding my breath as to whether this company will offer any version of a recovery.
Thoroughly disappointed and upset, def do not recommend. -
worked with two separate employees -- both helpful, knowledgeable and kind. will be using for future electrical needs!
