Austonion picked up four of my rugs for cleaning *and repair*'in the beginning of October 2015. There was a crystal clear understanding that the rugs needed to be finished by Thanksgiving. The owner was at my home helping and he acknowledged the same.

By mid November I began calling and learned that the woman who was their lone rug repair specialist was indisposed for a personal reason. Austonion hoped that the situation would be sorted out in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Needless to say it never happened. At this point my rugs had been held for nearly two months. Austonion did clean them. So we settled on that.

But it was disappointing and poor communication on their end that sealed the deal for us so close to the holidays. Their subsequent pitching back at us our still unrepaired rugs was all she wrote.

Walking in the door, you know you’ve arrived at the right place for your (rug) needs. The owner/staff are extremely knowledgeable-the history of rug/peoples origins to current cleaning processes appropriate for the materials. They explain the steps necessary to bring out the best of your item, heirloom or heirloom to be. Quality takes time and they are well worth it.

I have been using Austonian for well over 10 years - I would NEVER consider using anyone else. Mike, the owner, answers the phone and books the appointments. Roger and Mitchel are fantastic, arrive on time, and have responded quickly when I have called with an emergency. They come twice a year. Prices are very reasonable.

What can be said that has not already been. Mike Is the go to guy for oriental rugs. Many of his competitors go to him when they run into trouble.
I myself have had to call on Mike several time in my 36 years of cleaning area rugs. If you want it done right in Austin, Austonian is the place to go.

I found the Austonian at the recommendation of my long time upholsterer when my granddaughter's new jeans rubbed off on my expensive chair. They saved the chair and I was thrilled. I began to take my favorite rugs to them for cleaning and think they are wonderful!! I highly recommend them!!

Mike and his company is Awesome! I had accidentally dripped some bleach from a toilet brush and created a path of little bleach spots from one bathroom to the next! Over 45 little spots! Before I found Austonia I had used another rug company that assured me they could dye the spots. No problem! Well...big problems ! They made it worse where they tried to fix it. Then I found Austonia. Mike spent at least 8 hours the first trip on the spots that they had made worse. The spots that previous company had not messed with Mike fixed immediately with no problem. Mike even came back multiple times even on his days off till it was right. Now you can’t tell where the bleach spots were. Saved us at least $3000 on new carpeting. Mike is very nice and conscientious and takes pride in his company and work. I cant say enough good things! Highly recommend!

The owner, Mike is very knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. He told me lots about my rugs that I did not know. I purchased my rugs from markets and locals when I traveled, and they did not provide me details. I bought them in Egypt and Turkey. His staff cleaned the rugs thoroughly and carefully!

The Austonian salvaged a couple of our Middle Eastern rugs which had some difficult-to-remove spots. They also did an excellent job of repairing worn edges and of binding the fringe ends of rugs. I would trust them with my best rugs.
