AHS recently installed a home theater at our house and I couldn’t be happier. I haven’t had a TV for 20 years, and a proper stereo for longer than that, so I was completely clueless on what sort of system would make sense. Randal walked me through the various options, we put together a plan, and then the install team came out and executed. During the installation, Gavin, Bruce, and the rest of the team consulted with me over various “judgment calls,” so we were on the same page at all times. Every step of the way, everybody I dealt with was extremely professional. As some other reviewers have noted, there was no upsell pressure; they genuinely want you to be happy with the end result, that is all. I give AHS my highest recommendation.

Starting from our initial conversation with Randal, it was clear that AHS is a clear local leader in home system automation. The proposal was clear, they worked with our budget, and the implimentation was easy and smooth. We had some teething issues with the systems (to be expected with complicated audio/visual/security/etc systems all being integrated) but the staff (Luke, Zach) were excellent in supporting us for any follow-up and requests. Highly recommended.

I am a VERY happy repeat customer of Austin Home Systems. Their combination of knowledge, execution, products, and customer service is second to none. The best testimony I can give is that after having an amazing whole Home audio system set up by Austin Home Systems, I moved to a new home and decided use them again. They have high-quality hi-fi audio equipment and their entire process from planning to install is streamlined and client-oriented. I couldn't be happier. Stuart in the showroom knows his audio through and through (he has been around since there was a separate Hi-Fi shop before it was expanded to whole home automation). Randal, one of the owners, is a real pleasure to work with and definitely appreciates the importance of details being done well. The install team is top-notch, working efficiently, cleanly, and sensitive to aesthetic outcomes. The programming team will work to make sure it is set up and tweaked to perfection--Luke and Gavin with the programming team teed up all my system elements for a seamless user experience and high-quality output. And I am very picky! Although mine were probably relatively small jobs for them, the care and attention to detail made me feel very valued, and the end result will blow you away especially if you are an audiophile. I've had incredible experiences with Austin Home Systems, through larger (end-to-end networking and home automation implementations) and smaller (simple cable runs and addition of single devices) projects.

The design approach let by Randal (overall) and Anya (blinds) was a great mix of collaboration while providing their specific expertise to meet our needs. I appreciated that we could co-design in this way.

When it comes to installation, the teams, including Jim, Bruce, Jesse, Eric and coordination with Jason and many others were all incredible. The quality of the services is great. A few anecdotes.

- Our other contractors were a bit humbled at the speed in which the implementation team laid out and installed all the cabling in the walls - and the organization and attention to detail was unable to be matched
- Every team member at Austin Home Systems was professional and kind with their interactions
- A reminder was rarely, if ever, required for any promised follow-ups, they were just done
- As the design process, the implementation was extremely collaborative, and the "training" was more of a continuation of a conversation among colleagues, which was great

I've been a happy customer of AHS since 2022 and while my system works rocks solid to this day, I know that if I ever need anything and when I inevitably add things I can't do on my own, they are always ready. Thanks!

Excellent service and so professional. I had an interesting request which required AHS to figure out how to set up karaoke through my home sound system and use YouTube. Setup works awesome. All my friends are jealous. Home theater sound is quality which makes watching movies feel like I’m in the theater. Highly recommend!

I can't say enough great things about the people at Austin Home Systems. To start, John is extremely easy to work with and listened to all concerns and ideas we had in building our home theater. He was quick to respond to texts, emails and phone calls with any questions and concerns we had. We had Kris then one of the owners, Randal come out to the home to do a walk through and discuss the house, project and thoughts on what our end goal was. They were great at giving us a full picture of what we were going to have built. They promised an amazing set up and system and to say we got that is an understatement.

The techs Kris, Chris and Julian came to the home to do the install and setup. So professional and great to have at the home. By the time they were done it was like having old friends over to the home.

Now, the most important part. The end result. There is absolutely no reason to ever go out to a movie again as the quality would not be the same as our home theatre. From the Martin Logan and Tru Audio speakers to the Sony True 4K projector and 145 inch screen all managed by Control4, it all came together perfectly. We also had them tie in the room lights and home thermostats both upstairs and down. We are having them back out in a few weeks to add security to the home.

In total, this experience has been a welcome change to how many people do business. They are true professionals and overall just great people who want the customers vision to be all and more than they could dream of. We will continue to use AHS for future projects and look forward to a great relationship and friendship with all the people there. A HUGE thanks to everyone involved with our dream home theatre.

The AHS team recently completed a large Control4 home automation project for our new house that spanned distributed 4k video, CCTV, walking + vehicle gates, smart pool integration, media room, network drops plus whole house interior & exterior audio, televisions and wifi.

With a multi week effort of this size, things can easily slip or get missed. However, everything turned out great and the final product truly exceeded our expectations with exceptional service throughout the process.

If you’re looking for motorized shades or other window treatments, we highly recommend Austin Home Systems. Anya came to our home and helped us decide what would work best for our needs, including helping us pick out fabric from the hundreds of options available. After taking measurements and putting together a proposal, it was only a few weeks before our window treatments were ready to install. The installation was quick and easy, and everything works beautifully. We did top/down shades in some rooms, but most impressive are the Lutron motorized shades that work seamlessly with our existing Control 4 system (also installed by Austin Home Systems). We can easily control them from our phones in the Control 4 app or through switches on the wall. We’ve also set custom schedules so they automatically open and close every day at the same time. Pretty incredible and highly recommend working with Anya and the Austin Home Systems team.
