We worked with Southern Love in May 2025 and had a wonderful experience. We did a little work the previous year with another company and the difference in professionalism and work was night and day. Harrison helped us envision the space and took all of our wants (and did not wants) into consideration and Nikk and the team made it all happen. We had them add irrigation off of an existing system, extend a rock bed around our tree, resod the entire yard, and build out the entire pool area - rock, pavers, deck and railing, and cowboy pool included. They coordinated directly with their electrician and the Cowboy Pool team so we were able to be hands off throughout the process. Communication from the entire team truly could not have been better. Nikk himself was in our backyard daily checking in with the crew and making sure everything was perfect. They delivered top tier work in just a couple of weeks and we could not be happier!

We're so glad we chose Southern Love Landscaping & Design for our backyard remodel. From a former "mud pit" of a yard to a beautiful backyard that us and the dogs can comfortably use daily. Harrison, Nikk and crew were amazing, punctual and efficient. The crew worked hard every day from sun up to sun down, being super meticulous to the point I even saw them trimming up some parts with scissors to get it to look just right!
Harrison was also able to give us some better ideas on how to improve the flow of the yard and to best handle a yard with 5 dogs! We are very pleased with the final outcome.

Back story: our 18 yr old front yard was at the end of its line and had major erosion issues. We needed not only a lawn /plant replacement but functional improvements with irrigation and drainage.

The team is highly professional. After a nightmare scenario with the last company I worked with, Southern Love Landscaping & Design was a nice change of scenery. To get the ball rolling, I spoke to a young man named Jason who was very polite and knowledgeable. Shortly after, we saw the design and agreed on the details.

We had a wonderful experience working with Southern Love Landscaping from beginning to end. Jason was patient and thoughtful helping us get through the design process for our space. Once we agreed on plans, he accommodate our calendar and the crew showed up promptly to work on our set day. We started with a backyard that was essentially unusable--mostly dirt and dead grass--and ended up with a space we actually want to spend time in.

They handled the full transformation: Texas native plants, fresh sod, irrigation, lighting, a new patio with poured concrete pavers, a pergola, and decking built around our above-ground pool. The result feels intentional, cohesive, and well suited to both the climate and how we use the space.

We worked with their designers to develop the plan, and that process was smooth and collaborative. They listened, had good instincts, and were happy to iterate with us until the design felt right. From first contact to breaking ground took about three months, which felt reasonable given the scope. Once construction started, everything moved fast--the entire project was completed around two to three weeks.

Most importantly, we're extremely happy with the outcome. The yard is beautiful and dramatically more usable than before.

Jason and Nikk were a pleasure to work with throughout: friendly, proactive, communicative, with good taste and a strong sense for design. I'd happily recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their outdoor space.

When we first moved in, our backyard was just grass and weeds - nothing special, just another new-build lot waiting for some life. We hired Southern Love Landscaping to design and install an outdoor kitchen and full landscape using only Texas native plants and trees.

From day one, these guys were awesome. The crew showed up on time, cleaned up every day, and treated our property like it was their own. They worked hard, paid attention to detail, and wrapped up right on schedule - which is almost unheard of in construction.

We did run into a few pricing changes compared to some of the early contractor bids, but honestly, that’s just part of the game. The quality of the work and how it all came together made it more than worth it.

Now the backyard feels like part of Texas - not something dropped in from a catalog. Everything looks natural and well thought out, and the outdoor kitchen turned out even better than we hoped.

He showed up the next morning with a professional, hard working crew and got straight to work. They were well mannered and did a phenomenal job making everything look perfect.
