I am not too happy with the service I got from American Leak Detection. In my opinion they charge a premium price and I expect premium service in return. I paid $1400 to have a single line leak detected and repaired. The fix was in a very accessible place about 1 foot down so I don't think it's a very good value. Here are my complaints:

1. They cancelled the morning of the appointment twice after waiting over a week for each appointment.
2. They have different crews for everything. They use an outside company to dig the hole which has to be scheduled separately from the actual plumbing repair. The whole process from calling for an appointment to actually getting the line fixed to finally getting the dirt put back takes like a month.
3. I actually did like the guy that did the leak detection and repair but for the repair he put in 4 - 90 degree elbows when there was a straight line there before. See the attached pictures. It seemed like the way a homeowner would fix it and not a professional. This is a pool suction line for a pump running an infinity edge and I don't think adding 4 elbows is good for the water flow.

In the end, the line is fixed but feel I could find another company to do it for less money or with less issues for the same price.

Update- I got a call from their manager and he listened to my story but that's it. Nothing changed about my experience.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! They did horrible work on my home leak detection & nothing was fixed. They said it was just a toilet leak and turned off the valve, but the leak has persisted. It took them only a few minutes to make that determination. I even questioned if that could be the only reason that the water bills were so high, and was told yes.

After the water bills continued to be exorbitant the following month after months, they said I would have to pay another full fee ($350) to have them come back out to detect the leak again. I've dealt with many vendors before and this was extremely bad customer service.

Our pool has been leaking for the past year and we weren’t exactly sure of the source. American Leak Detection came out and did a thorough job and identified the areas where we had active leaks, and provided a quote and recommendations to fix the problem. Service was great, as was the cost of the diagnosis.

Ryan our technician was great! Took his time to diagnose the problem and was efficient when fixing the problem! Also gave me some advice on what to do between the diagnoses and the repair.

I had a great experience with American Leak Detection. Dan was professional, knowledgeable, and very thorough in finding the leak. He explained everything clearly, worked efficiently. I really appreciated the honesty and excellent customer service. I highly recommend American Leak Detection for anyone needing reliable leak detection and repair.

Curtis came out and pinpointed our slab leak very quickly. They came out, dug under our foundation and had the leaking pipe fixed in one day. Curtis explained everything very clearly and did such a great job. We would recommend American Leak Detection to anyone needing plumbing services.

Can't say one thing bad about ALD. The extra care they took to help control dirt. The extra care they took on the fix itself. It's hard to keep things clean when this is a inside under foundation leak repair. They get 5 Stars. Job well done!

I am so pleased with the job that American Leak detection did for us. They found a leak tested every way to fix it and then proceeded to dig through the concrete and make a hole to go down under the house and fix the leak by the hot water heater in the garage. They kept everything clean and around that hole that they dug and then when they fixed it and put everything back, everything was neat and cleaned up tidy. I was very happy with the job that they did. ❤️❤️

Dennis was excellent!! Knew exactly what he was doing and explained every step of the process. I was referred to American Leak Detection by my boss upon suspicion that we had a plumbing leak, and I am very happy I listened to his recommendation. Informed all the way and identified my leak. Very efficient, affordable, and I would recommend their services

The plumber was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me so that I could understand the process he undertook as he looked for, and found the leak. I Highly recommend this company. My insurance company paid for it so I’m not sure how much it cost.

If I had negative stars I would give it , they came and made the situation worst. City of frisco came and found a Gatorade bottle where American leak tech worked and the company does not own up to the mess they made.

They came to my house and discovered a leak by the water meter. The did a great job and the inspector was very knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and was very professional. Great guy!

Found the leak fairly quickly, had to chisel away ice due to recent storms. Came back two weeks later and fixed it. I really like the 2 year warranty and that the worker video taped the leak before fixing since I couldn’t be home while he was working. I would recommend.

The technician showed up and started the repair job for my pool. He fixed the leak under the deck and then had to repair the decking where he had to remove it to fix the leak. He did and excellent job repairing the decking, I can hardly tell where the decking had been removed and replaced. The work site was cleaned up and I was very pleased with the job that the technician did. I would highly recommend American Leak Detection for any plumbing repairs.

Gary was professional, knowledgeable and the experience from beginning was easy, with clear communication. They charged me less than expected after uncovering an unrelated issue. Would absolutely recommend!

We needed to have a Post-Foundation Static Pressure test performed promptly to move forward with a property sale. The company was recommended by a local plumber. They were able to come out the very next day to complete the tests. The results were communicated to the owner and the report was available the very next day. The service was reasonably priced, too.

American Leak Detection did an outstanding job conducting a smoke test of our sewer system and finding the source of our issue and resolving it. They were professional, friendly, informative, and accommodating. I highly recommend them!

We had a pool leak last year. American Leak Detection discovered where the leak was and fixed it. This month I called them again because I thought we might have another leak. They were so thorough in checking for a pool leak and, fortunately, there wasn't one. However, Ryan found something in the skimmer that could be causing some issues and promptly fixed it. We won't use any other leak detection company. I trust them and their employees. They're a fair, professional and, most of all, honest company.
