You are having an electrical problem you need to call this guy! Mr. Leija went above and beyond what I expected for an electrician he came late in the afternoon which was great because I was off work by then. He worked for over 2 hours with my issue all the time explaining to me what he was doing and was going to do to diagnose and find my issue. I mention the working over 2 hours because he did not charge me by the hour like some other guys he just charged me a flat rate, a very reasonable flat rate, until he fixed my issue. STEP Electric has been a valuable asset since I moved to Brownsville. My new place has random little failures and new power needs. This team has been great at being able to accommodate my schedule and has clear quotes. Example of projects done at my place so far: pull in power for a dishwasher and garbage disposal, power to charge my Tesla and replace broken breakers.

Very happy with the service I received. I called this morning and he came over the same day. He was able to determine the problem and fixed it the same day and at a very reasonable price. Extremely happy. Thank you for an outstanding job! Definitely recommend.

He was able to come out the same day I called to check out our issues. He had everything on his truck to knock out our multiple problems. He was knowledgeable, informative, fast, and friendly. I know everybody pockets are different but I feel he wasn't expensive.
He had to fix, A/C power panel, circuit breaker, exposed wires, and outdoor light fixtures.

Mr. Leija was very friendly and provided great service. He knows his stuff! Recommend him for service. He even went to buy the part we needed.. 5 stars!

I had an amazing experience. Jose came out on a Sunday to assist me with what seemed like a breaker issue that cut off all my electrical power. He took the time to assess the problem and help with the solutions. We had to have BPUB come out to service my main electrical line. I was up and running within a few hours. Definitely will be using STEP Electric Pros again!

Recent EV purchase requiring charger install. Contacted at least 5 other companies-a majority of them wanted $75-150 just for a non refundable service call. STEP conveniently scheduled an appointment based on my schedule and had the task completed at a very reasonable price within hours. The electrician, Jose Leija, was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. My mother was very pleased with his work, and his rate was reasonable. We highly recommend StepElectricPros.

Jose came in on sunday to give an estimate for installation on a transfer switch box with an inlet box for my generator. He recommended an interlock kit that goes in the breaker box and the inlet box. This would avoid turning off and on so many switches from both boxes and saves time and most important money. He was not able to do the job that day due to that the breaker was not available in lowes or home depot. Came back on Monday and had everything installed within an hour in half. Did a clean job and didn't leave a mess. I'll be able to power my whole house with my generator when power goes out, thanks to Jose.

As a female, I am often given ridiculously high quotes. At times, the salespeople are pushy and want you to sign a contract without even giving you a detail list of what the contract entails.
