He also had great ideas and is very capable at helping plan the design and willing to adjust based on wants and budget. They worked super quickly and we couldn’t be happier with the final result. This was our first ‘major’ landscaping project, so we didn’t really know what to expect. But Nik and his team walked us through each phase, laid out process expectations, timelines and everything in between. Transparency, communication, and consultation at levels you won’t find elsewhere.

Nik was so aligned with our vision that we ended up siding with most of his recommendations over what we originally had in mind. This dude is THAT good. And his team is no different. All were very respectful of our property and mindful of the fact we have two large dogs - they even prioritized steps in the process that allowed us to safely let the dogs use the yard mid-project. The team was kind, precise and efficient.

We could go on and on with nothing but excellent things to say…VERY happy customers, and we’re itching to loop them in on future projects!

I feel fortunate that I met Nikk Nguyen, who had been contracted by the builder next door to construct a new fence around that lot, which included the back of mine. Since my 15-year-old fence was on its last leg, I asked Nikk to quote replacement of the remainder of my fence as well. He's a super nice guy, easy to work with, provided a fair estimate, and as you can see from the photos, his crew built a beautiful fence. They promptly addressed a couple minor issues that I brought up, and even did a few nice extras like re-mounting the landscape lighting transformer. Cleanup was spotless, still haven't found even one nail left over. Final cost was as estimated. I'm very pleased with the result and would recommend Southern Love for any fence work that you need.

Harrison at Southern Love was awesome. Great communication, really knowledgeable about native plants, and always showed up when he said he would. Raul and his crew were fantastic too, they worked for about eight days, showed up on time every day, and kept everything clean and organized. Harrison (the designer) and Nikk (the owner) were on-site most days making sure everything turned out exactly as we discussed. Couldn’t be happier with the result!

Superb job by Nikk and his team as you can see in the pictures. My landscaping was out of control with overgrown wild plants in the front and back yard and Southern Love stepped up big time. Not only did they clean it all up but they also transformed a dreaded sight into exactly what I was hoping for - clean, simple, and low maintenance while keeping it classy. They are a hardworking group with great attention to details and super easy to work with. They don’t cut corners and the job is not done until their customer’s happy. Highly recommend for any landscape work if you’re looking for a well-rounded company that’s honest, affordable, and talented.

Nikk and his team at Southern Love landscapes are amazing! We had a large backyard project. Their bid for the project was very competitive. Raul was project foreman. His attention to detail and his skills we're awesome. They showed up everyday on time and always cleaned up the site before leaving. The finished project exceeded my expectations. Nikk was in constant communication with me throughout the project. I will definitely keep using them to maintain my landscape.

Had a great experience working with Harrison and crew to re-design my backyard and also added in new a flagstone patio. They have a great, knowledgeable team that is easy to work with. I am glad I chose Southern Love and highly recommend them.

Nikk and his team redesigned then renovated our entire yard, front and back. The build process was fast and thorough, with exceptional workmanship! We hit a few snags along the way like any renovation/construction project, but each time Nikk would say he wanted us to be happy, then made things right. He conducted himself like a gentleman from start to finish, something my wife and I both appreciated. We found lower and higher priced alternatives but can't imagine getting more value for our money than we did with Southern Love Landscaping & Design. We now use their weekly lawn maintenance service where the attention to detail and customer experience continues. We discovered Southern Love through online reviews, took the plunge, and couldn't be more satisfied! Odds are, you will be too.

We hired Nikk and crew to replace a retaining wall that was collapsing. After seeing what a great job they were doing, we hired them to regrade and plant our entire back yard, adding a brick patio, stepping stones, fences, and irrigation.

I don’t have before pictures, but you might think it was a deserted lot! The retaining wall (80’) was collapsing, and the yard was quite sloped and weedy.

Nikk’s guys showed up everyday 8-5, and they cleaned up at the end of every day. Nikk stopped by everyday and is EXTREMELY responsive by text.

It’s been about a month, and we’re meeting with Nikk later this week to talk front yard.

Super happy with the team at Southern Love. They were originally recommended to me by my realtor and they did a beautiful and thoughtful job renovating my front and back lawns in Circle C. I really appreciate that I can text the team who worked on my home (including the owner) any time for help troubleshooting and tips on maintenance - these guys are great and the quality is much better than some of the other things I see with yard updates. I think it’s added significantly to the resale value of my house and the yard updates improved my happiness with the way my yard looks! I can’t say enough good things about Southern Love Landscaping.
I contracted with them to do a fairly large project at my home that involved installing a new flagstone patio, rebuilding several flagstone walkways, demoing out two concrete walkways to install a new walkway with custom poured concrete pavers, install heavy gauge metal edging throughout the backyard and constructing a cedar stairwell handrail. I provided my own design and Nikk and his crew made it a reality. I solicited proposals from (4) other landscape contractors and Southern Love was the most competitive. I was impressed at the start as Nikk was the only contractor that actually took site measurements. The others either relied solely on a plat survey I provided or just eyeballed it.
As a retired engineer and facilities director, I know what a well-managed project should look like. The project was well coordinated. The crew showed up exactly on time every day and the project was completed on schedule. The finished project turned out beautiful.
Nikk is in constant communication, to provide updates or ask questions. When contacted he will typically pick up right away or call back very quickly. Any issues that arose were quickly addressed and resolved.
I had three change orders on my project and they were all reasonably priced. Unfortunately, some contractors see a change order as a blank check.
In conclusion Southern Love performs excellent work at a good value. I will definitely use them again in the future and would highly recommend them to others.

We highly recommend southern Love Landscaping for your project. They did an absolutely amazing job with our backyard patio, which included a fire pit, hardscape and landscaping. We are beyond pleased with the work they did and the owner, Nik, always had clear and constant communication throughout the entire process.

Nikk and his team at Southern Love helped make our backyard hoop dreams a reality, and provided a wonderful play space for our kids. The transformation that happened is truly unbelievable, and I want to take a minute to write an honest review of our experience with this Southern Love Landscape team.

Nikk (owner) was our first point of contact. He came out to discuss our project and take measurements. Immediately we felt comfortable with his openness and landscape intelligence. He helped us to see the potential of a previously unused space and make a plan that we were happy to pursue.

After we scheduled the work to be done, the Southern Love crew came to our house at 8am sharp every day on the project, which created a predictable routine for us. The crew leaders Raul and Eddy were super friendly and knowledgeable, and their workers were all very hard working. During the middle of our project, Austin was hit with the ice storm in Jan 2023. Luckily for us, since we already had the project going on, the crew came out as soon as the roads were drivable and helped us to clear a ton of trees and fallen branches.

For this project, we wanted to:
- Pour a concrete pad and install an in-ground basketball hoop
- Make a walkway with pavers from the driveway through the side yard
- Replace old brick pavers with turf
- Build a new set of stairs up to our back guest house
- Replace an old fence that separated the front yard from our neighbor’s with a short retaining wall
- Build a tall privacy fence that also acted as goal netting (for basketballs)
- Build a separate decorative trellis fence for our play ground area
- Install landscape lighting throughout
- Build 2 other new retaining walls and add drainage where needed
- Assemble a new tool shed, placed on a new concrete pad
- Do some gardening and add about 18 plants to the side yard

This long list of tasks was methodically knocked out one by one, and the crew ensured that the work was as near perfect as possible. The job site was cleaned at the end of each day. Raul and Eddy were especially receptive to my questions and feedback, which I had hundreds along the way (not an exaggeration). Their expertise in their trade was impressive, and we grew very fond of talking with them every day since they are genuinely nice guys. Nikk also checked in to the work site regularly and chatted with me to make sure I was satisfied with the work being done. He heard my concerns and addressed them with the crew immediately, whether it was a slightly misaligned fence picket or filling in the pathway with more material. The respect that the crew had for each other and for me as the homeowner was present the whole time (our project took just about 1 month to complete).

We are blown away with the results, and extremely satisfied with the value that Nikk and the Southern Love Crew created for our family. We have already spent so much time in our backyard with the neighbors and kids (see some of our before/after pictures!).

We are definitely looking forward to hiring Southern Love Landscape again in a few seasons for our next project, and you should too!

Our yard was in bad shape after a year of construction, and we couldn’t be happier choosing Southern Love. Their pricing was competitive, Nikkolas was extremely organized and a great communicator, he was super knowledgeable and helpful selecting the right mix of plants, and the crew was so hardworking and detail oriented. Nik worked with us to evolve the design as we got into the build and the crew cleaned up every day before leaving. For probably close to 30 years, I've tried to create and implement my own landscape design that took advantage of native and adapted plants with varying sizes, textures, and colors, mixed with perennial and evergreen plants for year round interest. Jason was the representative who I had the pleasure of meeting with and he made a project that I was beyond stressed about planning so smooth and manageable. My request wasn’t small or simple either, they helped me install a patio with a deck, plants, and an irrigation system. I was worried about the actual landscaping and construction process but my fears were put to ease by the crew who were always prompt, mindful of myself and the property, and cleaned their messes as they went.
