McDowd Plumbing SAVED ME!
My sink started to drain slowly for a week and after countless over the counter remedies, it completely stopped draining!!!! In a panic, I called around and on a GREAT recommendation, was sent to McDowd. They listened to the issue and my concerns and came out the next day! It took them less than an hour to get the clog dislodged! They were very polite, professional, affordable, and the communication went above and beyond! Hopefully I never have a clogged drain again, but if I do, I know who I will call!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!

McDowd Plumbing was able to come out to my emergency call, I had a pipe burst by the main water shut off valve. He was able to have me back on city water quickly and without any issues.

Will use again for any and all future plumbing needs!!!

I had a great experience with McDowd Plumbing. Rob was extremely knowledgeable about the work he was doing and took the time to explain everything clearly. He arrived prepared, was pleasant and professional throughout, and quickly completed the repair on my blown outdoor pipe. It’s clear he takes pride in his work and knows his stuff—highly recommend!

Rob was easy to schedule and made quick work to have sewer line scope done for a home inspection. The reports are drafted up in concise clear way with video and pictures of where any potential issues may arise. Very well priced in the area for the work he does would recommend!

Rob was out recently to replace a water heater in my home. The water heater was located in a very difficult location - in a corner, inside a kitchen cabinet with very little clearance - the confined space to work was a definite challenge. Rob communicated frequently through text and calls and worked with me to find a comparable replacement. He answered all my questions and gave options to consider. He arrived on time, worked efficiently, and cleaned up his work space. He is a master plumber, was helpful, and professional. Definitely will use him in the future and recommend him.

Rob is honest, communicates, and prices fairly. I have used him at a rental property 3 times over the last year and every time he has provided quality service. Additionally, even though I haven’t been at the property with him, I know he’s someone I can trust based on his level of communication and quality workmanship. He’s the only plumber in Austin I’ll call.

Needed to replace the water shut off valve and PRV to my house for a price that wouldn’t kill the bank and luckily Rob answered the call! He Beat the other quotes and with a hand got it knocked out in an afternoon! Thanks guys!

McDowd plumbing were great when we had another plumber dropped the ball. They came by when we were in a pinch and have become our family plumber from here on out.

I had Rob come out to check my toilet after my two year old flushed a nightlight down the toilet. He came out and installed a brand new toilet for us.Rob was extremely friendly, professional and efficient. He quoted me half the price from what the previous company I called quoted me. We will defiently be using Rob in the future and referring him to friends and family for business :)

We had an excellent experience working with Rob Dowd of McDowd Plumbing. We hired Rob to repair a serious leak under our home after he was referred to us by another client of his who was also happy with his service. Rob was extremely responsive and nearly always answered when we called with questions. If he didn't immediately answer, we never had to wait long for him to call us back. His knowledge and professionalism put us at ease, and he explained everything clearly so we knew exactly what was being done. On top of that, he was friendly, trustworthy and easy to work with, which made the whole process stress-free. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for reliable and skilled plumbing work.

Rob came out and did a great job installing a new water softener system. He had to redo some previous plumbing and explained the process the entire way. We are very pleased with his work and his excellent communication with us.

We had a slow leak in a pipe and Rob came out almost immediately when I first called. He gave us a reasonable quote, able to beat the price of the two we had already spoken to. And he was able to get the pipe changed out the next day. Such a positive experience for something you never like having to spend money on. Rob is an excellent plumber and provides great customer service. He’s easy to talk to and does an awesome job at explaining issues and how to fix them. He’s also super quick to come out and even quicker to get the job done.

AMAZING! All around best experience I could have possibly had with having to replace my hot water heater. Nothing is more stressful than having to do emergency home repairs especially around Christmas time. My hot water heater broke late at night and I spent a few hours trying to YouTube to hopefully do a quick fix. After hours of getting absolutely nowhere I decided that this was way beyond my scope. I called Rob the next day and he immediately dropped by in just a few hours to take a look. He gave me a very comprehensive but very easy to understand diagnosis and a few recommendations of how to move forward. If you’re looking for someone who is kind and understanding and professional I couldn’t recommend Rob more. I decided to go with Rob and he was able to get in the next day. Rob went above and beyond to prioritize my hot water heater and was very empathetic about the time sensitivity of the situation. Him and his assistant were able to replace my water heater in just a few quick hours which was honestly impressive because it’s located in a tight cramped space in my garage. Rob was wonderful to work with. He made a really stressful situation as smooth and as easy as it could have gone. Would 11/10 recommend Rob!!
